Taking God for granted...

My prayer:

Mighty God! You are wonderful. It is easy to forget how amazing you are because you are so amazing all the time. I don't want to take you for granted. I always want to be in awe of you. God, there are so many people out there with inaccurate ideas of you. 

I pray that we see you clearly God, know you deeply, and NEVER take you for granted.

What God Said Tonight:

I like that prayer. It is easy to take for granted those things that are with you every day.

I promise that I will continue to show you and teach you new things. I promise that your days of learning are  not over. A life with me does not need to ever grow stagnant. I am the creator of the world and I know all things. I will never run out of things to teach and to show you as long as you are willing to seek me.

I love you. Expect me to shake things up once in awhile. Not only to see change but also so you don't get stagnant and complacent.

My prayer:

So tired God. Two hours of sleep is not enough. Too tired to put thoughts together but never too tired to listen. I can't wait to hear your voice tonight. Usually when I am this beat, and I get completely out of your way, you come up with the greatest stuff. LOVE YOU!

What God Said Tonight:

You sparkle like silver and gold. When you get free of sin, you reflect my light and sparkle like precious metals and jewels. You are so beautiful when you are free of sin. When you allow my blood to wash you clean of all sin, you are more beautiful than you can imagine. 

I have created you in the image of me. When you were in your perfected form, before sin, you looked like me. You were glorious and so beautiful. That was stolen by sin. Your beauty was stolen by sin. 

But, I bought it back with my life and my blood. You have been restored to your former glory and beauty. You should walk proudly in that. You are not the person you used to be when you were covered in sin. You are now covered in my blood, washing you clean and making you ready. So beautiful.

Keep up the fight...

My prayer:

Mighty God, I want to see your glory. I want to see your power manifested in more lives. I want to live in the full manifested glory of your will and your power in my life. I want to see you do more in this time than you did in the days that you were here on earth with us. I want to see your people living the blessed and fulfilled lives that you want for them. I want to be in perfect obedience to your will. I want to live a life free of sin and sickness. I want you to be proud of me God. 

God, you have said that you will give me the desires of my heart. There they are. Please tell me if there is anything more I need to do or not do. Please tell me if I am doing anything to block it. I stand in anticipation of your magnificent glory!

What God Said Tonight:

You are in a battle within a war. You are a soldier in that war. You follow your commander's instructions because it is what you were trained to do and because you know the commander has a better view of the battle than you do. 

In the war, you will win some battles and you will lose some battles. You will wake up some days ready to attack and others you will have to force yourself into battle. Sometimes you think, "What is the point? I am only one person in this huge battle, this huge war. Does it really make a difference if I fight or not?" I am here to tell you it makes all the difference in the world. You  must keep up the good fight of faith for your own sake and for the sake of your army. 

You are in a fight for not only your life but for the lives of all of your brothers and sisters. Fight the good fight of faith, every day, every minute, every second of your life. 

We win the war, that is a given. But how you fare in the battle, the casualties and injuries you receive, the injuries your fellow soldiers receive will depend largely on how well you fight. Don't give in to discouragement. Don't give in to the ones who say it is not possible. Don't give in to the voice saying it is all too much and too hard. When I have I ever asked you to do something that I have not given you every last thing and ability you needed to do it? 

We are in this together and we are in it to win. I love you my soldier. Keep up the fight.

Bitter, discouraged and let down...

My prayer:

Mighty God. I want to come against bitterness tonight. Seemed like today was full of people bitter, discouraged, and feeling let down. It is so easy to get that way. Life is rough and every day there are so many things that can knock us down if we let them. 

God, I ask for your encouragement tonight. Remind us that with you in our corner, we can't help but win in the end. I pray God for hope that  will push out the bitterness and discouragement. I pray for mercy, grace and forgiveness that will push out the feelings of being let down. I ask God that you breath new life into us so we can be the people, the children of God that you created us to be. Thank you Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

Bitterness is a cancer that needs to be pulled out and killed at the root. The root of bitterness is almost never the thing that you first think it is. Bitterness has a way of twisting around so that it comes out at the oddest times. Search for that root. Find the root and you can get rid of the bitterness. 

