Influence...

My prayer:

Wonderful God! It is FRIDAY!!! I made it!!! 

Thank you for grace and mercy to get through the week. Thank you for the tremendous favor you continued to shower on me in the midst of crazy stress and pressure. Thank you for the moments of peace. Thank you for amazing friends who knew just what to say, text, do to strengthen me through the week. And thank you that I get a whole day to relax tomorrow!!! YEA SABBATH!!!! 

I am celebrating survival and celebrating you tonight God. I LOVE YOU!

What God Said Tonight:

This life, your life is so much bigger than your realize. There is so much more purpose and so much more influence in what you do, say, think than what you realize. 

There is a circle of influence around you that sees you, listens to you, models you. As a child of mine, I have set you on a platform so people can know what it is to live for me. Remember that role. Remember that position. Remember that the choices you make effect much more than just you. 

Be real, don't ever lie about what you are going through or when you fail. Those failures and how you fight them with me are as important or more important than successes. But just remember your position. Remember, when you think it is too hard and you want to give up, you not only are giving up your future which I have designed for you but you are interfering with other people's opportunity to the future I have for them. 

I don't mean to pile on guilt or put on more pressure but it is true and important. Your life is not just for you. Mine wasn't for just for me either. 

Check your fruit...

My prayer: 

Wow God, another day of hanging on my fingernails but all day, just when I needed it most, you sent me encouragement. Whether a text from a friend, a great song, time to exercise out the stress, an inspirational video...all day long you brought me just what I needed when I needed it. Thank you!

I could never make it through the rough times in this life without you and, without your favor, all the time would be rough times! LOVE YOU!!

What God Said Tonight:

I want to teach you something tonight. You know how every fruit has seeds. That is part of what defines a fruit as a fruit. Well it is true of the fruits of the Spirit as well. If you have the fruits of the Spirit, joy, peace, goodness, kindness, patience, faithfulness, gentleness, self control, and love... and if they are truly fruits, they will have seeds which will grow. The more you put them out into the world, the more you use them, the more you plant them in people's lives, the more they will grow. Then the fruit that they grow will also have seeds and grow where it is. 

If you are not seeing growth, if you are not seeing multiplication, take a second look. Something is not right. You should see the fruits multiplied around you. If not, you either do not have the fruit or you are not planting it. If you consume all of the fruit and never give any away, it will never grow. If it is not actually fruit and has no seed it will not grow. 

I love you and I want the best for you. I want my fruit to live and grow in your life and the lives of those around you. Check your fruit.

God's timing...

My prayer:

Wonderful Father. Thank you for all of your help today. It was another challenging day but it seemed like I came out on top of the challenges more often than not today. I was able to help a few people which is always awesome. Still in survival mode for sure but felt like I was the head more often than the tail today. 

How was your day? Did anything great happen? Did any of us remember to bless you? 

I love you God and just in case no one said it today, you are wonderful, amazing, incredible, and everything I could ever hope for!

What God Said Tonight:

Back to basics. Sometimes it is important to revisit your foundational learning and shore up your base. Remember who you are and who you belong to. remember that no matter the circumstances you are the head and not the tail and that I will destine you to succeed. I am always o your side. 

My day was good and filled with blessings and challenges. And, my day is not over. My day is never really over. I am the God of the universe and the Father to humankind, I am omnipresent, at all places at all times. It is always day somewhere so my day never ends. 

That is one thing that you will want to understand. I know you have questioned the timing in my word and you have questioned my timelines. One of the reasons we don't think of time the same way is that my day never ends and my night never ends. I am continually present in both time periods at the same time. I am everywhere at all times. It is why I can say I will never leave you. Where you are, I am. 

Practice being a blessing...

My prayer:

Ok God. So, you definitely warned me that a challenge was on the way but I didn't realize you meant today! Weehaw today was ridiculously crazy, hard, and whatever other word for bad that I can't think of right now because I used every brain cell I had today just to survive. Maybe we made it through and tomorrow will be easier? I hope so. 

I pray for your continued help God. 

The thing that I hate about days like this is it drains me so much that I have nothing left to give away. I don't treat people with the love and care that I want to and I should. I am so busy trying to survive and make it through that I don't have time, energy, or power to help anyone else. I don't like me when I get like that. 

