The History: A couple of years ago, I started journaling my prayers and God's responses to them. I told my friends about this, they were really interested. I told my Pastor about it and he said, how about sharing those on line. When I asked God, He said, my words are for you, but not just for you. And, here we are...I hope He speaks to you in these words.
My prayer:
Awesome God. I have a burning desire in my heart tonight. I can't stop thinking about it. God, I want every person on the earth to get the opportunity to experience your amazing presence. Not just hear about you. Not just learn about you. Not just pray in faith. But, I want everyone to have the chance to experience you love, your power, your presence and be changed by it.
God, there is nothing like your presence. I know we always talk about preaching the gospel in every corner of the earth and when that has happened, rapture. But, this thing that I have been feeling all day is a little different. I want people everywhere to get the opportunity to experience that free and amazing worship that we had last night. I want them to come to expect you to show up. I want them to come to expect your promises to come true in their lives. I want them to know you, really know you.
What can I do? How can I help?
What God Said Tonight:
Well my dear, I asked to you to look into your heart and ask for your heart's desire. Looks like you have. I love this one too. I want to be present and real in the lives of every one of my children here on earth. I want to show them my power. I want them to experience my love which is so great for them. I want all of those things very much too.
We have one thing that is stopping it. People have their own will. I will not bust into someone's life who hasn't invited me. But, for everyone who is ready, for everyone who is willing to let me in, I am here, ready and willing. I will get as close as they will allow.
I am showing you the big crowd worship that I have shown you before. You know the one. Thousands of people, outside, it goes on for days. Miracles, joy, love, power and healing. That is a real time and a real place you will see it in your lifetime. You will see my power covering thousands at a time. You will see healing wash like a wave over crowds. You will see people worshiping in spirit and in truth with freedom and joy. You will see it.
I will give you this and anything else that is burning in your heart. I love you daughter. Keep dreaming and I will keep providing.
My prayer:
Mmmm, My God, I am without words. A beautiful night of worship with you and with your people. A night of miracle healing. A night of your anointing flowing and moving in brand new ways. A night of prophecy and renewed hope. A night of filling up with your strength. Thank you. That is a very inadequate response God, but thank you. You filled my heart, mind, soul, and spirit tonight and I am resting in your arms in peace and joy.
What God Said Tonight:
You mustn't thank me for nights like tonight. You must understand that nights like tonight, when you get together in pure worship of me, believing that I can and will do anything, when you love each other, when you worship in spirit and in truth, when you welcome my Holy Spirit in, when you do everything I ask even when it doesn't make sense, those are nights that bless me as much or more than they do you.
You, all of you, were a blessing to me tonight. You were a balm of joy to my Spirit. You were an encouragement to my soul. You were a ray of hope in darkness.
I love you daughter and I love these nights when you get together and truly focus on me. Rest in this place of joy and peace that you created by inviting me in and worshiping me in spirit and in truth. I will remain with you.
My Prayer:
What an amazing revelation tonight God through Bill Johnson. You really do care about what we want. You really do want to give me the desires of my heart. Not just the desires that I want because I love you and I want the things that you want but also, the things that I simply want.
The temple in Jerusalem was built not because you wanted it but because of the desire of King David's heart. You chose a man to be king over your people. David is the one who wanted a physical home for you. If he hadn't wanted it, you may never have asked for more than the tent. That is amazing! Something as big as the temple that has effected so many lives been involved in so much conflict and so much power only exists because you wanted to give your child the desires of his heart. That is really amazing to me.
I am going to have to really think about this God.
What God Said Tonight:
You are getting it. You are not quite there but you are getting it. I want you to want and to desire. I want to give to you.
You have not because you ask not. I said that I meant it.
Why do you think you are having such trouble with the personal prayer/big wish list for your group? You pray for others. You pray for my will to be done. Those are both great things to pray for. Now, pray for yourself. Look deep in your heart and ask me for what you most desire. Not the things that you think you want because of other people. Not things that you see other with and you covet. But, look deep in your heart and ask me for what you find there.
Don't be afraid. I will not disappoint. But look deep and be sure of what you ask. I will give you what you ask for, so be careful.
My prayer:
Awesome, conqueror God. I think this season that I am in is about taking authority that you have given to me and standing in faith that what you say is truth, even when it comes to my own body. Literally commanding the natural to come into obedience with your truth God.