Discouragement happens. I get discouraged sometimes. I once got so discouraged I wiped out the entire earth except for Noah and his family and the animals he collected. Talk about being discouraged! I had decided that everything I created was garbage and needed to be done away with. 

SO, don't get concerned when you get discouraged but don't let it keep you from trying again. Once I was done, and saw Noah and his family, I knew that I would never do that again and made a covenant with him and his decedents  What you do about discouragement is always a choice. Make the choice that gets you back on top of it. 

Then there is that feeling of being let down. That usually goes with the discouraged feeling. It will happen but if you trust in me, I will always come through for you. People may turn their back on you but I will be there and I will bring new people into your life. People may lie to you but I will always tell you the truth. People may hurt your feelings but I will comfort you. You have the people that you do in your life for a reason. When that reason is over, I will bring new people. Don't be angry with people because their season is over. Let them go knowing that I will bring new people for the new season. 

I love you so much. I will never leave you. Ever.

Desires of your heart...

My prayer:

My thoughts are really scattered tonight God. So many things going on, most of them good but just a lot. Life is so fast paced these days and I usually really like that. It keeps things interesting. But, I definitely need some down time to regroup and refocus. Thank you that I get the luxury of a Sabbath tomorrow! 

I am yours God for whatever you need me for and thank you for always providing the rest time with the assignments. Thank you for always giving me the strength and ability to do what you ask me to do. Thank you for this life you have given me. I love you God!

What God Said Tonight:

I will give you the desires of your heart. No problem too big no dream too weird. I will give you the desires of your heart because you have a heart for me.  It is easy to provide for you and to give to you when you have a heart that is after the same things that I am after. 

Remember to always love through it all. My love in you is the most powerful thing on the planet and will fight through the battles and shine on in victory. 

Love is more than emotion. Love is action. Love is tangible. Love is wrapping a warm coat around someone who doesn't have one. Love is wrapping your arms around someone who needs it. Love is patient and it is kind but Love is also a powerful weapon against evil. No evil  can stand against real, true, pure love. The enemy crumbles in the face of that love. 

SO, love on and I will continue to bring to you the desires of your heart...all of them. 

Paths...

My prayer:

Just when I think I know what direction you are headed, you switch things up. Life with you is EXCITING God!! I remember, before I was living my life for you, I use to think that living for you would be boring. I would have to give up all of the "fun" stuff. But now, just keeping up with you and all you are doing and all you want me to do keeps my head spinning. And it is ALL fun stuff!

Thank you for understanding my weaknesses and protecting me from myself. I am ready to go God! Let's do it!

What God Said Tonight:

This is going somewhere good. This time, these events, may not follow the path that you had in mind but they are following the path that I ordained. That path will not only get us where we are going but it will take us through the things that you need to go through. 

The destination is important but so is the path and the experiences along the way. Your life is a path and I am the destination. Follow every path that leads you closer to me and turn from every path that leads you away. 

I am so happy right now! There is so much that you are right on the brink of. This is REALLY GOOD!

Season of doing...

My prayer:

Thank you God for a day of divine appointments, especially the surprise one at the end of today! I came so close to skipping small group tonight but you had other plans. Thank you for getting me there and for all that you did. 

You always know. It is like you said the other night, most of the time I have no idea why you are asking me to do something but you always have a reason. Thank you for nights like tonight where I get to see the reason. 

It is pretty cool that I get to hang out with, serve, and know you, the all knowing God. YOU ARE AMAZING!!

What God Said Tonight:

It is not a time for waiting it is a time for doing. You are in a season now where I need you to do, to act, and to do so quickly. The waiting season is over, which I know you are glad about. Waiting is not your strongest asset. But doing, that is where you can really shine and I have a lot for you to do. 

Stay alert. Keep your ears open. Keep your eyes open and keep your spirit open to follow my lead. 

We need to grab every opportunity in this season. It is a season where everything you do is multiplied. Both good and bad. Everything you do in this season will be multiplied. Make sure that you do things that you want to see multiplied.
