Purpose...

My prayer:

I don't have anything new to talk about tonight God. I am still just reeling at the amount of choices that seem to be developing. Thank you for an abundance of opportunity. You are amazing!

What God Said Tonight:

Making a difference and helping people is part of your DNA. It is because you have my heart in you. Anytime that core of you is not being fed, is not having the opportunity to blossom, you will feel unfulfilled.

But be careful to look around you in every circumstance. There is always an opportunity to make a difference and to help people. No matter the poverty of your situation, there is always something to give. It is often true that the sacrifice in poverty has such greater depth of purpose than the generosity in extravagance. 

Your purpose is not defined by your circumstance but you can define your circumstances by your purpose.

My prayer:

I find myself changing and I don't know if that is a good thing or not. Things that I use to not enjoy, I enjoy now. Things I use to need, I don't need any longer. I really find myself going into a totally new phase of my life, of me. Who new this could happen at this point in my life?

All I ask God is for your guidance. If I get off on a wrong or unhealthy path, guide me back into your will for me.

What God Said Tonight:

This year has been about helping you to see multiple futures for your life. There is no one path for you. I want you to see and to know that you can choose and I will be with you in that choice. I have a plan and a future for your life but that plan is not thwarted by your choices. 

Imagine, explore, and choose what you want to try next. Not what you want to try forever but what you want to try next. 

I am with you. I will stay with you. We will ride into your future together and see what it brings. The adventure never stops if you don't want it to.

My prayer:

Thank you God for your guidance, protection, and peace. Sweet Father, I do not need anything more tonight than your presence, your voice. 

What God Said Tonight:

I am taking you on a flight tonight to see the world from a new perspective. 

There is a clarity in seeing things from so far above the earth. You are aware of the individual lives and the individual experiences but you also can see how it all fits together. One event in isolation cannot be understood. It is only when you see the fabric of reality from a great height do you begin to understand an event in the context that brings it meaning. 

Take the time to find a greater perspective and know that I am working all things for your good, I promise my sweet child.

Truth...

My prayer:

Awesome God. I pray for clarity of vision and for wisdom about what is happening around me. There has been so much deception and after awhile, I begin to question what is the truth. When an entire group of people consistently says "a" is "b", I find myself wondering, is it "b"?

In the midst of the lies, please help me to clearly recognize the truth.

What God Said Tonight:

Truth is and does not change. I am the truth. I am your true north. 

Lies change from day to day. One day they say one thing the next another where the truth remains solid and unmoving.

I am the truth, the way, and the life and I am the litmus test for all things true. 

My prayer:

Kind of a good news bad news day today God. Or, I guess bad news and worse news so count your blessings kind of day. But even through the disappointment, if I have learned anything this last year it is to trust you. So, I will keep on trusting. Love you!

What God Said Tonight:

Each day is a step forward and it is good. A step in the right direction, my will for your life, is always a good thing, even when it seems like it is a failure or a closed door. 

I did not close any doors today and until I close a door, that opportunity is still alive. Nothing was done today but to set up right timing. 

I love you now and forever and I will not let you down.

Rooted in love...

My prayer:

Amazing God. I pray that I made the best choices today. I thank you for your will in my life and I ask, whenever possible, that you let me in on what that will is, because I would love to help and at a minimum, I don't want to be an obstacle.

Living out your will in this life is really all that matters. When this is all done, that is all I really need to know that I have done. Help me to do it well.

What God Said Tonight:

My will is always rooted in love. There are many things that grow from that root of love. The branches reach out into the heavens. But the root is always love.

If you cannot trace back the root of what you are doing, or not doing, to love, than you are likely not in my will for your life. I simply will not do anything that is not rooted in love.

I love you and I will help you, always. You are my child and I will never leave you. I never intended you to live this life alone. I am forever here with you to help.

My prayer:

We are sliding into my favorite holiday God. A whole day set aside to be thankful. If I have not said it enough, I am thankful for you. More than anything or anyone else, I am thankful for you in my life God.

I am thankful for all that you have given me. Loving family, amazing friends, a warm home, love, and so much more. I am thankful for the peace that you give me. I am thankful for the guidance you give me. You are a generous God and I am thankful.

I love you sweet Father, loving brother Jesus, amazing Holy Spirit.

What God Said Tonight:

Receive my love as a warm hug that never ends. Receive my peace as a blanket that calms. Receive my joy as a celebration of light. 

You are my child and it is my great and divine pleasure to give to you. Receive all that I have for you. 

All of heaven rejoices in the joy of my children. I love you now and forever my child.
