Uncontrolled rage...

My prayer:

Awesome God, the level of "crazy" in the world today was off the charts. It seems like uncontrolled rage is overtaking so many people right now. What is the core of that God?

I ask for your help and healing of the core of the rage. We need to be treating each other with kindness, mercy, grace and love. Not assault rifles, running over each other with cars, and baseball bats. God, please fill us with your grace, mercy, peace and love and help us to treat each other in the same way.

What God Said Tonight:

Healing core wounds, as you know, is a process. It is a process that requires participation. You have to be willing to be open to me, to open up to me, so I can see the hurting place. Then you can pray and watch me change the world.

God's on my side...

My prayer:

Thank you for all of your help today God. I see the light at the end of the tunnel!

You give me hope when there is no logical reason to hope. You give me answers when all anybody else has is questions.

I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR YOU IN MY LIFE!!!

What God Said Tonight:

I am yours and you are mine. That means that I am always on your side. That I will make you succeed. That I will bless you abundantly.

God's forgiveness...

My prayer:

I did not like myself much today God. I was not a very good reflection of you. I did not let your grace, mercy, kindness and love flow out of me like I should.

I am sorry God.

I ask for your help to be better tomorrow. I ask for your help in treating people better tomorrow than I did today. Thank you for being the God of second (and third and fourth and...) chances.

What God Said Tonight:

I am walking into your tomb but I am not afraid. No death can hold you. I am walking into your storm but I have no worry, the storm and the waves obey my voice. I walk into your life with no worry knowing that we are together forever and each day we get to try again.

I love you, you're forgiven, you're mine.

Dodging "bullets"...

My prayer:

Awesome Father. Thank you for your help all day long.

Sometimes getting through the day feels like being on a police training course. Today it felt like people kept taking shots at me and I had to dodge and then know whether to shoot back, deflect or avoid.

It was pretty exhausting but in the end, me and everyone around me came out whole with no bullet wounds. That is a victory. Thank you for your victory in my life God.

What God Said Tonight:

Don't forget, part of you loves the face paced life. You know that when things are too slow for too long, you get bored and want to move on.

Trust me to show the direction and timing to dodge. Trust me to give you the response. Know that I am with you and helping you no matter what the circumstance, and then, you can rejoice in all things.

I love you daughter. We have not yet begun to fight.

Grace...

My prayer:

Awesome God. I pray that the grace and mercy you have put in me become more evident in how I think about and treat others. Help me to treat others with the same level of grace and mercy that you show me every day.

I am not very good at it on my own, that is for sure, but when I let you work through me, it is better for everyone. As I walk into this week, make me a blessing and not a curse to those around me. In the name of my savior who gives me grace, Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

You have weighed yourself down with things that you don't need to carry. I cover it all. All sin, all sickness. I do it all without guilt, without condemnation, without punishment.

When you walk in the gift that is freely given, you can give that same grace away. Finding the grace to show others is simply a matter of accepting the grace I have given you.

I hear your mind questioning the parable about the man whose debt was forgiven who then went out and collected a smaller debt from one who owed him. He did show the same grace and mercy to the one who owed him as he was shown by the one he owed.

Yes, that can happen. Don't do that.

Love you sweet daughter. Walk in the freedom I have given to you freely and watch it change you.

Miracle fire...

My prayer:

What a fabulously blessed day God. THANK YOU! I enjoyed every minute of it and I am excited about tomorrow. I love you God. I love having you in my life. I love what my life is with you in it.

What God Said Tonight:

Every miracle is a flame. With the proper care and fuel, it can burn for a very long time. Without fuel, without oxygen, it dwindles to nothing very quickly and you forget it was ever even there.

Feed the miracles in your life. When you see I have done the miraculous, talk about it, write it down, remember it. When you feed the miracle flame like this, it can last and produce fire in your life for a long time.

Don't let the miracle fire go to waste.

Opportunity at the door...

My prayer:

You are so good to me God. You have blessed me in so many ways every day of my life.

I get complacent sometimes and forget all of the amazing things you have done for me. I get focused on the unfulfilled dreams instead of all of the dreams that have come true.

I hate that I do that. It does me no good and it does the people around me no good.

I ask for your help God. Help me to appreciate all that I have more than I desire the things I don't have. Thank you Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

Someone is outside of the door, waiting to come in. I tell you, someone is there waiting.

I have plans and the success of those plans relies on your reaction to the person at the door. I can't tell you more. There are things that you need to experience and go through in life that grow you into the person you are meant to be.

This is one of those moments where all that you are and all that you have learned will come together in how you react. And, that reaction will determine your future.

But, don't worry about it. Don't try to prepare for it. I have been preparing you all of your life. When this opportunity knocks, you will  not need it to knock a second time.
