Having fun with God...

My prayer:

Life with you is so FUN!!! All those years that we thought living life with you meant being sedate, quiet, and boring...we were missing out! God, I love your joy. I love that you want us to enjoy life. I love that you want to enjoy life with us.

Thank you for a fun night. Thank you for being a God who doesn't need us to be serious all of the time. Thank you for your continued favor raining down on my life. Can't wait to see what tomorrow with you brings!

What God Said Tonight:

Living this life with you. That is what I really want. I came to give you life and give you life more abundantly. I came to free you to live the life that you were made to live. I came to do it all with you and for you.

I love you and I love spending time with you. Sometimes that time is serious, sometimes it is worshipful, but sometimes I definitely want to have fun and enjoy you. You are my creation, my child, and my bride. I am celebrating every moment I get to spend with my children. My joy is your strength. 

My joy. That should be clue right there that I like to have fun. My reputation for being an angry and serious God is misrepresented. I am love. My joy is your strength. And there is nothing that I enjoy more than spending time with you and celebrating your victories in me. 

Love you now and forever. 

God on our side...

My prayer:

Awesome God of peace. God I pray for your peace tonight. I pray that you fill us with your peace that passes all understanding. I bind confusion and doubt and I loose your peace and direction in our lives. It is your desire that we live in perfect peace. 

Thank you God for your perfect peace in us tonight.

What God Said Tonight:

You do not need to fear or worry. I am still in charge. I have you covered and protected. Fear is not from me. Confusion is not from me. 

All things that are not from me have no place in your life. You have my peace, my strength and my eternal promise that I will never leave you. I will never turn my back on you. 

My favor, my power, my strength, my Spirit is on your side forever. Who or what could ever beat that?

God's help...

My prayer:

Awesome God. You have all the answers and you work everything out, every time! I don't know why it still surprises me. It shouldn't. 

I spent most of last night thinking about a problem, trying to work out a solution and got no where with it. I go to work today and before I can even try to work it out, you took care of it. Problem solved!

Thank you God! Thank you for taking care of me and the challenges in my life before I can even pray about them. The way you love me, the way you love us is amazing! LOVE YOU!

What God Said Tonight:

I take care of you because I love you. Pretty simple really. 

I love when you pray. I love when you bring me your needs, your wants. It gives us a chance to talk and it gives you a chance to know that it was me who stepped in and took care of it. 

However, when we are close, when you are talking with me throughout the day and we are together throughout the day, you don't always have to ask for help. I see what you need and I have the answers so I will definitely take care of you. 

If a mother saw her toddler drop their toy as they ran across the playground, wouldn't she pick it up? How much better will I, your heavenly Father, take care of your needs? I will give you the desires of your heart and I will provide for your every need. 

You can count on me and I will take care of you. I love you forever, my child.

God's talking...

My prayer:

Wonderful Father. I have a million thoughts running through my head tonight but none are really worth talking about. I think I would rather listen than talk. You always have something wonderful to say and that sounds like a better idea than trying to get my thoughts to line up into anything sensible. LOVE YOU!!!

What God Said Tonight:

I am happy to talk because you listen. 

Can you imagine for a minute what it would feel like if you were talking to people around you all of the time but none of them could hear you? Imagine the frustration. Imagine the hurt. 

I work pretty hard to make it plain. I even wrote a book. But too much of the time, my people, my children don't hear my voice. I know it takes some effort. It takes some practice. That is why I ask you to read my Word and why I ask you to assemble with other Christians often. These are things that help you to hear me. 

When life is so loud that it drowns out my voice, something needs to change. I am talking, all of the time, I am talking. I want to help you  I want to give you direction. I want to give you peace. I want to provide for your every need. Listen, hear, and love. 

Love and relationships...

My prayer:

Wonderful Father. I have a question tonight that I am really struggling with. You made us to be in relationship. Relationship with you and with each other. I have been taught this and I believe it. You are a relationship (3 in 1). 

So, if that is how we are designed, why are we so bad at it? Why to we hurt each other over and over? Why to we lie to each other? Why can't we learn to stay married to each other? Why do we kill each other? 

And, why do we have to learn how to be in a relationship with you? Why is it a revelation for most of us that you want to be in a relationship with us? Shouldn't we come out of the womb ready to begin our relationship with you?

It really seems like we should be better at it.

But, it is what it is as they say. God I pray for your help to love people better. I pray for your help to not hurt others. I pray for you love and peace to overwhelm us and help us to love each other better.

What God Said Tonight:

I think you know the answer before I say it. Sin got in the way. Sin corrupted your nature and one of the greatest things damaged was your capacity to give and receive love. 

You saw it in Cain and Abel. Even back then, with sin in their lives, he chose death over life. He chose to kill instead of to love. The knowledge of good and evil creates a choice between good and evil and, with your enemy running rampant around the earth, many people for many years have made choices that have significantly hurt your ability to love and have right relationships. 

The good news is that it does not have to stay that way. You can rediscover your love nature. You can heal the wounds from sin. You can make choice to love and not to kill. People are doing it every day. 

I will pour out my love on you until it is overflowing out of you. Let that be your guide I love you now and forever, remember...

Listen to God...

My prayer:

Magnificent God. Your presence, your joy was all around me today! It was WONDERFUL! I found myself laughing for no reason other than I felt GOOD! Your joy is my strength, for sure!

I realized something tonight that I honestly did not know. I learned that how you and I talk to each other is not typical. Many people don't know you like this. They could and if they knew how wonderful it is, they would; however, currently, they don't.

God, that makes my heart hurt. I can't imagine not being able to talk to you and expect you to talk back. I can't imagine a relationship with you where having you answer a prayer was the exception and not the rule.

God, my request tonight is that you help people to hear you. I pray that you help people to expect to hear your voice when they pray. I pray that you help people to understand how to wait on you, with expectation and faith. I pray that you help people to know that you want to talk to them and that you are talking to them. Help us to hear you better God.

What God Said Tonight:

I desire your undivided attention. I nearly covet your attention. 

I love you so much and I have so much to tell you. You , my children, have so much that you need to know as we go into this next season. I will shout, I will jump, I will do all that I can to get your attention but in the end, it is your choice. You choose whether to listen to the world or to listen to me. You choose whether you will take time to be quiet with me. You choose whether you will believe that our relationship is real and alive or whether it is only a fantasy. 

I love you more than you will ever know. I have so much to say to you. I will help you, I will guide you, I will give you wisdom and knowledge. Listen for it.

My prayer:

Awesome God. Tired, happy and at peace tonight. Grateful to have time with you. 

Thank you for hearing the prayers sent up this week for all of the needs and healing. Thank you for the numerous praise reports. Thank you for being our God, caring for our every need, and loving us! 

You are THE BEST!!!

What God Said Tonight:

The light is beginning to show on the horizon. It is peaking over the edge and beginning to illuminate some of the details of your next season, your next day. 

You are going to love this next season so much! There will be plenty of challenges but such great joy! You are going to see the miraculours surrounding you in everything that you do. You are going to see things that you could not have imagined as possible. 

I have prepared you for this time. Keep an eye on the horizon. Keep on eye on the details as they become visible. Not because I neccesarily need you to do anything with it right now but just because I want you to see the wonders that are coming. 

I love you and I can't wait to walk with you in this next season.
