Restoration...

My prayer

You, as you always do, showed up and took care of everything. Thank you so much. You are the great peace maker. I don't think it is all over but today was a good step. 

You are so amazing and wonderful and very, very good to me. Thank you is not enough, but it is what I have. Thank you thank you thank you!

What God Said Tonight

Lay your head on my shoulder and rest tonight my child. 

You have done all you need to do. You have faced every demon. You have trusted in me. You have endured. 

Now, come and rest on me. Let me renew your strength. Let me comfort your spirit. 

Tonight is for restoration. Tomorrow is for joy. I love you so very much.

The purpose in conflict...

My prayer:

Awesome God. I pray for your divine intervention, wisdom, and assistance with this situation that I am walking into tomorrow. I am not sure how to make it better and I do not want to obsess about it all night, since that does not good and would leave me exhausted tomorrow. 

I ask for your help and place it all in your hands. Help me to do, say, and be who I need to be tomorrow so that your will is done.

Thank you Jesus for giving me the ability to ask for your help.

What God Said Tonight:

A burden is on your heart and our mind. Discord makes you uncomfortable and you want to bring peace to the situation.. You get that from me. I am the God of peace. You know that you belong, that you are supposed to dwell in peace. 

Remember though that the peace that passes all understanding, my peace that is not reliant on circumstances, is yours, no matter what. You don't need to find resolution to the conflict to experience my peace. 

Sometimes, the conflict must remain, for a time. Sometimes there is purpose even in the conflict. 

Trust me to do what needs to be done tomorrow. Do not take on the responsibility for the outcome and know that the outcome of tomorrow is not the end of the story. 

I love you. I am with you. And, my will shall reign.

My prayer:

Awesome God. Circumstances were no better today but you gave me the peace and grace to get through it. Thank you so much.

I pray for a new outpouring of your love on this world God. We are messed up and hurting and need your healing love. Thank you Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

A blessing asked for in my name and in my will is done before it is even asked. 

I love you. I will bless you. 

My children are my joy and my love resides in them. Let the love shine daughter. Let it fill the world around you. If every one of my kids does that, imagine...

The opportunity of chaos...

My prayer:

Overwhelmed. Today was a bit too much God. I need your help to get the craziness back to a dull roar or increase my ability to deal with it. Today, the craziness of life won and I am left feeling defeated and exhausted. I ask for you help.

What God Said Tonight:

Everything is in its place, they are just moving right now. That is what feels so uncomfortable for you. It feels chaotic but I am a God of order. 

You have prayed over and over for my will to be done in every aspect of your life. I will not turn my back on you. 

What seems like chaos right now is nothing more than an opportunity to show off my glory. It is an opportunity to make you succeed. 

Breathe deep and know that I am God. I will set everything right in due time. In the meantime, you look at me, not the chaos. You keep your thoughts and your eyes on me and I will work it all out.

The core of God...

My prayer:

I love you God and I need you in every way. But you already know everything on my heart and mind. Tell me about you tonight?

What God Said Tonight:

What do you want to know? I am complex and more than you can imagine and yet I can be summed up in one word. I am love. 

The purpose and the core of all that I am, love. You won't find anything more at the core. I created you because I love you and wanted to be loved by you. I created earth to house our love. I sacrificed my life so we could be together and no longer separated by sin. Every plan I have is because of love. 

It may seem too simple but it is true. Look at anything I have done, anything I have said and the root of it is love. Even my anger is the result of my love. You don't get angry about the things people you don't care about do. 

I love you. I am love. Abide in love and you abide in me.

Good and evil...

My prayer:

Today was pretty perfect God. Thank you for every minute of it. The beauty of this world was so apparent today or maybe I was just more aware of it. 

So often, I can get discouraged by the ugliness going on, but today was different. Today the ugliness faded away and all that was left was joy, peace, and beauty.

I know every day can't be like this but thank you for giving me at least one day of it. You are truly wonderful God.

What God Said Tonight:

Every day has the beauty that you saw today. Sometimes you don't see it but it is still there. 

The trick is to spend at least part of every day looking around you and truly seeing all that is there. You may look and see poverty but look more carefully and you will see compassion. You may look and see anger but look more closely and you may see love.

This world is still filled with good and evil. Don't let the evil blind you to the good.

Live well...

My prayer:

I am alive because of you. You created me, yes. But you also saved me.

Thank you for my life God. Thank you for giving me life and giving it back to me.

What God Said Tonight:

A life lived well is a life you never lose. A life lived well continues in the minds and hearts of all those who were touched by it. 

I love you and I love your life.
