The History: A couple of years ago, I started journaling my prayers and God's responses to them. I told my friends about this, they were really interested. I told my Pastor about it and he said, how about sharing those on line. When I asked God, He said, my words are for you, but not just for you. And, here we are...I hope He speaks to you in these words.

Arm in arm...

My prayer:

Ah, Jesus. You said you were going to do a new thing and here we are, old things are coming to an end and I am excited to see what you have for us next.

I pray God, first and always, your will be done. I love you, I trust you, I remain in total awe of all that you are.

What God Said Tonight:

I have your foundations built upon my rock and I will grow you out from there. You will reach great heights but will always be grounded. You will see great things but always from a seat of humility and grace.

I love you my child and my plans are sweet. I will walk with you in this season in a more real and personal way than ever before. I want to be arm in arm with you for this season. I will guide but it will be you and I together.

I love you and I am excited to walk with you in this season.

Truth and fulfillment...

My prayer:

Amazing God. What a great day of celebration. I can never say it enough but thank you for your sacrifice and for saving me. My life would be worthless without you and my death would be torture. With you, I am blessed now and forever.

What God Said Tonight:

I enjoyed today too. So many celebrating and so many coming to know me for the first time. It is a new beginning for so many in so many ways.

This Spring is a time of renewing and of newness. I am doing a new thing. The old ways have passed and it is time for a new, fresh, and pure move.

I do not have time to play around. I do not have time for anything but truth and fulfillment.

Good Friday...

My prayer:

Sweet Jesus. Today is always such a bitter sweet day. We call it Good Friday and it is good as it is a celebration of the sacrifice you made for us. Out of love. I love that you did it. I hate that you had to.

What God Said Tonight:

You have yet to see all that you have gained through that simple and profound act of sacrifice. The world, the universe, eternity was changed that day. It was the day where satan thought he had won the war, only to find out he didn't even win the battle.

You are my children, my brothers, my sisters, and I will never regret that day or that sacrifice. Please do not turn your back on it.

Love them...

My prayer:

Sweet Father. Thank you for making a way for me today. This day threw a lot of challenges at me but you showed me the path forward for each one and I am very grateful. I would be so lost without you God. One hour in this world without you would do me in.

I love you now and forever my God.

What God Said Tonight:

The love I have for you, the love I show you, is how I want you to love others. I want you to find that place of grace and love and show it to others in the same way I show it to you.

Some cannot yet receive my love and until they can, they can only see that kind of love from one of my children who have learned it from me. The path to salvation is paved with love.

Love them so they can love me. Love them so they can receive my love. This is what I ask of you.

Proud parent...

My prayer:

Awesome Father. Thank you for a good day. Thank you for your guidance and your help. Thank you for hearing our prayer today.

My prayer remains that your will is done. Your perfect and amazing will that is better than anything I can imagine. Thank you for always knowing what I need and giving me what is best for me.

I love you and I love how well you know me.

What God Said Tonight:

I made you. I created you in your mothers womb. I dreamt of you before you were born and I chose you specifically.

I will always know you best and know what is going to be best for you. I am your Father and I love you more than you can know. I know your heart because I made your heart.

I made  you and I love what I have made. Like any proud parent.

Spend time with God...

My prayer:

What a wonderful, perfect day God. Thank you so much for every minute of it. You have blessed me beyond what I could have ever imagined and I am so grateful.

What is on your mind tonight God? What is your will for this moment?

What God Said Tonight:

I have only one desire tonight. I want to spend some time with you, my children. No agendas and no plan, just time together that is quiet and filled with the love and peace that is between us.

Play  some music, leave it silent, but I ask for five minutes, where we can just be in each others' presence and in the peace that my love brings.

I love you my children and spending time with you is my greatest joy.

Each small step...

My prayer:

Thank you for a good day God. Just a good solid day with nearly no drama. I pray that your peace and your will continue to rule in my life. I trust you and I love you now and forever.

What God Said Tonight:

Breathe in....breathe out, put one foot in front of the other. Do not worry about tomorrow or what comes after your next step. I have the future taken care of. Just take each step, slowly and with purpose, in the direction that I have guided you to and in time, you will look back and be able to see that the whole journey was planned, important, and has taken you to an entirely new level of glory and joy.

I love you and you are on this journey for a purpose. You think you are moving too slowly, that each step is too little. But I promise each small step is building to a journey that will scale the highest mountain. One step at a time.

I love you now and forever my child.