Thank you for what you are teaching me God. Is not easy, but even in the middle of it, I can see the benefit. Thank you God for loving me enough to not leave me where I am but to teach me and help me grow. I am yours forever God.
What God Said Tonight:
Are you up for this next season? Are you really up for all that I have for you? This next season is going to be more than you can imagine.
There are blessings and curses and you will have to rightly choose. There is life and death and you must rightly choose. This next season will have many turns, many decisions. You will follow me and use all that you have learned. You will see great danger but you will see great glory. There is so much that I want to show you, so much that I want to do with you. There is so much. Are you ready?
I am giving you the choice. I will not force you, especially in this. I will only take you as far as you want to go. I can promise great joy, great blessing. But, I can guarantee great struggle and danger. Can you trust me enough in the danger?
When you are ready, make your choice. It will be the first of many. Choose wisely.
My prayer:
My conquering God. Thank you for battling for me in trouble today. Thank you for people standing in faith with me in the battle. Thank you God for being my rescue. I love you and I am humbled and grateful.
What God Said Tonight:
The battle is not over but I have set up a guard around you. I have built a wall of protection around you. I have stationed my warring angels outside of the wall and on top of the wall. I have created a safe place for you through the battle.
I am your protection and I am your refuge. I will protect you forever. Wait inside the walls for the battle to end. When it is all clear, I will let you know and we will go out and conquer the next things.
I love you daughter and I will not see you harmed. I will turn everything for your good.
My prayer:
Thank you God for teaching me about being correctable. I lived so much of my life getting defensive when people were critical instead of looking to see what truth there might be in their criticism. As you know, I still struggle with it at times.
Looking at others, I can see how much better all of our lives could be if we were able to listen to and change as a result of criticism that is given in love. I watched a dear friend lose their job today and it was because she could not hear the critical feedback she had been given. Instead, she got defensive and came up with all of the reasons that it was not her fault.
How many times have I done that God? How many opportunities have I missed out on because I was too proud to receive correction?
God, you have brought me a long way in this but help me to be even better. Help me to be like King David, who even when he was King over all of Israel immediately repented and turned from sin as soon as someone, anyone, pointed it out to him. He didn't get defensive. He didn't get angry. He just looked at it honestly, took responsibility, repented and asked for forgiveness. I want to be like that God.
I love you Jesus. Thank you for your forgiveness.
What God Said Tonight:
Sometimes it is easier for people to look at themselves in the mirror when they ignore the flaws within them. However, the true reflection will always come through in the end. You cannot lie to yourself forever. Truth will always prevail in the end.
I don't say this to be harsh. Hear it with the love that I am sending it on. It is because I love you that I won't let you lie to yourself forever. It is because of my love that truth must be known.
Seek me and you are seeking truth. Truth can be harsh but it is always the best in the end. Face your flaws today and you will be less flawed tomorrow. True growth comes from the recognition of and direct combat with your flaws.
I love you and you are perfect to me. You are covered in the blood and I see you as whole and beautiful. You are a royal priesthood and you are my beautiful bride. I see you as whole. Being open to correction brings your daily experience into closer alignment with my view of you. I love you, now and forever.
My prayer:
Awesome God. I believe we are on the cusp of a great change and a great new journey. Times of change are exciting and you know me, I love the next new thing. But they are kind of frightening too. What if I get it wrong? What if I miss your voice and make the wrong choices? What if I miss what you have for me?
Those are my fears God. I know that you have good plans for me and for us. I don't doubt that you have plans and I don't doubt that they are good. I sometimes doubt my ability to know what you want and to make the right decisions.
God, please give me wisdom and understanding to make the right decisions. Guide me always God.
What God Said Tonight:
You don't need to worry. I am speaking and you are hearing and you will make the right choices. Not because you are perfect; but, because I am. You have your heart set on my heart. You want the things I have planned for you. That means that you will make the right choices.
I will help you of course. I want you to make the right choices. I want you to experience all that I have for you. I am not going to try to trick you so you miss it. I allow you to go through tests but I always play fair. I will never try to trick you.
You hear my voice, you see the patterns in the messages, you have done everything I have asked you and a few more things. Our next adventure together is awesome. That is why there is so much opposition against you right now. The opposition is not because you are making wrong choices. The opposition is because the enemy is scared, again. You scare him because I am in you and because you are after my heart.
You declared war a couple of weeks ago. The enemy will not lay down and surrender but it will be defeated. You have me on your side. I love you daughter. Soldier on.
