Not doing much...

My prayer:
Awesome God. I sit here tonight and look at the day and I am disappointed in myself. Maybe it is just that "after outreach letdown" but I look at today and don't feel like I did much of anything important. 


There was nothing bad about today. Work was good. I got some things accomplished. I had a couple of good conversations. But nothing important. Nothing like seeing someone who has nothing get so excited to get some new clothes. Nothing like talking to a good friend and finding that we have been dreaming the same dream for you. Nothing like getting to pray with someone who just came back to you and is looking for your direction. Nothing important. 


So, did I miss opportunities? Or, am I looking at it all wrong? God forgive me for not making today count for much. I love you and I will do better tomorrow...or I will at least try to.


What God Said Tonight:
What did I ask you to do today that you didn't do. You know there was one thing. It scared you a little and you put it off. That is ok. It can wait until tomorrow. But until you do it, you will feel stuck. You will feel like you are not doing much. You will feel unsatisfied. 


That is the way it works. When you ask for my direction and my will in your life and you don't follow it, you will be stuck until you do. 


Don't be afraid of this next step, this next thing I am asking you to do. It is a good step. It is the right time. Step out and do it and all the rest of the doors that follow will be opened. 


Don't get stuck here any longer. We don't have time. Tomorrow. Do it tomorrow and let's get moving. I love you daughter. I understand why you delayed but now is time to move forward with no more delays. 

Firm foundation...

My prayer:
My God and Lord. I know it shouldn't surprise me any more but I continue to be amazed at how easily and wonderfully you put everything together when I stop trying to control everything and "make" stuff happen. 


You surprised me today God and it was AWESOME!! The outreach was great. Thank you for the provision and the ability to bless so many people with food, water and clothes. I went expecting it to be like any other outreach, but you had other plans. You had the answer to the problem I couldn't fix, waiting for me there at the outreach! Talk about divine appointments!! 


God the way you take care of everything is so beautiful. You are so beautiful. Your love is beautiful. Your plans are beautiful. You are so beautiful to me!!!


What God Said Tonight:
I am building a foundation of solid stone in your life and in your ministry right now. The rocks are still a bit rough but I will fit them together. The imperfections in the rocks will fit together perfectly and provide a base that cannot be shaken. 


I need to build on firm foundations these days. The time when everything that can be shaken will be shaken is upon us. When you are shaken, I need you to be standing on firm foundation. I will build a beautiful ministry/home on that foundation, but it is important to have the foundation strong, firm, and unmoving first. 


Continue to trust me daughter. There is more to come. Things may not go the way you expect them to but it will all be perfect and you will recognize my work and my plan in every move and every stone. 


You are precious to me and I love you. Rest well my sweet.

Farming for God...

My prayer:
God, I am struck by my own inadequacy tonight. I am reminded that I can't save anyone. I am reminded that as much as I want to, I cannot convince anyone of your love for them. I am reminded that I often don't know the answers to my own questions, let alone anyone else's. How do you survive the pain of a divorce? What do you do when you are convinced that no one ever can or will love you? Where do you find hope when all hope is gone? 


All I can do is point them to you. Point them to you who has all of the answers. Point them to you who loves them more than they can ever understand. And when they tell me the reasons why they can't or won't, I need to point to you again. 


God, make me as relentless as you are. Help me to never give up pointing people back to you. Help me to find fresh ways to point them back to you. Help me to remember that it is not up to me to convince anyone but it is up to me to point them in the right direction to seek you, relentlessly. 


I am all yours God. Thank you so much for showing me your love everyday. Thank you for your power in my life. Thank you for providing for me. Thank you for showing yourself as so real and present every day of my life. Thank you for talking to me. Thank you for listening to me. Thank you God for being in a relationship with me that will last throughout eternity. I love you so very much.


What God Said Tonight:
You are my farmer. You plant, you water, you harvest, but I am the one that makes it grow. I am the purpose and the power behind the growth. You need to plant, you need to water, and you need to harvest but when it comes down to it, I am responsible for the results. If the plant grows or not, that is my responsibility. 


You may learn more effective ways to plant and to water. As you do, you will become a more effective farmer and that is good. But never forget that I am responsible for the growth. The growth is something between me and the plant. 


I have made many promises to you and have you seen me fulfill each and everyone in your life? You know that I have. You also know that what I do for you I will do for everyone of my children. I don't play favorites. You know these things, don't let anyone talk you out of it. Don't let anyone's struggle make you doubt the truth you know. Keep planting and watering and I will grow them at the rate that is best for them and for the kingdom. 


You have seen the streets of Israel in the sunshine and in the rain, even in the snow. You have touched the stones that I have touched. You have seen me do great things in your life and in others. Those are all experiences that help you to trust me and to be in relationship with me. However those experiences on their own are not enough. Those experiences without my power working in your life would have meant nothing to you. It is my power and my presence that makes growth possible. 


You farm and do your best and I will infuse them with my power and Spirit. We will have an army like none before.

Rivers of light...

My prayer:
My great teacher and provider. God you are so perfect. We are so imperfect but you are so perfect. We get things wrong more times than not, but you always get it right. 


God, I am just sitting in your presence tonight. It is hard to type. There are no words really for this. Your presence is beyond description. When people ask how I can believe in a God I don't see, this, tonight is the answer; but, it is so indescribable, it isn't an answer that would make sense to them. 


God I pray that your presence be felt throughout the world tonight. I pray God that every person who has ever doubted or been unsure of you and who you are, have a personal experience of your presence tonight. Let your presence blanket us tonight God. I bathe in your presence tonight God. Thank you so much for this gift of time with you. 


