The long wait...

My prayer:

Thank you for listening to me all day. Now its my turn to listen to you...

What God Said Tonight:

The waiting is different for each person and each situation. 

There is the wait that goes by with no effort. You blink and the waiting is over. That exists but most people don't even notice it. 

The waiting that requires faith is the waiting that goes beyond your ability to understand it. The waiting that goes on so long that you lose the ability to imagine the outcome. That waiting is often the waiting before a big outpouring. The waiting before the miracle. The waiting that makes you want to run.

I know that waiting is difficult. I know that waiting requires more effort than if you tried to do the thing yourself. That waiting is the waiting that requires your complete trust in me. 

Do not cut that waiting short. Do not take over and force the waiting to end. 

There is blessing in the waiting if you look for it. There is purpose in the waiting that can outweigh the result of the waiting. 

When you wait in trust of me, you will find peace and strength in the waiting. It is the time to regroup and prepare for the next stage. 

I am in the waiting with you. You are not just waiting on me, you are waiting with me. I am with you now and forever. Let the waiting be our time to know each other better. 

I love you and I will never have you wait for no reason.

The time for light...

My prayer:

Awesome God. I am sorry the jet lag got to me last night and we did not get our time together but thank you for hearing my prayers this morning. What I am asking is bigger than anyone can do which is why I knew I had to bring it to you. 

You are the healing God and you can heal a continent. I met such amazing people in Africa and they are facing such insurmountable odds. Only you can really help and give them the lives that they deserve as your children.

Amazing Father, I leave them in your hands with all of my love.

What God Said Tonight:

Darkness will not last on this world for very much longer. The reign of darkness is nearly over. It has to run its course but now is the time for light. 

Now is the time for my Son and my sons and daughters to shine with the love I have placed in you. 

That love will light the world. That love will light the universe. That love will abolish the darkness. 

I love you sweet daughter. The time is come.

Impact multiplied...

My prayer:

What an amazing two weeks God! I truly do not have words to describe it or words to thank you for it. The people, the places, the animals, the adventures...all of it was beyond description. That you would bless me with something so incredible, it does not surprise me because you are the God who blesses me. You have promised to open the windows of heaven on my life and to do more than I could hope or even think of. You fulfilled those promises in spades! Thank you Jesus, I cannot wait to see what comes next.

What God Said Tonight:

I have nourished you and I have challenged you. I have prepared you and I have fulfilled you. The next step, the next layer takes all that I have done in your life and use it for an even greater purpose. 

Your impact is about to be multiplied. 

You will not have to promote yourself, I will promote you. You will not have to strive for success, I will make you succeed. You will not have to worry over the details, I will take care of them. 

Stay in peace, knowing that I have it all under control and you are on your divine path of purpose.

On adventure...

Hi faithful followers of What God Said Tonight! As promised, God is taking me on a great adventure. It means I likely won't be able to post for a couple of weeks but when I get back...I think I will have amazing stories to share!

In the meantime, be sure to use the search function on the blog. Type in just about anything you want to and see what God had to say about it over the last 8 years! Don't forget to talk to and listen to God yourself. It is amazing what He has to say when we take the time to really listen.

The road taken...

My prayer:

Awesome God. Thank you again for this amazing opportunity. We leave tomorrow. I pray your will be done in each and every moment. This trip is all yours. THANK YOU!

What God Said Tonight:

Tonight is a beginning. The path you walk will forever be changed because of where you are going next. The road not taken will not be a concern of yours moving forward. 

I have you. We are walking into a season of "yes" and it is truly amazing. It will leave you in awe. 

I love you. I am with you. Now and forever.

God's pride...

My prayer:

I don't really have anything to talk about tonight God but I love to listen. Speak to me?

What God Said Tonight:

It has been hardly a moment since I first found you. I created you. I knew you in your mother's womb, but it was not until I found you and you invited me into your heart that you could know me so I could really know you. 

It was just a breath in time and since then, I have loved every moment we have had together. You have grown and healed. You have become strong and then vulnerable. You have rebelled and you have submitted. 

I have more of a journey for you and me. I have an eternity for us. 

I take no pride in my glory but I take great pride in my children. You are mine and I am yours forever. Nothing will uproot us and nothing will bring us down. We will withstand every storm and we will be victorious. 

God is greater...

My prayer:

Two days and counting to the big trip! I can't wait to see what you are going to do. The possibilities are endless. I pray your will be done.

What God Said Tonight:

Be prepared. You will look out over my people and you will feel a love for them you have never known before. 

The need is great, but I am greater. The pain is real but so is my healing. 

I love you and you are perfectly positioned. No plans are needed. Lean on me.
