Clear path...

My prayer:

I don't know how to ask for what I need tonight God. I know you are already in charge and in control, working all things for my good. So, I don't pray over the circumstances tonight. 

I pray and ask that you fill me with whatever it is I need to do whatever you want me to do. If that is compassion, fill me with your compassion. If that is love, fill me with your love. If that is purpose, fill me with your purpose. 

Thank you God for equipping me for whatever you have for me this week.

What God Said Tonight:

Every rock unturned is covering a secret. Every rock overturned has revealed its secret. Over turning rocks is not a useful way to spend your time. 

The path I have laid for you is clear. Follow your feet and you will reach our destination. The timing is set and is not in jeopardy. 

You are my love. Take each step with assurance. I love you .

The in between season...

My prayer:

Thank you for all of the answered prayers lately God. You are taking care of us and our situations and I am so grateful. There is a lot still up in the air but each day gives me more hope for the future. I love you now and forever my God.

What God Said Tonight:

The harvest is ripening. The season for harvest and storing for the cold to come is here. 

This is a season of preparation and a season of realizing the fruits of the past seasons. In this season, take time to savor all that has been done while preparing for what is to come. Take time in this season to feel the comfort of the past and the excitement of the future while you are in between both. 

This place of in between does not have to be uncomfortable. It can be a place of great comfort. Like a blanket and a cup of hot cider in a rain storm, this season is all about storing up and preparing. 

See the maturity around you and see the maturity within in  you. It is all in place to take you into your future.

Different viewpoint...

My prayer:

Thank you for the clarity and insight you just gave me God about my situation. 

It helps to make sense of it for sure but now what do I do with that knowledge? Do I need to find a way to be ok with it or do I need to leave that situation? Knowledge is good but I also need the wisdom to know what to do with the knowledge. Do I need to reason this out or will you show me the way?

Life is exhausting right now God. All of it. I know I said I was ready for change and I am; but the process of getting there is wearing me out. 

God, my life is yours and as always, I pray your will is done in my life.

What God Said Tonight:

It is a different view of the same thing. The situation has not changed but you are seeing it from a different angle. 

It is up to you to decide how you feel about what you see. It is up to you to decide if that makes the situation easier or harder for you. 

My plans have not changed. This new vision and viewpoint are not new to me. My plan is still in place and in progress. Make your choices based on what you know to be right and good, in the long run. 

In the short term, let this new vision be a reminder that not everything that you see is what you think it is. You think you know the truth and understand what is happening around you but you only understand the viewpoint that you have. The truth is much more complex. 

Find you peace in the grace and love that you receive from me. Remember that others need that same grace and love and you get to be a conduit for it. I love you and you are safe in my will.

The battle cry...

My prayer:

Thanks for the luxury of rest this weekend God. I definitely needed it. Tonight, I am just hungry for your voice. Your presence, your love, your voice are the BEST things in all existence. My holy and awesome God.

What God Said Tonight:

The battle cry is ringing out from the mountain top. I am raising my sword in warning. The battle is upon us and the victory will be mine. 

I am a gentle God. I am a loving God but never forget, I am also the all powerful God. 

I am roaring my warning. Pay heed to it. Get covered in the blood of my son. Receive your protection that I have provided for you. My anger and my wrath is not for my children.

God hugs...

My prayer:

I am learning not to get upset or worried or even disappointed when things don't go the way I hoped they would. I am learning that you really do have a plan, every time, and what I see today may have nothing to do with what actually happens in the end.

But, it is also leaving me a bit numb. While I am not getting too upset when things go wrong, I also find I am not getting too happy when things go well. 

Where is the balance God? Where is the place where I can live in joy, trusting you, and not go off the deep end when things get hard? 

What God Said Tonight:

I never intended your life to be a roller coaster. When you set your eyes on me you can live in joy regardless of the circumstances. 

Your joy, rooted in me and in our relationship will never falter because I will never falter. Your joy in the events of your life will wax and wane because those things are in constant state of change. 

Your place of peace comes from knowing that no matter what the circumstances of your life may be, you can always find joy in me. You can always find peace in me. When things are going well and when things are rough, I am always there. 

Live your life, experience the ups and downs but your downs will never be too low and your highs will always be found in me. I am the borders of your life, like a hug around every circumstance.

What God looks at...

My prayer:

I am super curious about what you are going to do next God. 

Today was such a mix of exciting potential and stagnant disappointment. I find myself in such a place of peace tonight, convinced that you are taking care of it all. I sure like this place of trust better than where I was a couple nights ago, convinced that my dreams were being crushed. 

I pray for your help to stay in this place of trust and awe while you work it all out. I LOVE YOU!!!

What God Said Tonight:

Man sees what is in front of him. I see what is inside of him. It is the nature of a man that determines his future. It is his core that determines his success. 

You look at circumstances but I look at you. I look at your spirit cloaked in the blood of my son. I look at your heart surrendered to me. I look at your soul that dedicates itself to me, over and over in spite of every opportunity to walk away. 

I will see you succeed in all that you do. You will not be able to help it. I will bless the work of your hands every day. I will lift you up as a beacon of all I can do in the life of my child. 

I love you now and forever my child. I am in your corner, on your side, and pre biased to find you perfect.

The future...

My prayer:

SO many dreams God. So many plans. Did we really come so far to give it all up now? The verse about you not bringing this far to leave us, that this work you have begun in us, you will finish keeps running through my mind. 

But, maybe I don't understand what the true work is. I know what I have been hoping for and dreaming of but maybe your agenda is different. Even as I type this, I can hear you saying that I am what is important to you. The character and safety of your children is what matters to you. The things that I worry about are not even a blip on your radar because you know they are already taken care of. 

When it comes down to it, God I pray your will be done. Your will is what is most important. You know my thoughts and desires of my heart. And, if it is within in your will, I ask humbly for you to fulfill those desires. But, if it is not in your will for what ever reason or if the timing is still not right, then amen God. Not my will but your will be done.

What God Said Tonight:

I won't give you the answer you seek tonight but I will let you know that the answer is coming. I will not tell you the outcome tonight but I will tell you that the outcome is assured and your testimony will be great. 

I love you. You are what matters to me. I will bring about the future that is meant to be. Your best future. Your best path. 

You have trusted me with your present and you have trusted me with your future. I will not betray that trust. I will see you through. I love you now and forever and I will not let you down. I will not see you suffer. I will see you shine in my reflected glory.