What God Said Tonight:
I am here for a purpose tonight. My anointing and presence is here for a purpose and a plan. It is time to cover to respond to every prayer request you have been making. Every prayer of healing, every prayer of provision, every prayer for guidance, I am here, now to respond and to make certain that every last one is addressed. 


I am always with you but know that when you sense my presence and my power like you do tonight, that is because I have some work to do. I am going out through the channel to heaven that your prayers created and I am taking care of each one right now. Can you picture it. See the rivers of light that are coming from heaven and reaching out around the world. Do you see? Those rivers can flow because people like you pray. 


There is a purpose in prayer. Yes, it is a time for us to know each other and better understand each other. It is also a time where you, my sons and daughters, have an an opportunity to intercede for others. When you pray those prayers, it opens an avenue for me to work in the situation. Don't underestimate your role in prayer. Don't underestimate the power. 


I hear every single prayer of yours. I am always listening to hear your voice. I know you don't always see the change immediately. Sometimes I need you to use your faith and grow your faith. Other times, the timing is just wrong. There are other things that may need to happen first. 


Trust me to know the best and most beneficial answer to every prayer. Know that I listen to each one personally. Know that I sit in anticipation waiting to hear your next prayer. I love you daughter. Keep praying.

Control...

My prayer:

King of all kings, Lord of all lords, God, my God. You are so incredible. I continue to be amazed at how, when I get out of the way, you work everything out so beautifully. When I stop trying to take control and let you do what you want to do, everything is so easy and it works out so beautifully, and people's lives are truly changed. 

Why is it so hard for me to learn that I not only don't need to be in control of everything but that me trying to be in control makes everything worse. It is when I surrender control to you that everything works out. 

That seems like a lesson that I am continually learning God. It seems like a daily lesson, a daily choice. Each day, and sometimes each minute, I have to decide that you know what you are doing and surrender to your control. 

My God, I choose to surrender to you. I love you God. Thank you for always having the right plan.

What God Said Tonight:

You are a walking miracle. You are a walking testimony of my power on this earth. 

Your surrender opens the door to my power. Your surrender opens the possibilities for miracles. As long as you keep control, you can only do and accomplish what you can do and accomplish as a human being. When you surrender that control to me, now we can do anything. 

I have no limit to what I can do. I have no limit for what I will do for you. Releasing your control to me makes the impossible possible. Every time you try to take control back, you limit the possibilities. Leave the control in my hands and you will witness the impossible before your very eyes on a regular basis. 

God's road map...

My prayer:
Mighty and amazing God. I am so grateful tonight for the people you have put in my life. I am so grateful that you taught me how important relationships are. I am so grateful that you didn't let me stay in that comfortable but very lonely cave that I lived in for so many years! 


I am consistently blown away by how much better, richer, fuller my life is now that you taught me how to value people and relationships. It is a completely different life. It is a completely better life. 


There are times in life when things feel so "right" that I say, "Yes, THIS is what I was made for." Tonight was one of those nights. I have had a complete sense of deja vu all night God. Does that mean I am on track with your will? It sure feels like it. 


Thank you for the reminder tonight of what is important and what I was made to do. I LOVE YOU!!!


What God Said Tonight:
I loved tonight too. I love when you are walking in your purpose. I love when you are connecting with people and with me. I love when you recognize what you were made for. I love to see you happy. I celebrate with you. 


This life of yours is meant to be full of joy. It is meant to be full of moments when you know that you know that you are doing and being and experiencing my perfect will in your life. It is possible to live your life in my perfect will. It is possible to follow my will for your life. 


It won't always be easy. You may have setbacks...ok, you will have set backs, but if you keep at it, you can live with all the promises I have for you. It really is not that complicated. 


Love me and love your neighbor as yourself. You know that one. Seek me and you will find me. You know that one too. Study my word and you will have every answer to every situation you run into and you will have the road map for your life. 


I love you and I want my perfect will for your life. I have planned such GOOD things for you. I get excited just thinking about your future. 


I love you daughter. Stay rooted in my will. You will grow.

Blessing, favor, success...

My prayer:
Amazing God, thank you for sleep and rest last night!!! YOU ARE PHENOMENAL!!! 


I was thinking about Joseph tonight God. I was thinking about how you prospered him wherever he was. I also realized that he never made it out of Egypt. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, he never returned to Israel except to briefly to bury his father. 


Why didn't he return? Was it because he was so high in leadership in Egypt that he didn't want to leave? Or, was it that you weren't ready for the Israelites to leave Egypt yet and you had put Joseph in leadership to help his people? 


Sometimes I feel a lot like Joseph and so I wonder about this stuff. How did he feel about staying? The Bible doesn't really talk about that. Anyway, just questions going through my mind tonight. 


I love you God and I want to hear what is on your mind. 


What God Said Tonight:
You will have to ask Joseph some day how he felt about it all. I am not sure that you will get a completely unbiased answer since he will be looking at it from the end. He will be seeing it through the eyes of a man redeemed with complete understanding of my will. He might sugar coat it a bit because of that. 


But, Joseph was a man and, like any man, he struggled. He struggled with the things that he had to go through. He struggled with my plan for his life. He struggled with feeling angry and ungrateful. He was just a man. He loved, he lived, he prayed, and above all he trusted me even when things looked really bad. 


I can and will bless you wherever you are. You do not need to be perfect or even perfectly positioned  for my blessing and my favor. Just be you, do your best and I will be right beside you causing you to be successful all the days of your life. Favor in your life, whether you are in Jerusalem, in a pit, in jail, or in Egypt. I will cause you to succeed. I will be on your  side. I will take care of every need and destine you to succeed. 


You are my daughter and I plan to brag of you. I plan to celebrate your life for eternity. I love you so much and I am here for you always. You are my precious daughter and the apple of my eye. You are everything precious to me and I am committed to you and your success. Rest and be ready for tomorrow.
