Look within...

 

My prayer:

Amazing Father. Thank you for today. Thank you for your help, your healing, and your restoration. I pray as we head into this week that you guide my steps, guard my tongue, and help me to be the person you intended me to be. 

What God Said Tonight:

You do not have to try to be someone you are not. To be my child, you only have to be who you are. To find the best you, the you I intended for you, you only have to look deep within you. 

You do not need to look at the world around you. You do not need to look for role models to emulate. You only have to look deep within you. Beyond the hurts and pain this world has caused for you, look to the child who looked up at me and said, 'Yeah, having Jesus in my heart sounds pretty cool. Let's do it.' That is who you are looking to reconnect with. 

But let me say, the experiences of your life are not wasted. They are not things that should be ignored. They are things that you can heal from with my help. And, when you have healed, the strength you gain and the strength you can share is nearly worth the pain the got you there. 

I love you sweet child. This is a time for looking in and letting me heal the path. I love you, yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

 

My prayer:

Another week where you showed you were bigger and better than any challenge thrown my way God. With you on my side, the deck is always stacked in my favor. Thank you. 

What God Said Tonight:

Quiet your mind, your soul, your spirit. This week is done and it is time to enter into the place of rest and restoration. Let my peace soothe you. Let my power strengthen you. Let my joy fill you. 

I have much planned for you and every minute of it is necessary. Every minute of it will restore you to more than you were before. I am with you and I love you, now and forever my child. 

Rest in my arms and do not let any worry invade your mind. Let the barriers of our sacred time keep those thoughts and worries from seeping in. Call out my name and let me fight your battle.

My prayer:

Awesome Father. Thank you for favor all day. Your blessings and favor make this life a LOT easier. Life still throws it challenges at me but you always work them out and I am so grateful. 

I pray that your will is done in my life. There is nothing better or greater that I could hope for than your will. LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

What God Said Tonight:

The path for my children is not always easy but it is always laid out in plain site and it always leads to a place of great blessing. 

I understand that it can be frightening. Sometimes I ask you to step where you cannot see the ground beneath you but I will always bless you and see you through. 

My path for you is not the only path. You have free will and can choose any path that you want. But my path will bring you the most joy, the greatest blessings, and the most fulfillment of every path you can consider. 

I love you my child. Stay on my path for you and you will not be sorry.

Loving others...

 

My prayer:

Sweet Father. Everywhere I turn you are speaking on message to me. Love others.  I hear you. I will do all that I can. Help me to do better.

What God Said Tonight:

Loving others does not always come easily but it is in our nature. It is in your heart and soul as I am in your heart and soul. 

Loving others only requires that you look within you and find the love I have for you. You know that love is not earned and is more than you could feel you "deserve." That is the love you give to others. More than what they think they deserve. 

Love is not about deserving. Love is about healing, encouraging, and making people whole. Love is the thing that makes every past hurt and scar heal. Love well my child, as you are loved.

The path to love...

 

My prayer:

Awesome Father. Thank for a week that was hard but rewarding. Thank you for making a way through every challenge. Thank you for showing me light at the end of the tunnel. I pray that you help me to use this time to help others in the future, or even right now. 

I love you. I trust you. I am all yours.

What God Said Tonight:

You found the path to love. In the middle of every challenge, you found the path of love. That is all I need you to do. It is in that love that every other blessing is born. For you and for those around you. 

I love you. That love is the base, the core of all other love in you and from you. Keep that coal, that core present and in front of your eyes and you will have all you need for any challenge.  

I love you now and forever.

My prayer:

Sweet and awesome Father. Thank you for all that you are teaching me. Thank you for reminding me to love first. That simple instruction has brought me through so many challenges this week. 

You are amazing and I am ridiculously grateful for you.

What God Said Tonight:

Do you ever wonder what life will be like when everything is made whole? I know that you do, sometimes, but that thinking needs to be a part of your everyday imagining. 

The time is not far off and I want those thoughts, those imaginings to help sustain you in the less than perfect times where brokenness seems to rule. I want you to remember that your destiny is to live a life of wholeness in a world that is whole. 

The truth of that time and that existence is truly beyond your imaginings, but start to imagine it anyway. You can think of it as a game. But start thinking, regularly, about how amazing that life will be. I will join you and help you with it. It can be our time.

Meaning of life...

 

My prayer:

Sweet Father, I know I say this a lot but I am going to need your help tomorrow. I am going to need your help tonight. God, I am so grateful for the healing you are doing in me. I am grateful at how you are teaching me about listening to you and what you think of me more than the people around me. 

It is a hard lesson for me. 

I need your help to maintain the peace you have given me today. I need your help to live in a place of assurance of who I am in you. Thank you God for your help. 

What God Said Tonight:

Your life. Your time on this earth, is really about two things. Learning how to love me with all that you have got and learning how to love others. That is it. 

There are a million ways to do it. That's where the fun and creativity comes in. But that is it. 

