Success...

My prayer:

Success can be defined by so many different things. The money we make, awards we win, promotions we receive or the love of someone we respect. Sometimes success is just making it through the day. 

God, how do you view success? I know that you still love us when we fail but how do you define success? When can we know that we have made you proud?

What God Said Tonight:

I don't think much about success. Knowing that I will win it all in the right timing, I don't worry too much about the day to day success or failure. 

You are my success. You are my princess and priest. You (my kids) and your success keep me busy enough. 

Success itself is not a bad thing. But so often, success breeds the desire for more success until the point comes that you are chasing after success so much, you lose sight of me. 

Keep your focus on me and I will destine you to succeed. Keep your eyes on the success, you will probably see some good results for a period of time. However, there will come a day when strength fails you. Instead, keep focused on me and what I  am telling you to do and you will see great and sweeping miracles. 

Your success is my success and my success is yours.  I love you.

God's presence...

My prayer:

God, I crave your presence tonight. I crave you overwhelming, beyond beautiful, all powerful presence. Remind me God of your glory and your greatness. Let my heart be filled and my spirit surrounded by your presence and your power. Leave no doubt, no evil, no sickness and no confusion to stand in your presence. God, I love you. Overtake me tonight God.

What God Said Tonight:

Words, whether spoken or read are powerful. More powerful than most realize. I have given you power in your words. Think about the words you say and what they can create. Don't be careless with them. 

I am right here. I have never left. I am in you and I am with you forever. Mmmm, there you go, now you see me, hear me and feel me. I am with you. My presence is never more than a peaceful moment away. Rest in my presence and I will renew your strength. 

Life with God...

My prayer:

Speechless God. Today has left me speechless. Happy to listen though. Tell me something wonderful...Well everything you say is wonderful so that should be pretty easy. Love you!

What God Has Said Tonight:

I am yours and you are mine. I say that to you often but I want to remind you of it tonight. I have claimed you as my own. I have marked you as a child of the Living God. Your life is not some random series of events. Your life is a purposeful fulfillment of my will on earth through you. 

I have you carved in the palm of my hand. I adore you. I have set you apart for a purpose. You are special. 

That means your life may not look like the lives of people around you. That means that I expect things from you that you don't see me expecting from others. That may mean that you don't always get to do what you want. 

But that also means that your purpose will change the world. That also means that we will live together for eternity. That also means that you carry my favor with you wherever you go and whatever your do. That is the trade off. 

And fact is, you really can do whatever you want. But when you follow your will and not mine you end up in situations that I have to pull you out of. If you follow my will, you avoid the pit falls. 

I love you. You are mine and I am yours. 

Feelings vs. thoughts...

My prayer:

I am confused tonight God and I know that you are not the author of confusion. My feelings and my thoughts are not matching up. My feelings want me to go down a road that my mind knows is disaster. I am not sure that I will post this but if you have insight and help for me tonight, that would be really wonderful. 

I love you God and I need you now more than ever.

What God Said Tonight:

I have given you feelings and I have given you freedom. I would see you living above and not beneath. I would see you living in plenty and not in lack. 

I have arranged some things but they will take time. Find patience in the balance between your thoughts and your feelings. 

Now is not the time to act. Now is the time to wait on me. Now is the time to trust me. Now is the time to strengthen yourself for the next season. 

I am your peace, your rock, your salvation and your guide. I will never leave you. I will guide you through this and all things.

The answer in you...

My prayer:

I am not proud of my own thoughts tonight God. I don't want to be judgemental. I don't want to be selfish. I don't want to covet things that are not mine. But, I clearly am going to need your help. Help me please God. 

Fill me God with your grace and your love. Give me the mind of Christ. Help me to see these situations like you see them and not with my very limited human eyes.

What God Said Tonight:

To be judgemental, you have to be convinced you are right. To be covetous, you have to be looking at things that don't belong to you. To be selfish, you have to be looking to your own needs before anyone else's. 

The solution to each of these is to change what you are focusing on, what you are looking at. You stop being judgemental when stop looking at what others are doing and recognize that you are not always right. You stop coveting when you get your eyes off of things that are not yours and focus on all I have given you. You stop being selfish when you look to the needs of others first. 

You have the answers in you. I can remind you, I can help you to do it, but the answers to what you ask tonight are already in you. 

You have to choose to change your focus to get there. It is not easy but it is in you to do it. Together, we can do it.

My prayer:

Not in the mood to talk much tonight God but I am always in the mood to listen...

What God Said Tonight:

What fear is after you tonight my love? It is not real. Know that the fear is not real. The cause is an enemy who is trying to confuse you, not a danger that is imminent. 

I am your Shepherd and with me you do not need to fear any evil. I am your rock and your protection. No one and no thing can get through me to you. 

The enemy, your enemy plots and plans. He forms weapons. He looks for vulnerabilities. but I never let down my guard. I am never asleep on the job. I am your protector. 

Fear no evil. Fear not. Trust me and fear not. Rest in the peace and complete trust that I will take care of you and I will not let you down. 

Love bubbles...

My prayer:

Awesome God. I am thinking about how we hurt each other. The thing is, most of the time when I have gotten hurt, I have given the power to that person to hurt me. Not always. Especially as a child when I did not have the power to give. But as an adult, when I have been hurt, it has been because I have allowed that person to hurt me. I gave them the power. 

When I have found a way to forgive and love that person who hurt me (which I can only do through your grace and mercy working through me), they lose the power to hurt me. They may still try but there is something in that forgiveness and truly letting go that puts me out of their range. They can't reach me with their violence. I have seen it time and time again. 

Now I am watching it in the lives of people around me that I truly love. Right now, they are all still tearing each other up. So God, I pray your grace, forgiveness and love into their lives. Over power their ability to hurt each other. Put a love buffer around them to keep them safe. I believe you are working in their lives and have a plan. In the meantime, keep them safe with your love.

What God Said Tonight:

You are looking above, behind, and to the sides. Look forward. The future is ahead of you, no where else. 

I have so many things to show you. You will see great things and great change in you and in the people around you. 

I do have a plan and it is working out even better than what I initially thought. There have been a few interesting turns that were not really a part of the original plan but which will work out perfectly. You are going to be happier, more at peace and more in your mission than you could ever imagine possible. Get ready for the day that you look in awe around you and think, "how did I get here? This is awesome!"

The hurt, the struggle, the repositioning is all a part of the new plan. It is all working for your good. For the good of my children. I have a solitary goal, to be with my kids forever. I love you and your love bubbles are on the way.
