Changing your experience...

My prayer:

Amazing God. I was so frustrated all day and then you give me such WONDERFUL news to end this day. Thank you!!! If ever I needed a bit of good news, today was the day and as always, you came through for me. 

Thank you for never leaving me. Thank you for always showing up exactly when I need you with exactly what I need. I am so grateful that I never have to live, or exist one second without you. Pretty sure I would not make it.

I also need to lift up the people here and around the world who don't have homes tonight God. It is SO COLD here. Please help them find warm places to spend the night. Keep them safe. Keep them protected. Thank you Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

Snow and cold are interesting in that they can be a great source of joy or a source of pain and death. 

You sing songs about winter wonderlands and the joy of playing in the snow. You ski, you board, you snow mobile, laughing all through it and enjoying every minute of it. And then, that same snow, that same storm can steal someone's life. 

That is really how most things in life are. They can bring you joy and life or they can bring you pain and death. What you get is partially a result of what you focus on, how you choose to see it. But what you get is sometimes related to your situation. And sometimes that situation is completely out of your control.  

When I tell you I will turn everything toward your good, that is a big part of what I am talking about. I will turn you from the negative experience of a thing and toward a positive experience of the thing. I will exchange the pain and death experience for a joy and life experience. The circumstance usually doesn't change but your experience of it does. 

Love you my child and I am always on your side. 

God's glory is coming...

My prayer:

Awesome Father. What a mixed bag of good and bad today was. I am tired physically, emotionally and spiritually from this day. The one thing that will recharge me and make it all worthwhile is to hear your voice. You are always the best part of my day God. LOVE YOU!!

What God Said Tonight:

My glory is about to rain down on your life. You have experienced my favor. You have experienced my mercy and my grace. Get ready for my glory. 

Glory is not something that can be explained well. It is beyond words. It is beyond the ability to describe. It can only be experienced, using every physical emotional and spiritual sense that you have. 

Part of the reason your day drained you so, is the enemy trying to dull your senses, hoping you do not experience my glory. 

But you are my child. He forgets that you hear my voice and that you would not be able to miss my glory, even if you tried. I will recognize you in my glory and you will recognize me. We know each other and that cannot be taken away. 

I love you child. Rest up for my glory is coming.

Marriage and divorce...

My prayer:

Wonderful Father. I am kind of down tonight. 

More reports of wonderful friends after decades of marriage who are getting divorced. I know you hate divorce God. I think it is because it hurts the people involved so much. The people involved in these situations believe they have no other choice. I don't know what to tell them but I do know one thing I can do and that is put it all in your hands. I can't fix it but you can. 

God, I lift up marriages that are in trouble tonight and ask for your miraculous intervention. You tell us God, and we even use it in a lot of our marriage ceremonies, that what you have put together, let no man put asunder. I pray for your healing power in every hurting marriage tonight. I pray that you fill them with your love and remind them how to love each other. I pray that you take all of the impossible situations and make it possible. 

Thank you Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

Marriage works when you build the relationship on me. It works when everything is in it's right place. I designed you to live in relationship and I designed wives and husbands to work together in some pretty specific ways. I did all of that because I knew that it was not good for man to be alone. 

The design was good. The design is good. The trouble is other people make decisions that can and do directly effect you.

I love you and I can heal and restore your marriage. Just relax and let me in to move things into right position. Trust. When you see your spouse changing and doing things differently, trust that I am doing something in him as we speak. I have many blessings coming your way. It will be important to sort out the marriage and living situations before we move out. 

It matters...

My prayer:

Thank you for an easy day today God. I have not had one of those in awhile and it was a nice break. 

I don't really have much to talk about tonight. Grateful, as always, that I get to spend quiet time with you at the end of the day. Can't imagine ending the day without spending time listening to your voice. Love you!

What God Said Tonight:

Your day seemed easy because you followed my lead in prayer this morning. 

There was a lot happening in the spiritual realm today. I know that you were not aware and that is because I had you take care of your part early this morning. Those prayers of protection lasted through the day and provided the line of defense needed to win the battle. 

You don't always know how significant your actions are. When I ask you to do something, there is always an important reason, even though you don't always see what that reason is. I am a God of purpose, all powerful, all knowing and I will never waste your time on things that don't matter. 

