The History: A couple of years ago, I started journaling my prayers and God's responses to them. I told my friends about this, they were really interested. I told my Pastor about it and he said, how about sharing those on line. When I asked God, He said, my words are for you, but not just for you. And, here we are...I hope He speaks to you in these words.

I know you...

My prayer:

Amazing Father. My list of things to be thankful for continues to grow. Thank you for your blessings. Thank you for your healing. Thank you for new perspective. Thank you for new habits. Thank you for peace. Thank you for having me right here, right now, with these people and with you.

What God Said Tonight:

I know you. I know what you will do before you do it. I know your heart. I know your pain. I know your potential.

I know you. I formed you. I created you. I walked with you through every day of this life. I dried your tears and I laughed at your jokes.

I know you and I love you more than words can say. You are my precious child. You are a prince and a priest. You are mine and I am yours and nothing will ever change that. I love you forever.

Shattered glass...

My prayer:

I am not in the mood to talk tonight God but I am always in the mood to listen to you. What is on your mind?

What God Said Tonight:

Shattered glass is one of the few things in the world that can be completely destroyed and then melted down to become better than new.

No matter how broken you are, my blood, the blood of Jesus Christ, can melt down your pain and make it into something brand new and beautiful.

Let me recycle your pain into beauty. I love you.

Blind spots...

My prayer:

My thoughts are all over the place tonight God. In some ways, things, life, is more clear than ever and in other ways, I could not be more confused.

I pray that you continue to lead and guide me. Continue to show me what I need to know. Continue to let me know what to do and where to go.

I don't trust my own instincts or decisions right now. I need yours.

What God Said Tonight:

Sometimes, when a bright light is shined onto something, it can blind you at first. I have shone a bright light on parts of your life and it will help you see the full picture eventually. Right now, it has you seeing some blind spots. You can see that the answers are there but when you look directly at them, you have a blind spot.

That will go away. You will see what I have revealed. You will see the full picture. Give it some time and trust in me.

I love you.

Knowledge and truth...

My prayer:

There are defining moments in life that change everything. Most of the time, I don't realize the profundity of those moments until long after they are gone. But once in a while, it is obvious. I am changed. How I see life is changed. I know and understand things tonight that I did not know or understand a week ago.

Sweet teacher and Father. I am so grateful that you don't ever waste anything. Every thing, event, person, moment in my life, you use to teach me truth. You are a wonderful teacher. Thank you for the knowledge and understanding.

What God Said Tonight:

Knowledge grows exponentially like a crystal. One piece of knowledge and truth will immediately spring into many off shoots of knowledge and truth.

Be a seeker of knowledge and truth and see your life expand in ways you cannot imagine. No matter how much you know, I always have more to teach.

Life perspective...

My prayer:

I am a big ball of tired and grateful tonight God. You showed up and did your thing. Thank you for always taking everything, no matter how crudy, and turning it for our good. I see your glorious hand all over my life and the struggles of this week and I am grateful. I am also exhausted.

What God Said Tonight:

Life perspective sometimes comes out of the simple act of stepping outside of your routine into a new challenge. You never truly know what it is to walk in someone else's shoes until you strap them on and take a stroll.

I gift you with new perspective. See what life looks at from these shoes. I love you.

The blessing of the storm...

My prayer:

Ok God. A little improvement and a plan to move forward. That is a lot more than what I had yesterday.

Thank you for always working things out. We are not yet through the storm but I see a path out. I see an outcome that doesn't break my heart. Thank you awesome Father!

What God Said Tonight:

The growth, the green, the richness that comes after a storm is some of the most fertile and lush growth there is.

Don't forget to recognize the storm for the blessing it is. If you can see it that way, your life becomes much more filled with joy.

Withstand the storm...

My prayer:

Well, the last 48 hours have been unexpected to say the least. Emergency rooms, pain medications, frustration, and instead of relief, more pain.

God of all creation, Father, Savior, we need help. We need answers. We need healing. We need you. I continue to pray and lift up my mom. This pain must go. Regardless of the cause, it must go. It has robbed her of independence, of health, of joy. I only know one who comes to kill, steal and destroy. He is our enemy and he has no right to be in her or in her life.

I bind any evil, I bind the devil that is trying to harm her, in the name of Jesus Christ who gives me the authority to do so. I pray Holy Spirit that you completely fill her so there is no room for evil to return. I ask it all as your child, awesome God. Thank you!

What God Said Tonight:

The storm is raging but you are not lost. The rain is coming down in sheets but you are not alone. I am your cover and I am your hope.

Withstand the storm. Do not buckle. Do not waiver. I am with you. Cry out, but I am already here. Your prayers are not in vain. I have heard. I am working. I am sending the help.

You have seen how I have worked everything out so you could be where you need to be this week. Right down to the timing. I am in this. I will see you through. I will show you the answers and the revelation.

I am here.

Rest in your knowledge of who I am and what I do. Rest in your love for me and my love for you. Rest and know that I will make the way and show you the way, when it is time.
