Chains...

My prayer:

Wonderful Father. Thank you for hearing my many prayers today. Some were quick pleas for help. Some were focussed and intentional. Some were questions. Some were just checking in. 

I love that you are never more than a prayer away. Whenever I need you, whenever I want you, you are always right there. I think I take that for granted sometimes but I want you to know how much I appreciate it. 

You are my lifeline, my reason that I can get through each day. You are my hope, my joy, my Lord and I love you!

What God Said Tonight:

Chains that held you down today will be broken tomorrow. Things that are holding you back are being broken off of you. We are walking into an amazing future together and you will walk into it free. 

I am your Lord, I am your hope. I am also your future. I am in you and you are in me, now and forever. We make a good team! 

God is on your side...

My prayer:

No words tonight really God but I come with a grateful heart and an open ear...

What God Said Tonight:

That is something I can work with my daughter. Grateful and willing hearts, open ears, that is an awfully good start. 

I love you, now and forever. I am completely on your side. No matter the situation, no matter who is against you, I am always on your side. I am loyal to you. I will never be against you. No matter what you do or where you go, I am always on your side. 

God of miracles...

My prayer:

Wow God. 90 minutes of sleep last night and somehow you got me through a full day of work in one piece! Now that is a miracle! 

Thank you God for the everyday miracles. I love the big flashy miracles, don't get me wrong. But tonight I want to say thank you for the sweet everyday miracles that sometimes go unnoticed. Thank you for protecting me in a world that is so crazy dangerous. Thank you for giving me the strength and stamina to face every challenge that today threw at me. Thank you for the extension on the move out deadline for my friends. Thank you for being with me all day God. And, thank you for meeting me here tonight.

I love you and can't wait for the miracle of hearing your voice...

What God Said Tonight:

Your life is a miracle. Your salvation is a miracle. Your love is a miracle. Truly, with all of the odds against you in this life, just breathing one more breath is a miracle. 

But, I am the God of miracles. They are how I move. I don't need you to conger up a miracle from me. I just need you to believe and to wait. Your miracles are all on the way. 

There really are no big miracles or small miracles. Every miracle is  big to someone. I love you daughter. Get some rest.

God's 'nevers'...

My prayer:

Awesome God, I really hope I am on the right path. I really hope I am hearing you clearly. I don't want to risk losing what we have but if there are higher levels of relationship and intimacy for us, I don't want to miss that either. 

Give me the courage and the discernment to know what to do. You may have to tell me a few times because I lose my courage off and on and start to sink. Take my hand and guide me through this, every step.

What God Said Tonight:

Turn down the static of life and hear me clearly. I will NEVER not love you. I will never stop loving you. I will never let you spend one moment separate from me. I am yours and you are mine forever. 

We are on a new journey and it will take you to new levels of love, new levels of intimacy with me, new levels of power in my Holy Spirit. It is worth it. 

I cannot and will not ever be taken from you. Walk with me in this hand in hand.

Deeply rooted hurt...

My prayer:

Thank you God for today. Thank you for tonight. Thank you for your promises. Thank you for your healing in me. I don't know how you are going to do it or what I will be like when it is done, but I trust you and know that it will all be worth it and that I will be a better person with more strength, joy, peace and love in my life when it is done. 

God, I agree to follow you on this journey, wherever it takes us. 

What God Said Tonight:

I promise I will be gentle on this one. It is a deeply rooted hurt, it will take some time to heal, but I promise I will be gentle. There will be many "aha" moments throughout. I will ease you into each new level of healing. 

It has already begun. You have been on this path of healing for years. You were just not ready to face it head on until now. Now, we can make some real progress. Now that you are looking at the issue with eyes wide open, we can start to see the truly miraculous done in your heart and in you. 

I have waited a long time for this for you and I am very excited that we are here. You are going to love the joy, the freedom and the strength on the other side of this. You are going to love the love on the other side of this. 

I am with you, now and forever, always by your side and I will never leave you . When you get scared, turn to me and I will protect you.

Hearing God's voice...

My prayer:

Friday night and our Sabbath begins. I love the Sabbath with you God. I love having a day to do nothing but enjoy you and the life you have given me. I understand the immense luxury and privilege in having a Sabbath. Thank you for teaching me about its value, thank you for spending it with me, thank you for the rest that only you can provide that restores.

What God Said Tonight:

My voice is never silent. Your ability to hear me changes but my voice is always there for you. I will guide you always. I will never leave you. These are iron clad promises that I will never, ever, turn my back on. 

I am completely committed to you. When you have those times when you don't hear me. When you talk to people who are having those times, the key is to find more ways to listen. The key is to get quiet in a very noisy world so you can hear me. The key is to literally wrap yourself in my Word so that my voice is common to you. 

You are my children and you are saved and I will never withhold from you. I promise. Keep listening and you will hear my voice, in the still small moments of your life. In the challenges and in the joy. I am here and I am speaking.

Obligation vs. responsibility...

My prayer:

Too tired to think but never too tired to listen. What i son our mind tonight God?

What God Said Tonight:

I never meant to be an obligation to you but I am a responsibility. Having a relationship takes commitment and responsibility. What it does not take is guilt, condemnation, and obligation. 

I am your Father and your saviour. I am everything you need when you need it. I am not a burden. I never meant for a relationship with me to be a burden. If you feel burdened, if you feel guilt, if you feel obligation toward me, that is not from me or of me. If you feel joy, awe, and intense gratefulness for me in your life, that is of me. 

I love you. Go rest. I will provide as always. I will love you like always. I will be everything you need as always, because I love you and I have a responsibility to you. Not because I feel an obligation or guilt toward you. Ours is a relationship of love, grace, mercy and peace.
