The History: A couple of years ago, I started journaling my prayers and God's responses to them. I told my friends about this, they were really interested. I told my Pastor about it and he said, how about sharing those on line. When I asked God, He said, my words are for you, but not just for you. And, here we are...I hope He speaks to you in these words.

Comfort...

My prayer:

Thanks for the opportunity to be a blessing today God. I love it when I get to help someone. I don't seem to have much on my mind tonight God but I love you and love to listen to you. Anything you want to talk about?

What God Said Tonight:

I have sat down beside you and held your hand through the waiting. I have stood behind you in the struggle. I have walked before you on the journey. I have dwelled in you through it all.

I am with you always. Let my presence be your comfort.

Ushered in by God...

My prayer:

Thank you God for a day of renewed hope. You always have what I need just when I need it. Thank you for knowing and loving me!

What God Said Tonight:

It is time. Get ready. I am about to walk you into your future...

Stand with me, walk with me, trust me to lead you right where you need and want to be.

I have been walking with you for some time now. We have seen and done much together. Tomorrow will see a new day with new wonders. We will see it all together. Grab ahold of my arm as I usher you in.

They are waiting for you.

Perfect in Christ...

My prayer:

Amazing Father. What a rollercoaster today was! Some really great things followed by some really hard things with shadows of even worse things that could have happened but didn't. Thank you for your protection on the way home. I have never seen so many cars who seemed like their sole purpose was to see me dead.

God, days like this make me know more than ever that the best thing I can do is surrender to you and your will and pray for your help.

Help, please Jesus!

What God Said Tonight:

I am here sweet child. I am right here. I will take care of you. I will take care of everything. I am here.

Your wound is fresh but it is not new. It hurts because it has reopened a wound from the past. I will close the wound. I will heal the wound.

Your next level of healing will leave you less venerable to reinjury.

Your healing is to know that you are perfect in me, not in your own effort but in me. And, since your perfection is in me, no one can question it. It can never be changed. It is not related to your mistakes. It sits above your successes and your failures. It covers you and all that you do.

You do not have to try to perfect. You are made perfect in me. You do not have to worry when you fail, you are made perfect in me. I am your confidence.

Time alone with God...

My prayer:

Thank you God for a day to do almost nothing. What a privilege and gift!

What do you want for your birthday this year God? What I can give the God of the Universe?

What God Said Tonight:

I want time alone with you. You, my children are what is most precious to me.

Come, let's sit on the beach and watch the waves come in together. Come, sit with me in front of the fireplace and remember all of the good times we have had together. Come, to our quiet spot and let's just talk and be together.

That is what I want. That is all I want. I love you.

Celebrate...

My prayer:

What an awesome day! What an awesome night! God, YOU ARE AWESOME!!! Divine appointments, left and right. Old relationships renewed, current relationships strengthened, new relationships formed...AWESOME!

God, when we get out of our own way and let you do your thing...woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What God Said Tonight:

Celebrate life. In the desert, in the storm, in the blessing on the other side, celebrate life!

Life, your life is a precious gift. The angels are jealous. Life is something you are meant to celebrate. It does not last forever. You, you and I, we last forever, but life, life is short and filled with challenges and joy. Find the joy and celebrate it every chance that you get.

I love you sweet daughter. Sleep and rejoice again tomorrow.

Teenager...

My prayer:

Dear God. I have on my heart tonight teenagers and the parents of teenagers. I pray that you help the teens through this time of transition. Remind them they are not alone. Give them peace and hope for a future. Help them to see that if they invite you into their lives, you will take care of them.

I pray for the parents God. I pray that yo give them wisdom and understanding. I pray that you give them strength and endurance. I pray that you give them patience and courage.

Thank you Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

A birthday comes and goes and the whole world can change, or at least your perception of the world can change.

I have such a love for the teenaged kids who struggle so constantly to find who they are and their place in the world. I love when those teens invite me in to be apart of their journey. To guide them in their journey. They can be the most powerful testimonies.

I love their parents too. I know for many they may not have signed on for the parenthood deal if they knew how hard these years could be. But, I have never left them or forsaken them. I will see them through this season, just like those of the psat.

I am your God, your Lord, your teacher and your provider. I will see you through.
