Safe in the storm...

My prayer:

There was a lot of nastiness to deal with today but when I look back on it, you were so good to me and brought me through it all with no permanent damage. That is pretty awesome! Thanks for being my refuge in the storm today God.

What God Said Tonight:

I have yet to see the storm that can shake my children when they are holding on to me. The wind may blow and the rain may fall but you will be safe.

That is what I have been showing you with these storms all week. You see them build, they look so ominous and yet, you have made every ride home with not even a drop hitting you,

I want you to see and to trust that I will keep you safe in every storm. I don't need you to look to the horizon to see the next frightening thing coming your way. I only need you to look at me and I will take care of the rest.

I love you. Don't take your eyes off of me.

Destined for greatness...

My prayer:

Sweet Father, I am worn out tonight. I just really want to hear your voice.

What God Said Tonight:

15199, Don't forget it and don't lose it. It will make sense one day.

You are destined for greatness. Never forget that.

Nothing special...

My Prayer:

You are wonderful and amazing and everything to me God. My life did not really begin until you were in it. Everything I have, everything I am and everything I know is only good because of you. Thank you for choosing me!

What God Said Tonight:

Today is one day in eternity.  It does not determine the future and it is not a result of the past, entirely. It is just a day.

Sometimes life just is. Sometimes, there is no greater significance.

But, even in those days when nothing special seems to happen, even in those days, I will always give you a nugget. I will always give you a little show of joy, love, miracles. I have daily gifts set up for you.

 

Work...

My prayer:

My thoughts are wrapped up in work tonight God. There is so much to do. I will absolutely need your intervention to get it all done. The great thing is, you are always so wonderful to help me get it all done.

I ask for your help and direction. Show me each thing as I need to do it. Thank you God for your help and your timing.

What God Said Tonight:

I have work for you to do but it is work that will fill you, not empty you. It is work that will build you up and not tear your down. I have work for you.

Learning to trust...

My prayer:

Amazing God. I have been thinking a lot lately about the trouble I have with trusting people. With a few exceptions, I really do expect most people will try to hurt me in some way. I am always really happy when they don't, but underlying everything is the knowledge that they could and probably will. That means I live most of my life in defense mode, ready to protect, ready to fight.

I think this has gotten better over the years but not because I learned to trust people but I did learn to trust you. I learned to trust that no matter what people do to me, you will take care of me. You will turn it for my good. That was a big step for me and has really changed my life.

But now, I am starting to think that I am missing out on some pretty important things due to my lack of trust. We all know where the lack of trust comes from and I have done absolutely all I know to get healed from those hurts, but it has not been enough.

I ask for your help to heal what I cannot. I ask for you help to teach me how to trust. I ask for your STRONG protection in the process.

What God Said Tonight:

I have shown you a life of color from a life of black and white. I am now going to take that color to ultra HD.

Your trust in me is well founded. Trust me now to know how far to take you. Trust me now to surround you with people who can hurt you but wont. Trust me to show you the spectrum of possibilities when you allow true trust and relationship to flourish in your life.

Keep your eyes and your heart open and see what I will do for you.

Father God...

My prayer:

Awesome God. Today was one of those days that did not go the way I planned, was fairly annoying; however, I can already see how you are using it for my good.

You take such good care of me. Thank you for always showing me the potential problems in my life before they become to massive. Thank you for providing solutions. Thank you for being my Father.

I love you!

Taking care of you is my job and my privilege.

I love you. I made you in my image. I have hopes and dreams for you that far outshine those that you have thought of for yourself.

With your trust, I can take you there.

I love you and I will always take care of you. I will always give you a heads up when something needs to change. I love you to much to see life sideswipe you.

A prayer away...

My prayer:

Some real highs and lows today God. For a change though, I am not in the mood to talk about it. I really just want some time in your presence, resting in your love. That sounds better than anything right now.

What God Said Tonight:

Come here. I am always here for you. When you need direction, when you need help and especially when you need love. I am never more than a prayer way.

Lean on me and rest.
