You don't know everything...

My prayer:

Awesome God, I am tired of listening to me. What do you want to say tonight? I just want to listen to you.

What God Said Tonight:

Things aren't always what they seem. Situations aren't always what you think they are. You do your best to make sense of the world but you don't have all of the information. There will always be things that will surprise you because you don't know everything you need to know to understand. 

I can teach you much but there will always be some things that you don't know. That is where your faith and trust in me comes in. When I tell you to talk to someone, or turn right, to make a particular choice, when I tell you I want you to do something, even if it does not make sense to you, please, do it anyway. There is always a reason that I am asking and I will try to let you know when I can but trust me and listen to me. 

When I asked you to encourage the woman during church on Sunday, I know you thought it was not an appropriate time but thank you for doing it anyway. There were things happening that you did not know about. When I ask you to pray for someone you haven't thought about in months, please pray. There are things going on that you do not know about. 

I love you daughter and I don't ask for obedience out of any type of power trip. I am God almighty and I am more powerful than anything or anyone else, ever. I ask for obedience because sometimes I need you to do something and I don't have the time or the ability to explain why. Trust me that there always is a "why" and follow my lead. 

Mirrors...

My prayer:

Hi God! Thank you for a wonderful day. 

Something I noticed today, or maybe I have been noticing it for the last week or so but it really stood out today. We, your children, know who you say that we are but we have a hard time really believing it. 

You have told us we are a Royal Priesthood that we are above and not beneath, that we are children of the most high God, set apart and made holy. You have told us that we are destined to succeed and that everything we do will prosper. 

These are all promises you have for us and how you see us. But, we very seldom see ourselves that way. I know so many beautiful (inside and out) women who feel worthless most of the time. I know so many men who are mighty men of God but who have been beaten down by life and are afraid that they will never be who they "should" be so they just stop trying all together. And, you know that I don't see me right. 

God I pray and ask that you give us new eyes to see. I pray and ask that you help us to see ourselves as you see us. I believe that with this new found understanding of who we are, we will finally be able to accomplish the things that you have for us and the things that are on our hearts. 

What God Said Tonight:

The problem is that you are looking in the wrong places to see who you are. You are looking in the mirror of society, the mirror of those around you, you are looking in mirrors that make comparisons. Your worth is not dependent on the worth of those around you. Your worth is determined by me. 

You know how it is. You think your house is a fine house to live in until you go to a friend's house and see how well they live. Suddenly your house isn't good enough. It is the same thing when you start to compare yourself to others. 

Your only yardstick should be me. Your only concern should be "What does God think of me?" I know there is the popular saying of WWJD (What would Jesus do?). I would ask that you think of it a bit differently  Ask "What would God think of me doing...?" You know how I think, you know what I think of you, use those as your guides and your measuring sticks for who you are and how you are doing. 

The only one watching is me and I love you more than you will know. A big part of life is learning to see yourself. An even bigger part of life is learning to see me. When you begin to see me in you, you have it made! Love you so much.

Distractions...

My prayer:

There is nothing better than hanging out with you God. Your presence makes everything better. Your Spirit brings a peace and a joy that is beyond explanation. Your power gives me an assurance and a hope that you can handle anything that comes my way.

I want to be more aware of you in the everyday moments of life. I want to be more aware of your presence in my life. I want others to see you in me no matter where I am or what I am doing. I love you God. Thank you for being in my life and in me.

What God Said Tonight:

The distractions of life are so numerous that it makes for tough competition for your attention. To experience me and my presence more, cut down on the distractions. Turn off the cell phone. Turn off the computer. Turn off the television. 

Remove at least one distraction during each day and you will see more of me. Clear out the hallways of your mind and of your life. Decrease the clutter and you will be better able to see me and be with me. 

I am here. I am always with you and will never leave you. But sometimes the distractions get between us and make it hard to see. There is nothing wrong in the distractions themselves except that they keep you form me. 

Love you and can't wait to spend more time together with fewer distractions.

Ordained and chosen...

My prayer:

What a perfect night God! This week was a little rough but tonight made up for it and then some! Great work out, yummy dinner and then intense and wonderful prayer and worship with some of my most favorite people! Your presence was so thick tonight God. Thank you for all that you did and thank you for being there with us, guiding directing, helping, loving  healing, and just being wonderful you! LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

What God Said Tonight:

I have a purpose and a plan in every thing in your life. There are no accidents and no coincidences in your life. There are only blessings and opportunities. There are only moments of joy and moments to learn from 

I have ordained you as my child and a Royal Priest. You will walk on the horizon and see my miracles transform the world. You will see the new heaven and the new earth. You will see the remnant and you will see the dead coming back to life. 

I have chosen you for this time and I have equipped you to be a part of it. I have shown you many thins with more to come. 

Your willingness, your faithfulness and your love have made a way for you and for your family that will serve you well.

I love you daughter and I am ready to take you to into the next level.

God has got this...

My prayer:

You ALWAYS work it all out. No matter what "it" is. That is what amazes me about you. That is why I am so grateful for you and that is why I can't imagine life without you my wonderful Lord! 

Without you my life would be an endless stream of hopeless fear. With you, my life is an everlasting assurance of hope. I see you handle things time and time again in my life and in the lives around me and it gives me complete assurance in your ability to handle any and every situation. Living with you and with that assurance is FANTASTIC!!! 

Thank you for choosing me God. I would be lost without you.

What God Said Tonight:

I got it all handled. Go sleep the sound sleep of someone with no worires.

The truth hurts...

My prayer:

Awesome God! What a night of harsh but real truth! Thank you God for discernment, wisdom, and  friends who are willing to look truth in the face, no matter how ugly. God, I pray that you help me to make the changes I need to make. Help me to be a better person. Help me to be the person you created me to be. Thank you...and ouch! :)

What God Said Tonight:

Yes, the truth hurts but lies hurt more and they hurt for a longer time. 

You have new eyes to see and new ears to hear. Don't let your eyes and ears get clouded because the the truth is hard. 

Now is the time to step up to the next level. Now is the time to be more than you were yesterday. Now is the time to step into the destiny I have called you to. Their is no room in that destiny for anything that is not truth. 

I love you daughter, just the way you are. But, I know that you will be happier, more fulfilled, better able to do all that you want to do if you face these truths and move  into your new season. 

Now is the time.

God's worldwide tour...

My prayer:

Amazing Father. I thought I was going to talk to you tonight about the disillusionment with everything that has been going on. But then, as I was signing on to the blog, I saw that over 10,000 people have clicked on and read the entry that you called "A day in the life of God...". That is AMAZING God! That tells me that there are A LOT of people who want to know you. That tells me that we have not lost our hunger for you. And THAT IS AWESOME!!!

I get discouraged sometimes when I look at what is happening around me. I start to think there is no hope for us. Then, I see something like that and realize that there are still people here who love you and people who are curious about you.

God I pray that every last person who is curious about you have a personal experience of you tonight. I know it is a lot to ask but you are a big God. I pray that you sweep across the globe and give every last person who wants to know you, a personal experience of your love for them, tonight. 

Wooo!! Can't wait to see what you do God!!!

What God Said Tonight:

I like that prayer daughter., I will sweep the world and everyone who is seeking me will find e. Everyone who looks for me and wants to know me will experience me, tonight.
