Dodging "bullets"...

My prayer:

Awesome Father. Thank you for your help all day long.

Sometimes getting through the day feels like being on a police training course. Today it felt like people kept taking shots at me and I had to dodge and then know whether to shoot back, deflect or avoid.

It was pretty exhausting but in the end, me and everyone around me came out whole with no bullet wounds. That is a victory. Thank you for your victory in my life God.

What God Said Tonight:

Don't forget, part of you loves the face paced life. You know that when things are too slow for too long, you get bored and want to move on.

Trust me to show the direction and timing to dodge. Trust me to give you the response. Know that I am with you and helping you no matter what the circumstance, and then, you can rejoice in all things.

I love you daughter. We have not yet begun to fight.

Grace...

My prayer:

Awesome God. I pray that the grace and mercy you have put in me become more evident in how I think about and treat others. Help me to treat others with the same level of grace and mercy that you show me every day.

I am not very good at it on my own, that is for sure, but when I let you work through me, it is better for everyone. As I walk into this week, make me a blessing and not a curse to those around me. In the name of my savior who gives me grace, Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

You have weighed yourself down with things that you don't need to carry. I cover it all. All sin, all sickness. I do it all without guilt, without condemnation, without punishment.

When you walk in the gift that is freely given, you can give that same grace away. Finding the grace to show others is simply a matter of accepting the grace I have given you.

I hear your mind questioning the parable about the man whose debt was forgiven who then went out and collected a smaller debt from one who owed him. He did show the same grace and mercy to the one who owed him as he was shown by the one he owed.

Yes, that can happen. Don't do that.

Love you sweet daughter. Walk in the freedom I have given to you freely and watch it change you.

Miracle fire...

My prayer:

What a fabulously blessed day God. THANK YOU! I enjoyed every minute of it and I am excited about tomorrow. I love you God. I love having you in my life. I love what my life is with you in it.

What God Said Tonight:

Every miracle is a flame. With the proper care and fuel, it can burn for a very long time. Without fuel, without oxygen, it dwindles to nothing very quickly and you forget it was ever even there.

Feed the miracles in your life. When you see I have done the miraculous, talk about it, write it down, remember it. When you feed the miracle flame like this, it can last and produce fire in your life for a long time.

Don't let the miracle fire go to waste.

Opportunity at the door...

My prayer:

You are so good to me God. You have blessed me in so many ways every day of my life.

I get complacent sometimes and forget all of the amazing things you have done for me. I get focused on the unfulfilled dreams instead of all of the dreams that have come true.

I hate that I do that. It does me no good and it does the people around me no good.

I ask for your help God. Help me to appreciate all that I have more than I desire the things I don't have. Thank you Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

Someone is outside of the door, waiting to come in. I tell you, someone is there waiting.

I have plans and the success of those plans relies on your reaction to the person at the door. I can't tell you more. There are things that you need to experience and go through in life that grow you into the person you are meant to be.

This is one of those moments where all that you are and all that you have learned will come together in how you react. And, that reaction will determine your future.

But, don't worry about it. Don't try to prepare for it. I have been preparing you all of your life. When this opportunity knocks, you will  not need it to knock a second time.

I love you and I am excited for you.

The wait...

My prayer:

Thank you for your patience and guidance today God. I needed every bit of it. With you I get to live and fight another day...woohoo! I love you. What is on your mind tonight God? I bet it is a lot more excited than my overworked brain.

What God Said Tonight:

Waiting is hard.. Waiting with anticipation is harder. Waiting with anticipation without getting frustrated is the hardest. 

Lean on me in the wait. It is easier when you know the ending. It is easier to wait when you are assured of the outcome. I know the outcome. I know that you win in the end, as a child of mine, you win. 

Each day has purpose. Each moment of waiting does prepare you for tomorrow. Trust that I know what I am doing. I won't let you down. 

I love you now and forever.

Relax, God is in charge...

My prayer:

God, I am all yours. Your will be done in ALL things. I surrender, all.

What God Said Tonight:

I am with you. I am here. I have not left you and I never will. I will guide you. I will speak to you. I will help you all the days of your life and beyond. 

 

My commitment to you cannot be broken by anyone except for you. I do not have a termination clause written into our covenant. 

 

My commitment to you is for eternity. Don't ever doubt my presence, my love or my desire to help you. I am with you in ALL things and I love more than you will ever know. 

 

Relax, trust, I am still in charge.

Alternate plan...

My prayer:

Another rough day that you brought me through. I may never understand how some people live each day without you in their lives. I would not make it five minutes without you.

Thank you for your love, your patience, your guidance and your peace. You are amazing and you mean everything to me. 

Before I say good bye to this day, I would love to hear your voice.

What God Said Tonight:

I have an alternate plan for you. We were headed in a direction, but there is a better plan, one that gets you there in a better way.
