Helping...

My prayer:

Awesome God. I am in kind of a weird mood tonight. Today was great. Tonight was odd. Feeling distrustful, out of sorts, just off. I think I need to stop focusing on how I feel, shut up and listen to you. God, let me hear your voice and clear up this funk.

What God Said Tonight:

You are my daughter and I keep you from harm. Sometimes that means keeping you from things you think you want to do. Not everything you want to do, even those things for which you have the best intentions, are necessary good and right for you to do. 

I need you to follow me. Sometimes when you are following me I am going to ask you to sit back and let me do my thing. That does not mean that I don't value you. That does not mean I don't love you. That only means that for that moment, what I need is for you to sit back and let me shine. 

It is true of others in your life. You feel like if you are not helping, then you are letting them down or that you are worth less. That is not true either. Sometimes the best way you can help someone is by stepping back and letting them figure it out. 

I love you. I love that you want to help. Helping sometimes does not look like what you think it does. I love you.

Battle field with God...

My prayer:

We made it God! A few bumps and bruises but we made it through this week. Thank you for all of your help. Thank you for putting me in the right place at the right time. 

My only request tonight is help with shutting my brain off a bit. I really want to relax and rest so I am ready for next week, but so far, my mind just keeps circling around and around and won't seem to stop. I pray for peace of mind tonight God.

What God Said Tonight:

I have made a space for you. Here in my place, with me. While you are here with me, no thing, no thought no enemy can get at you. You are safe, you are protected and you are mine. 

I have this space for you whenever you need it. I can throw the walls of protection around you and your mind with a single thought of a prayer. I know the world you are living in right now and I know the need for your protection. 

You are on a battle field and I am your ground cover and your medic. 

I love you sweet child. Rest in your spot tonight. There will be plenty more battles to fight tomorrow.

Wait on God...

My prayer:

The challenges of today almost beat me, but not quite. Thank you for your help. I am in that season again where if I look too far ahead, I will get completely overwhelmed. I have to focus on what is in front of me and trust that you will work out the bigger picture. Help me God to stay focused on that. When chaos is raining down on my life, it can be hard to remember that simple instruction. I love you and need you as much as I ever have.

What God Said Tonight:

Wait on me in the rush of life. It is going to be uncomfortable but it won't matter to us. We will weather the storm and fly. 

What can I do...

My prayer:

We MADE it God! Today was not easy, but with your help, we made it through and it seemed to all go well. 

I must sound like a broken record sometimes but, thank you. You are so good to me and you truly destine me to succeed. I am very grateful and wish I had new and better words to thank you with. Words really are not enough. 

What more can I do to let you know how much I appreciate you? What can I do for the God of all creation to let you know how much I love you?

What God Said Tonight:

You love me, you appreciate me through many ways, My most favorite is when you show love to "the least of these". When you show love to someone who can do nothing for you. When you show love to the unloveable. 

That is a greater blessing to me than all the money in the world. The way you treat others shows me your love. 

Remember when you interact with my children you are interacting with me. I am in them. See me in them and love them more than they deserve. That is what you can do.

Stop hiding...

My prayer:

Watching you take care of your children is a true privilege God. 

Thank you for supplying the needs of at least two friends who needed you so much yesterday and today. I love watching you work. I love your miracles, large and small. I love how time and time again, our faith in you is proven to be right. 

You are amazing and a wonderful Father!

What God Said Tonight:

Your watching from behind a wall, afraid of what will happen if you come out. The world is a frightening place but with me on your side, with me as your covering, you do not need to fear a single thing. 

Don't hide. Stop hiding.  The world can't get at you no matter where you are because I am protecting you. You might as well come out and experience all that I have for you.

Grow where you are planted...

My prayer:

Today was pretty wonderful. Thank you for every minute. Thank you for the insight and the time to rest. Thank you for the sunshine and the cooling breeze. Thank you for amazing people. Thank you for today.

We jump back into a crazy work week tomorrow where I will need your amazing favor to be successful. I ask for your favor. There are a lot of great opportunities this week and with you favor, I can't wait to see how it all comes out.

What God Said Tonight:

When you are working in the environment you were made for, amazing things happen. When you work outside of the environment you were made for, everything is a struggle. 

I have made you and I have made you to thrive. I have planted you in good ground where you can grow. That does not mean that I won't want to transplant you one day. That does not mean that you won't outgrow your current situation. I fully expect you to. But, while I have you here, grow, flourish and see what I can do.

My prayer:

Wow God! Today was a whirlwind of change! Exciting and exhausting. Very little of today turned out the way I thought it would but it all turned out ok. Thank you for your guidance. Thank you for your provision. Thank you for working out so many details to make today possible. I LOVE YOU!

What God Said Tonight:

The true blessing of today was your trust in me. The true blessing of today was to watch you seek so diligently for my voice and then to follow it.

I will bless you everyday of the rest of your life. It is much easier to bless you when you are listening and following me. 

I am like a good parent. What good parent rewards their child for doing something that will cause them harm? Neither can I reward you when you are doing something I know will harm you. However, I can lavish you with blessings when you are right there with me. 

I love you and I will find any excuse to bless you.
