Trusting God in the chaos...

My prayer:

Whoever first said, "The older I get the less I know" was SO RIGHT!!! I don't know much God but I know enough to rely on you. In this crazy, constantly changing season, I am SO GRATEFUL that I have you to lean on. I would never make it without you.

What God Said Tonight:

Just breathe. I know it is a lot to take in right now but I have prepared you for this. 

Nothing, I mean nothing that is happening right now is a surprise for me. I knew from the beginning of time that this day, this moment, in all of the seemingly craziness, was going to happen at this time. 

I have a purpose and a plan even for this. I have not been caught unaware and I am not scrambling for the next steps. I am in control and I will see this entire, and I mean entire situation work for your good. I am on your side and I have great plans for you. 

Learning to trust me completely in the chaos is important for now and even more important for the future. 

I love you and I have got this.

Getting through it...

My prayer:

God, I pray for new perspective. I need to find the hope and the joy again. Right now, the only thing I am really looking forward to is eternity with you. Everything in between seems like unnecessary drudgery.

If this is part of the battle you talked about, help me to fight it. If this is just me looking at the wrong things, help me to see the right things. Whatever this is God, I ask for your help to get through it.

What God Said Tonight:

I am sending you love in waves tonight. Receive my love.. Let it wash over you. Let it wash away the pain and scars. Let it fill you with my light. 

I am with you. I have never left you. I will never leave you. 

You say that what you look forward to is eternity with me. Well that eternity has already started. You and me together forever my love. 

When it all gets too much this week, take a minute, close your eyes, and remember this shower of love. Remember you have me in your corner. Take just a minute to reach up and touch me. Let my love, my strength, my power, get you through.

A coming battle...

My prayer:

Thanks for the rest day God. It was good to not have to deal with much of anything.

What God Said Tonight:

I walk where you will follow and I will be your guide. I am bringing together great forces for the next season. 

A battle is upon us and is coming so very soon. We win the battle but the fighting will be fierce. those who do not know me will literally die from fear. 

I have sheltered you and raised you. I have taught you and I have strengthened you. Have you not wondered why? You are needed in this battle. All that you have learned is needed in this battle. Most of all, you will need to follow my lead. There is safety in my wake. There is great peril outside of it. 

I love you. You are prepared.

Every last thing...

My prayer:

All things are relative but I did not find a lot of joy in this day. I don't mean to complain, but I guess I am. Life is such a roller coaster right now. One day everything is looking up and the next day I am slammed back down.

I know that I need to keep my eyes on you and not pay attention to the circumstances. I know it but I am not doing a very good job of doing it these days. I will try harder.

What God Said Tonight:

Every day, every blessing, every challenge, and even every curse means very little on its own. The value, the meaning and the purpose come from understanding what is behind each event. 

There is a purpose and a plan on your life. I will use every last thing in your life to accomplish the plans I have for you. Do not waste time and energy being angry at the difficulties. They are there so I can use them for your good. Don't waste time chasing blessings. They will be there when I can use them for your good. 

Let go of your instinct to control. Trust me. Don't let any one thing get you down. I am yours, now and forever and I love you.

Healing love...

My prayer:

Work is kind of beating me up this week God. I am exhausted and just kind of done. Can we talk about something completely unrelated to work tonight? Tell me something wonderful that happened today? Something to pull me out of this funk.

What God Said Tonight:

I can list of millions of miracles today, but you already know that I am alive and active. 

What I want you to know is that just because you had a bad day, it does not mean that I love you less. Just because you say something you are sorry for or even think something you wish you hadn't, it does not change my love for you. You cannot out run my love. 

I love you, now and forever, no matter what. It is a fact. It cannot be changed. It is a vital tenet of reality. 

Rest in my love. Receive my love. Let love heal what the world stripped off of you today.

Lasting peace and joy...

My prayer:

Today was different. I actually had a whole day to catch up. I can't remember the last time that happened. 

Thank you God for favor and for the space and time to get caught up. What a gift!

What God Said Tonight:

Everything in its time and in its place. Learn the rhythms of my will and my way and you will flow through life with no stress and no worry. 

A life free of worry is not a life free of problems and challenges. A life free of worry is a life where you are so in tune with me, my will, my rhythms, and you trust me in all things. That is what a worry free life looks like. That is what it is built on. 

Stop chasing a perfect life and start seeking my flow. I promise, you will be much happier in the long run. No blessing given has the lasting peace and joy that living in my will provides.

Waiting with God...

My prayer:

Seeking you God. Seeking your wisdom and direction. I am willing to do whatever you ask, however you want me to do it. Guide me. Make it plain to me.

What God Said Tonight:

See the people. See the millions and millions of people, waiting, looking, seeking. The world waits in breathless anticipation for one thing. My return. 

Look up and wait. See me. Know that I will not wait a moment longer than is necessary. I long to return to you. I long to hold you in my arms. 

I love the relationship we have but one day, it will be more. One day, we will dwell in each other for eternity.
