Random events...

My prayer:

I feel hope. I feel change in the air. I feel opportunity. I pray that these are not just feelings and that we are truly on the beginning steps of a new season God. 

Above all, I pray your will is done, in your timing. I know better than to push my will ahead of yours.

What God Said Tonight:

Computer programs, to someone who does not know the language, look random and without purpose. The same is true of my will in your life at times. 

There are many random events, thoughts, and activities that do not make any sense until the outcome is seen. 

I love you. I am guiding you, even in this. I will see you victorious and in my glory.

On your worst day...

My prayer:

I don't even want to talk about today God. Some days just don't make any sense. I love you. I trust you. My life is yours.

What God Said Tonight:

In the storm, when the unthinkable happens, when you don't know what to do, breathe, pray, and trust me to bring you through. 

On your worst day, I am still God. On your best day, I am still God. I am your peace. I am your joy. And these, no one can take from you. 

I love you.

Bad news good news...

My prayer:

Today sure had its share of bad news God. I pray your protection, healing, and peace over those I love. For those who have suffered loss, I pray that you fill them. For those facing health struggles, I send your word of healing. Please God work in our lives turning all things for our good.

What God Said Tonight:

Take another look. Some suffered loss but they are not forsaken, they are not left without any hope or joy. There will be adjustment and grief but they will find fullness of life again. 

For those facing health struggles the battle has begun, it is not over. I have time yet to heal. 

For those who were injured, they will heal. the injury that could have ended them, did not happen. 

If you look at it this way, you see a day of good news, of hope, of chances for me to work in people's lives, helping them through. I will be there in every struggle and every challenge. I will never leave you on your own. I am yours and you are mine.

The answer...

My prayer:

Just about the time I think I have life figured out, something happens to show me that I do not even have a clue. Do we ever figure it out? Is there ever a time where everything makes sense. Or should I give up? Should I just accept that I will never understand this life or how to live it and just do all I can to follow your lead? 

Maybe that really is the answer. Stop trying to figure things out and focus unerringly on following your lead. That sounds easy but it isn't. Praying for your help God.

What God Said Tonight:

Answers are not within you and answers are not within the world. Your only answer is me. I am the beginning and the end. I am the Alpha and the Omega. Nothing exists except through me and by me. I am the source and the Lord of all. 

Who else would have your answers? You can not conceive of a world, a universe that you did not make and have not even seen. I can. I do. Leaning on me for the answers is not a cop out. It does not mean you have given up. It is the only logical approach to life. Why would you ask anyone but me?

I am the answer. I am your answer. And I love you more than anything. 

Love...

My prayer:

Thank you for today God. Nothing really went the way I planned but everything worked out in the end. Now, just some time to be with you and then get some rest. Sounds like heaven.

What God Said Tonight:

Love. Surround yourself in love. Love from the bottom, the core of you are. Love everyone, I mean everyone. 

These are truly perilous times and the key to surviving them is love. Treat each other with love. When you are running low, when love comes hard, come to me. I am love. I never run out. I can always give you more, especially when I know you will give it away. 

I love you now and forever. Surround yourself in love. Wrap it around you and keep throwing it out to those around you. Every single person needs it, more than you will ever know. One act of love and kindness will save many lives tonight. 

How God sees you...

My prayer:

Today had a few too many challenges. I am worn out and grateful I get to spend some time with you God. Soaking up your presence, your grace, your glory. Refueling on your Holy Spirit. 

Thank you for being my source and my strength. My only shot at getting up and doing it all again tomorrow is by leaning on you. I love you so much.

What God Said Tonight:

You know the joy you feel when your child draws you a picture? It might not be the best picture, the trees might be crooked and the colors might not be right, but to you, it is a masterpiece. Not because of what it is but because of the love you have for the one who made it. 

That is how I see you and your life. Each day, at the end of the day, when you bring me the day's challenges, achievements, struggles, and joys, you lay those in my lap and I find them all so beautiful. Not because of what they are but because you brought them to me. They are the creations of your life and because I love you so much, I find them all to be masterpieces. 

Go now my beautiful artist. Rest up for there are more things to create tomorrow.

Seasons with purpose...

My prayer:

God, I love your presence. I know I tend to take it for granted but once in a while, something happens that reminds me how incredibly blessed I am to have your presence in my life. You will never leave me or forsake me, not because of who I am or what I have done but because of who you are. And that means everything to me. When the whole world has gone crazy, I still have you. I love you Daddy.

What God Said Tonight:

Seasons. I talk to you abut seasons all of the time but there is something you have not yet seen. I have seasons that are related to circumstances but I also have seasons in your life that change based on who you are at that time. There are some seasons that are made to match where you are at in life. 

Sometimes, things need to slow down because you need to slow down. Sometimes, opportunities dry up because they are not right for you. 

Remember your trust in me. Remember how I have never let you down. Remember that I have a plan and a purpose for your life. I will not give yup on you. And, this season is for a purpose. I love you, now and forever.
