Not good enough...

My prayer:

Hi God! I have been putting this off tonight because I am not sure what to talk about. I have been on a bit of a roller coaster today. 

There were great new opportunities, like partnering with the Mission, which was awesome. When I stay focused on that, I am excited and grateful. Then, all of a sudden, I start doubting myself. I start thinking, who am I to think I can do any of this. I start thinking, I am not talented enough or good enough to do the things that you are putting in front of me. Then, I start telling myself to shut up, because it isn't me doing it anyway, it is you God. Then I feel bad because I yelled at myself which is a pretty stupid thing to do. So, I make myself think about all the amazing opportunities again and I get excited...and the cycle begins again. 

It is times like this that I feel like a bit of a basket case God. Do other people do this to themselves. Can you teach me how to stop it?

What God Said Tonight:

You ask if other people do this to themselves. Check out my written Word and you will see many examples of people doing exactly that. It isn't fun but there is purpose in it. 

Each time you go through this cycle, you learn how to lean on me more. The fact is you are completely right, you do not have what it takes to do what I have called you to do. If you did, you would not need me and would do it on your own. That would mean that you would get the glory and not me. That would mean that people would want to follow you and not me. That would put you in a very dangerous position filled with pride and ego and would result in your destruction. 

I will not let you be destroyed. that is why I will always call you to do more than you are capable of on your own. I will always call you to do things that you need me in order to complete them. That way, you get to be a part of amazing things but I get the glory. That way, you get to have great purpose and achievement in your life but it won't destroy you. That way, you get to help A LOT of people but you get to be you. 

When you begin to realize that I have called you to do more than you are capable of, celebrate and know that you have truly found my purpose and plan for you. Get excited to know that I will show up and I won't let you fall. Get excited and know that this is my perfect plan. I love you daughter. Trust me.

Under the surface...

My prayer:

Awesome God. I was bored today God. Maybe just because everyday for a while now has been so exciting, normal felt boring? I am not sure, but it felt like the whole day just dragged on. I don't feel like I helped anyone today. There wasn't anything bad that happened...just...blah. 

A very smart woman who happens to be my mom told me that I should be grateful for quiet days like this to recover from the excitement that you usually fill my life with. She is right I am sure; however, you know me. I am easily bored and there are few things that I dislike more than being bored.

Ok, I am done whining. Thanks for listening and putting up with me God. 

What God Said Tonight:

There was plenty happening today my daughter, it was just a little less obvious than usual. 

You know how when you are on the shore looking out at a quiet bay, the ocean looks so quiet and like nothing is happening in it? But, when you jump in and put your head under water you realize it is teaming with life. You realize there is a whole world of life that is happening that you didn't even know about when you looked at it from the shore. That is how today was. There was plenty happening, it was just under the surface. 

Keep doing what I have told you to do. Be faithful and you will see the great things and the things that are under the surface. Love you my daughter.

You are worthy...

My prayer:

You are too good to me God and I love it!! I am in awe of how you turned things around today at work. When I started that call, all they could was talk about how it was impossible for them to contract with us based on their policies and then, one hour later, they were so excited to work with us that they wanted to start sending all of their work through us. Only you God. 

People around me don't understand and I can see why. I am living it and I have a hard time believing it sometimes. You are so very good to me!!! Sure, we have our tough times too; but you always bring me back here where I have favor that I don't deserve. 

How do I let people around me understand and believe that this blessed life is not just for me? I don't think I am very good at that part yet. How do I get them to understand that you really want to bless all of your children this way?

What God Said Tonight:

My daughter, if I could I would tell you. I have been shouting my desire to bless my children from the dawn of time. And, since that time, they have had trouble hearing and believing it. Even back in the garden of Eden. All I wanted to do is bless them. I wanted them to have every good thing and yet, they couldn't believe that and had to take the thing, the one thing, that would hurt them.

It is hard to bless someone who doesn't believe they are worth being blessed. If I could tell you anything, it would be that. Help people feel worth being blessed and then help them to receive the blessing. Don't get me wrong. No one can earn my blessing. However, when they feel completely unworthy of being blessed, it blocks them from being able to receive what I want to give them. 

Help them to see their worth in me. Help them to see how beautiful they are. Help them to see how smart they are. Help them to see that they are worth more than gold and precious gems. They are the apple of my eye and I love them so much. Help them to see that and then they can receive the blessings.

I love you for trying.

Coincidence...

My prayer:

Today was really wonderful God. I think the theme had to be coincidences...that weren't really  coincidences. The way you work things together is fascinating!!! I loved the treasure hunt outreach and how it led us to so many people that needed a touch from you. I loved the new people I got to meet. I am still smiling over the unusual connection to my past with the one introduction...can't wait to see what you do with that one! Whoever decided you do not have a sense of humor was WRONG!!! 

I love you like crazy God and if today was any indication, I really am going to LOVE this season!! 