God, please make me a blessing to the people around me. Otherwise, why am I here?

What God Said Tonight:

Practice being a blessing. Practice being kind, and thoughtful and giving. The more you practice that during the good times the more likely you are to act that way, out of instinct, in the hard times. 

You don't have to be in a good mood to be generous. You don't have to have overflow to give to someone else. It is easier, absolutely but not necessary. 

As long as I am in you you will always have something more to give. Keep me in you. Let them see me in you, even when you are not at your best. Especially when you are not at your best. Put on my armor and let them see me. 

Your challenges are not over but neither is my help. I will be with you every step of the way, now and forever. Be at peace and know that I am God, I am on your side, and I will see you victorious every time.

Wisdom for the challenge...

My prayer:

Wonderful teacher. Every time I turned around today, people who I care about and who care about me were praying for me to have wisdom. Which is wonderful, I can always use more wisdom. But, it makes me wonder what you are up to or what I am up against next. What is it that is going to require me to have all this wisdom? 

I guess I am not really expecting you to tell me but it makes me curious. Then again, I am almost always curious. Maybe those two things go hand in hand?

Either way God, I will gladly and gratefully receive all the wisdom you want to pour out on me. Thank you for always giving me just what I need just when I need it.

What God Said Tonight:

I do have a challenge coming up for you but I am preparing you for it. You will have every tool and every weapon you need for this challenge. You will have the wisdom you need. You will have the strength you need. 

All you will need to do is stay focused on me, use the gifts I have given you and you will walk through the battle with no harm and no serious effort. You will walk through it already triumphant. 

Those that cheered you on in the past will be silent and those who were against you will rally behind you. It is not going to make a lot of sense to your rational mind but use the wisdom that I will give you and you will understand. 

You will know what I know about the activities in this spiritual realm. You will see in the places that no person can go. You will walk into the prophesies from the past. You are paving the way for the future.

Grow where you are...

My prayer:

Thank you for a wonderful day with family today God. Thank you for healing Mom's shoulder on the trail. Feeling you pop it back into joint was very cool! 

I have a lot of other thoughts running through my mind tonight God but nothing worth talking about. I would rather just listen to you. I love to hear your voice.

What God Said Tonight:

Every where you go, you see the plants of this earth growing. Even in areas covered in concrete, they find a way through. Why do they work so hard to grow where there planted and my children, who have many more gifts and abilities, fail to grow where they are planted?

I hear your prayers, 'move me, put me in position, guide me.' Tonight I tell you, grow where you are. I will move you in time. I will guide you always. I will position you for greatness. Those are all things I have promised and I will come through for you. While I am working those things you, grow where you are planted. Do all that you can right where you are. Find the opportunities and open doors that I have right now right in front of you. 

It may not be the immediate fulfillment to your dream but it will work you toward it. Your diligence and your faithfulness to what you have now will make a way for you to your future. 

I need more...

My prayer:

I want you to be enough for me. Nothing missing and nothing lacking. But I need more. I need more than I have right now. Maybe that means I need more of you. I don't know but I need more. 

I ache God. I feel like what I need is just beyond my fingertips and I can't or won't grab onto it. What is blocking me God?

What God Said Tonight:

I have left a legacy for you . I have left a purpose and a plan for you to live out in whatever way you want to. I have given you gifts and talents with the hope you will use them for my kingdom but I don't require it. 

There are many things that are clamoring for you attention and you time. There are many things that want to take you from me right now. You make the choice. All of it is your choice. I am not a prison warden. I have no desire to shackle you to a path that you do not want. I want to see you running free in the field. I want to see you living out your dreams. I just hope that I am in your dreams. 

I know you want me to lead you and guide you. I know you want me to give the answers that you are missing right now. But, sometimes the journey of discovering the answers is as important as having the answers. I will show you the way. And, if you choose to follow, you will have the answers you seek. You will fill the hole that you feel. 

I could fill the hole tonight. I could fill it right now. But you would be deprived of the experience of seeking and finding the answer that will last the rest of eternity. I want to see you healed fully. I am not interested in band aids. You are so desperate to have the hole filled but the hole makes you humble and vulnerable and that makes you teachable and lovable.
