A Christmas light...

 

My prayer:

We are getting really close to celebrating your birthday! I am very excited! I know this time is not so wonderful for everyone. I think that is really satan trying to steal our joy. He throws chaos. lies, and materialism at us and waits to see if it ruins our joy. 

My prayer this year God is for you to block all of those weapons that he is trying to use against your children. I pray that this year, your children are able to focus on the celebration and the joy of the birth of our savior who gave everything for us.

You are my everything Lord and I love you more than I can say.

What God Said Tonight:

A light in the darkness. That is truly a symbol of what the celebration of Christmas, of the Savior of the world is. It is the celebration of a light that came to the world in the middle of darkness. 

I have come to light up the world. To show the people that there is a life of joy and love and light that can be theirs, if they want it. As I shine my light on the world, look around. See what is possible. See what a world without darkness can be. If you want that as much as I do, follow me. Accept me. Tell yourself and the world that you belong to me. That is the first step and from there on, we can walk in the light together through eternity. 

I love you my child. You are a reflector of my light and I will be with you always. 

Every need met...

 

My prayer:

Awesome God, I have no idea what to pray tonight. Maybe tonight is more about listening than it is about talking?

What God Said Tonight:

Healing is yours. Salvation is  yours. They joy of the Lord is yours. Peace that goes beyond the ability to understand it, is yours. You have everything you need and more. 

In recognizing that, in recognizing my promises over your life, there is no need to worry or wonder because there is no need. I will fulfill all of your needs through my riches in glory. 

My promises are true. My promises are truth itself. Receive them and you will never need for anything again. I love you my daughter, now and forever.

Love and Peace...

 

My prayer:

Sweet Father, it is nearly the time when we celebrate your Son's birthday here on earth. Every year, I ask what you would like for gift this year. I haven't asked yet. What do you want for Christmas?

What God Said Tonight:

I want peace. Pray for peace this Christmas. Pray for the peace that comes from love. The peace that is the natural result of people truly loving each other. 

Love a little more this Christmas. Pray for the peace that comes from that love. You are my precious child and I am yours forever.

Mercy...

 

My prayer:

Heavenly Father, I pray tonight for mercy. In the name of Yeshua/Jesus, the Christ Messiah, I pray for mercy for your children here on earth. We give you all the glory, honor, and praise.

What God Said Tonight:

Mercy is a direct outcome of my tremendous love for you my child. I pour out my mercy daily. But I hear your request and I know the circumstances for which you are asking. 

It is not always a mercy to delay hard things. It is not always a mercy to keep someone from harm. There are times when the kindest and right thing to do is to allow someone to go through something that will teach them something so very important for their future, their eternity with me. 

Those who already easily trust and give their lives and hearts to me without reservation, those people may have an easier time; but, troubles come to everyone and it is in the trouble and in the mourning that hearts are laid bare and are most open to receiving the saving power of my death and resurrection. 

Saved...

 

My prayer:

Mighty God. I pray that your will is done, on earth as it is in heaven. I pray your perfect will be done. I trust your will. I know that your will is the best choice for me, for the world, for eternity. 

I love you so much Lord and I fully understand that your love for me is greater than I can imagine. It is from that love that my trust becomes so complete. It is easy to pray, 'not my will but your will,' because I know without a shadow of a doubt that your will is the better choice. Every time. 

I love you sweet Lord and I can't wait to see what you have for us next. 

What God Said Tonight:

It is no secret. My will is pretty straightforward and I wrote it down for the world to read and understand. Now, there is the piece of it that I describe where some may have a veil or scales on their eyes. They cannot see what is plainly in front of them. Those scales will fall and they will have the opportunity to see and know the truth. 

It is my will that all would come to me and be saved. 

I love you my child and your life is in my will and forever will be. 

How to love...

 

My prayer:

Awesome Father. I come to you in the name of Jesus, the Christ Messiah and I need some help with love. It is the commandment of the new covenant, to love you and to love others as I do myself. More specifically, you have told me that is my ministry, to love those you have put in my life. Something that is so easy to say but at times, so difficult to do. 

You are love. To love perfectly comes so naturally to you. I have a harder time. Love in this world has been pretty beat up and mishandled. Is it more loving to tell someone they are wonderful when the truth is that they have some things that really have to change if they are going to be successful. Or is it more loving to help them understand, in a loving way, what they can do differently. Am I loving my fellow man when I help them with something that is difficult for them or am I actually hurting them by taking away the opportunity for them to learn and grow. Or, does motivation really determine it all. If my true motivation is love and I make decisions out of that love, is that the best love I can give?

I ask for your help to love better.

What God Said Tonight:

Love, human love, is not perfect. the only perfect love is from me. Human love, the love you are capable of on your own, is flawed and has to be given out with equal measures of love and grace. 

Motivation does matter. If your heart is right and your intentions are right, that often leads to the right actions of love. If those intentions are wrong or are not out of love, then there is very little possibility that the outcome will be good, that the outcome will be love. I may even say it is impossible. 

When I ask you to love those around you, I am asking more than anything, to reflect the love that I have shown you. The closer you can get to that reflection, the closer you get to perfect love. 

When faced with a decision, first check your heart. Are your intentions right? Is your intention to love that person? If so, consider situations in your life where you have been faced with the same issue. How did I handle that situation with you? Reflect that love and grace that I showed you. 

It isn't always easy but it gets easier every time you do it. I love you my child, now and forever.

Trust...

 

My prayer:

It is hard for me to know what to pray about tonight God. This week has such potential to be really challenging, but it might all turn out just fine. And then, as we saw last week, there could be major life changing things that happen with no warning at all.

It really comes down to, I need you, every minute of every day. I pray that your perfect will is done, in everything. If those two things happen, I have literally nothing to worry about.

What God Said Tonight:

Knowing what is coming next can bring some level of comfort . However, how much more comfort to know that whatever comes next, I will help out through it. That is the true point of this life. If you can get to a point that you know with every part of you that I will help you with everything. That I will never let you down and I will never make you go it alone. If you can fully believe that, nothing cannot scare you and nothing can worry you. 

Live this life of peace I am offering you. 

Trust that I love you. Trust that I will never leave you. Trust that I will always help you.