So, remember to respond, every time I ask you to do something, no matter how small. It matters. You matter. Love you.

Uncomfortable understanding....

My prayer:

Awesome God, I an grateful for what you are teaching me right now. I am grateful for the new level of understanding of what the Good News really is, what your grace really is, what your salvation really is. To understand that you literally paid for every sin that ever was, ever is or ever will be committed. That once we choose you, we are forgiven, end of story. That we don't ever have to feel guilt, ask again for forgiveness, or work to make our lives right. That all we have to do is to seek you and receive you. 

Everything we ever will need is in you, including any changes that we need. Not that I need to make better choices or I need to work on a step program to get free. No. Those things don't work long term. What changes me is my time with you. In your presence, I get new desires, I get new wisdom, I get new peace, all of which makes me a better (still flawed but better person).

I always had a hard time of understanding why you would ask us to do things that we could not do. To be like Christ, to pray without ceasing, to love you with everything we are and love our neighbors as ourselves all of these things that we try to do, we want to do, but I have never met anyone who could do them consistently. Not if you really get to know the person. I think the answer is in this new understanding you are giving me of your grace and your love. I don't have the answer yet but I feel like I am right on the edge.  

This new understanding is also making me really reassess most everything I have been taught my entire life about you and how to live this life for you. Now that is scary. That is what has me feeling unsure and off center tonight God. What does this mean? What do I do with it?

I pray for your continued help, guidance, understanding, and teaching. Thank you God for always teaching and taking me to the next level.

What God Said Tonight:

You didn't have to do anything to learn this new information except say yes to me and follow my direction. You will not have to do anything more than that for the rest of your life. I will always lead you and guide you.

There are times in your life where it was important for you to understand things at a certain level. That was the level you needed for the things that were in your life at the time. There are things coming that require a new level of knowledge and understanding and I am taking you there to prepare you for those times.

Change is never comfortable but you do not need to be afraid. You do not need to fear what is coming next. I will always take care of you and I will always keep you. I will always make sure you have all that you need.

Don't force it. I know you want this uncomfortable feeling to go away and you want to do whatever you can to speed that up. But that would be the wrong move. Don't force the solutions to this. Rest and trust in me to guide you through.

All that I need...

My prayer:

God I crave your presence. I crave the intimacy with you that transforms me and my life. I crave time with you. 

Being in your presence is what makes life worthwhile, what transforms me and what fuels me. No matter how I get there, whether in worship, whether in prayer, whether in quiet reflection, whether in the middle of an intense run, in a service, in the middle of the chaos that is life. No matter how I get there, here, with you, the end result is miraculous and addicting. 

LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!

What God Said Tonight:

Come here and find your rest. Find your rest in me. Find your joy in me. Find your peace in me. Find your life in me. I have within me all that you need and it is all yours. 

I will not be stingy. I will not withhold from you. I will bless you to overflow. I will love you forever. I will see you healed and saved as a result of all I did at the cross. 

I know things feel like they are spiraling out of control but that is just because a change in regime is coming. The king of he underground who has been sitting at the headgates of earth for years is right now watching us. He is making his last ditch efforts to confuse the world and keep you from living eternity with me. 

But, even now, even in this time, I have all you need. Lean on me, receive my love and know that I am God and I am on your side, always. 

Follow God...

My prayer:

We made it!!! Craziest week ever, so much to do that had to be done, no way in the world it could all get done...in comes my God, the God of the impossible, and here we are, Friday night and EVERYTHING that needed to get done is done. Thank you for ALWAYS taking care of me and the people and the things I care about. Thank you for taking care of mom today God. Thank you for healing her. Your healing power never ceases to amaze me.

What God Said Tonight:

I have a plan and purpose on your life. Never forget that. 

I love you, no matter what, but I chose you for a purpose. I chose you for a distinct plan. I need you to follow my will and my direction to accomplish my will and the purpose I have for you. Don't follow my direction because you feel you have to. Follow my direction if you want to. I only take on willing help. 

But, if you do, if you follow my will and purpose for your life I can promise you satisfaction as you have never known. I can promise success beyond your wildest dreams. I can promise you fulfillment that will never cease. I can promise you that we will do it all together.