What God Said Tonight:

Your future is so bright. I have so many wonderful points of light throughout the rest of your life and beyond. Look before you and see a landscape of lights. 

The thing is, in order to experience them, you have to move. You have to move forward and through them. Otherwise, they are just pretty lights in the distance. When you start to move into them you begin to experience them. You feel their heat. You see their source and you get to have the full experience. 

Move into the lights, the blessings I have for you. Take courage and walk into the future I have for you. Don't stay on the ledge looking over the wonders and wishing you could experience them. Jump in and see, feel, hear, everything I have for you. I will not let you fall. I will bless you. 

I really do have it all worked out. Your coincidence was in my plan. Jump in.

Spring and miracles...

My prayer:

Awesome and powerful God. My thoughts are really on tomorrow. Thank you for the amazing opportunity to pray for people tomorrow. Thank you for the opportunity to see you do amazing things in people's lives. God I pray that you cover us so thick in your anointing that every where we go, there is an open heaven, miracles from you and hope. God, make us a blessing to everyone we touch. Prepare their hearts God to receive what you have for them. I am EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What God Said Tonight:

Spring is here. You can see evidence of it everywhere you go. There are beautiful flowers and that special spring green that is unlike any other green in the world. You know it is Spring because all of the evidence, the things you see, the things you smell, the things you hear, and the things you feel all tell you it is Spring. 

This is also the season for miracles. My seasons are no different. You will know they are here by the evidence. You will see, you will hear, you will smell, you feel the evidence of this season of miracles. 

I have often told you that you are going to see things you could not have imagined. Get ready. That season is here. Have the courage to walk through this season with your eyes, ears and everything else open. Experience every minute of it. Don't try to find explanations. Just experience and receive what I have prepared for you. It is going to be truly awesome and I am excited too!

Hiding from God...

My prayer:

Wow God, what can I say. I am just reveling in your presence and your complete wonderfulness tonight. Nights like tonight when your presence is so heavy and thick, when the world disappears and it is just you and me...WOW! I love these times. What is on your mind? What do you want to talk about?

What God Said Tonight:

Seek and you will find me. I do not hide from you. You hide from me sometimes, just like Adam and Eve did, but I don't hide from you. 

It is possible for us to live in constant connection. It is possible for this presence that you are aware of tonight can be with you always. Or, let me clarify, it is with you always but there is a way for you to be aware of it. I am with you always. My presence doesn't change. My anointing doesn't change. I am not powerful one day and not powerful the next. 

I AM. That does not change. What changes is your attention to me. What changes is what you are paying attention to. Take time for me. Take time to recognize and experience my presence in your life. Take time to see the beauty I have surrounded you with. Turn off your phone, your computer, your TV, and just be with me more. It will bless me and it will bless you. 

You often ask what you can give me. All I really want is your time and your heart. All I really want is to spend time with you where you are fully aware of me. I want to be important in your life like you are important to me. I love you my sweet daughter. Feel that, know that, and experience that more. It will give you the confidence for the nest seaso\n.

The power of decisions and choices...

My prayer:

Amazing God. I was having a conversation with someone today and it got me thinking. I think, if we are paying attention to the people we are hanging out with, working with, surrounded with, we can see either the kind of person that we are or the kind of person we are going to turn into. If that is true, we can choose the type of person we are going to be by choosing the people we surround ourselves with. 

In the specific case today, we were talking about a particular job that requires the person to be constantly suspicious of the people they are talking to. We were talking about someone who was successful in that job and she assumes everyone is lying to her unless they can prove differently. It is one of the things that make her so good at her job. But, I thought and told my friend, "Do you really want to be that person? Do you want to assume that everyone is lying?" 

It kind of hit me then, I think we, I, have a lot more control or ability to decide who I am and who I am going to be than I may have ever realized. "I am who I am, get used to it." is not really a true statement. I think the thing is, we get to choose who we are, either consciously or subconsciously. The good part of that is if we don't like who we are, we can choose to be different. 

Sorry to yammer on. Just something I was thinking about. The most obvious application of this is when we choose to live our lives for you. That one choice alone changes us and we become a "new man." 

Thank you for giving us the gift of choice and free will God. 

What God Said Tonight:

You are making choices every moment of every day, whether you realize it or not. Your life is a constant stream of choices. Even when you choose not to choose, you are making a choice. Learning how to make good choices, choices that help you to prosper and get closer to me, that is the goal. That is one of the main reasons for life. Learning to make good choices. 

Choose life. That sounds so easy and in some ways it is. When you are faced with a choice, choose the way that brings life to the situation. The choice that will result in the growth and prospering of everyone involved. Pick the thing that is in agreement with my Word and you will see it prosper. Everything I have told you, every edict I have given, was given because it is the way to life. I don't set rules just to be a taskmaster and punish you when you miss the boat. I give you rules because they can help you to make good decisions. Decisions for life. Decisions that will leave you in a better place than you were before the decision.

I love you and only want the best for you. I only want my best for you. Choose my best.
