What God builds in you...

My prayer:

Today was full of small blessings. Thank you God. Thank you for the amazing people and stories I got to be a part of today. Thank you for peace, rest, and purpose.

What God Said Tonight:

Man builds great and mighty structures, palaces, mansions, cities, and towers. But there is nothing that man builds that cannot be torn down and destroyed. Everything that man builds is temporary. What remains is what is built within man. The joy, the lessons, and the love built and grown within you cannot be torn down and will forever multiply. 

I love you. Stay focused on what I am building in you and be less concerned with what you are building in the world. I love you.

Peace in chaos...

My prayer:

Chaos. Life is chaos right now God. Lies and misdirection are so common they don't even surprise me any more. If it were not for you, my strong tower, my peace in the storm, I would have given up a long time ago. 

Take me where I need to go and show me what I need to do. My life is yours.

What God Said Tonight:

When you are in chaos, look for the peace and you will know you have found me. Where all else is in question and uncertain, look for peace and find me. 

Following my will in chaos is actually a bit easier. My peace is in such contrast to the chaos, it is easier to see. 

Seek my peace and I will guide you through the tornado of life. 

I love you. May my peace be with you now and forever.

Random events...

My prayer:

I feel hope. I feel change in the air. I feel opportunity. I pray that these are not just feelings and that we are truly on the beginning steps of a new season God. 

Above all, I pray your will is done, in your timing. I know better than to push my will ahead of yours.

What God Said Tonight:

Computer programs, to someone who does not know the language, look random and without purpose. The same is true of my will in your life at times. 

There are many random events, thoughts, and activities that do not make any sense until the outcome is seen. 

I love you. I am guiding you, even in this. I will see you victorious and in my glory.

On your worst day...

My prayer:

I don't even want to talk about today God. Some days just don't make any sense. I love you. I trust you. My life is yours.

What God Said Tonight:

In the storm, when the unthinkable happens, when you don't know what to do, breathe, pray, and trust me to bring you through. 

On your worst day, I am still God. On your best day, I am still God. I am your peace. I am your joy. And these, no one can take from you. 

I love you.

Bad news good news...

My prayer:

Today sure had its share of bad news God. I pray your protection, healing, and peace over those I love. For those who have suffered loss, I pray that you fill them. For those facing health struggles, I send your word of healing. Please God work in our lives turning all things for our good.

What God Said Tonight:

Take another look. Some suffered loss but they are not forsaken, they are not left without any hope or joy. There will be adjustment and grief but they will find fullness of life again. 

For those facing health struggles the battle has begun, it is not over. I have time yet to heal. 

For those who were injured, they will heal. the injury that could have ended them, did not happen. 

If you look at it this way, you see a day of good news, of hope, of chances for me to work in people's lives, helping them through. I will be there in every struggle and every challenge. I will never leave you on your own. I am yours and you are mine.

The answer...

My prayer:

Just about the time I think I have life figured out, something happens to show me that I do not even have a clue. Do we ever figure it out? Is there ever a time where everything makes sense. Or should I give up? Should I just accept that I will never understand this life or how to live it and just do all I can to follow your lead? 

Maybe that really is the answer. Stop trying to figure things out and focus unerringly on following your lead. That sounds easy but it isn't. Praying for your help God.

What God Said Tonight:

Answers are not within you and answers are not within the world. Your only answer is me. I am the beginning and the end. I am the Alpha and the Omega. Nothing exists except through me and by me. I am the source and the Lord of all. 

Who else would have your answers? You can not conceive of a world, a universe that you did not make and have not even seen. I can. I do. Leaning on me for the answers is not a cop out. It does not mean you have given up. It is the only logical approach to life. Why would you ask anyone but me?

I am the answer. I am your answer. And I love you more than anything. 

Love...

My prayer:

Thank you for today God. Nothing really went the way I planned but everything worked out in the end. Now, just some time to be with you and then get some rest. Sounds like heaven.

What God Said Tonight:

Love. Surround yourself in love. Love from the bottom, the core of you are. Love everyone, I mean everyone. 

These are truly perilous times and the key to surviving them is love. Treat each other with love. When you are running low, when love comes hard, come to me. I am love. I never run out. I can always give you more, especially when I know you will give it away. 

I love you now and forever. Surround yourself in love. Wrap it around you and keep throwing it out to those around you. Every single person needs it, more than you will ever know. One act of love and kindness will save many lives tonight.