If everything you are doing is pursuing one or both of those goals, you are in the right frame of mind. Focus on that, tonight, tomorrow. That is where you need to keep your thoughts. 

I love you my child. Live in that love.

Amazing Father. Thank you for bringing me through this week. I am exhausted but we made it through. I am ready for that restoration that only you can bring. 

What God Said Tonight:

I have more for you. I will restore you. I will see you whole. I will also see you blessed beyond measure. 

Do not let your dreams and your vision stop at what you have already experienced in life. With me, I can bring you to new heights and new joy that you have not even imagined. Dream with me. See a future through my eyes and with my vision. Then you may truly live. 

I love you sweet daughter rest and prepare for more.

God's path...

 

My prayer:

I am amazed at your favor God. It makes life so much easier. Thank you for paving the way and showing me the way through situations. Thank you for softening other people's hearts towards me. Thank you for always making me succeed. You are amazing.

What God Said Tonight:

A walk, when you are on my path, is always going to leave you breathless. 

You may be in awe of what you see along the way or you may be in awe of making the climb but it will always amaze you. Walking in my path for your life you will see things you could not see otherwise. You will experience things you would not experience otherwise. And, you will succeed in things that you could not succeed in otherwise. 

There is not better place in the world than being in the middle of my path for you life. Follow your nose, follow your heart and find your way on my path.

Building faith and trust...

 

My prayer:

You were pretty amazing today God. Thank you for helping me through every challenge. Thank you for giving me favor with those around me. Thank you for showing me the way forward. I am so grateful for you. Every good thing in me is because of you.

What God Said Tonight:

I will help you to succeed, I have promised you that. But days like today are more about you practicing trusting in me. Practicing leaning on me. 

Your faith, your trust, is like a muscle in that the more you work it, the more you practice it, the stronger it becomes. The stronger your faith, the better your life. I want the very best for you and much of it comes through your faith. 

I love you daughter. Every experience and every challenge is nothing more than another chance to build your faith and trust. 

Restoration...

 

My prayer:

Thank you God for a wonderful day of rest. I certainly needed it and you just made sure that everything was calm and taken care of. Not a single crisis or worry all day. That it is a bit of a miracle these days. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

What God Said Tonight:

Today was as much about restoration as it was rest. These things are not necessarily the same. 

I came to restore you. I came to make you whole. 

Rest is something that is good for a moment but you will always need more. Restoration makes you whole and well so you can move forward. 

I have a season of restoration that is just beginning for you. You will see holes and areas of neglect that you did not even realize were there, being restored and made whole. 

I want so much for you my child I love you now and forever.

A rotten season...

 

My prayer:

Awesome God. I seem to be in a season that is not a lot of fun right now. It seems like so many things are going wrong. Every time I turn around, something weird and new to deal with. It is exhausting. 

I am certain that this is one of those seasons where you are going to really show up and take care of it all, which is wonderful. It is just this time period of waiting. This period where I don't know where the next hit is coming from. This is definitely not my favorite.

What God Said Tonight:

A season is just that, a season. It is not forever. The one thing you can always count on is that a season will end and a new season will come. 

This season, is not as bad as it seems to you right now. There is much joy and peace in this season, but it is hard for you to see. There is cause for celebration in this season, but you are blinded to it. Even in the worst of seasons, there is always more to it than you can see and know. 

One thing you must always remember, I am with you in every season and I will bring you through it. 

Go and rest tonight. I have you covered. 

Rely on God...

 

My prayer:

Awesome Father. It is back to work tomorrow. I pray for your help, your strength, your guidance, and your favor. In some ways, I am ready. I am ready to feel productive again. But I also worry that I am not ready physically or mentally. I pray that you cover my deficits.

What God Said Tonight:

If you rely on your strengths and abilities, you will always eventually fail. If you rely on me and my abilities, you must always eventually win. 

Lean on me, trust in me, and see the success continue to roll in. 

You have very little time to be concerned about it. There is a future greater than you can imagine. There are things for you to do in that future that make tomorrow very insignificant. 

I am here with you and I will guide you, always.

Come and sit...

 

My prayer:

Awesome God. This new year snuck up on me. Usually, I would spend some time at the end of the year to reflect on all that has passed and look out to what the next year might provide. I haven't really done that yet.

When I think about it, 2021 was a pretty eventful year for me. You brought me opportunity after opportunity and you blessed me like crazy. There were a fair amount of challenges mixed in, especially toward the end of the year but all in all, I can't complain. 

You are amazing and living life with you is better than anything else. Thank you Father.

What God Said Tonight:

Come, sit with me in the light and warmth of my Holy Spirit fire. Let's just sit a moment, not looking back, not looking forward, but just being together and knowing whatever comes next, we will be in it together. 

That is where your hope comes from. That is what allows you to just be in my presence with no worry and no fear. Sit with me and let me hold you close.
