The History: A couple of years ago, I started journaling my prayers and God's responses to them. I told my friends about this, they were really interested. I told my Pastor about it and he said, how about sharing those on line. When I asked God, He said, my words are for you, but not just for you. And, here we are...I hope He speaks to you in these words.
My prayer:
All knowing God. My heart is hurting for "A" and "K" tonight whose unborn baby went to live with you today. I know you will take special care of their baby. I know they are going to get to meet her someday.
My own death doesn't scare me a bit, but it is just so hard for those of us left behind when someone we love goes to be with you. My God, I am so grateful that you have redeemed us and that because of that we get to live on forever in heaven with you. I am so grateful for that. I can't imagine how horrible it would be to try to deal with this kind of thing without that.
God, help me/us to see "death" like you do. Help us to truly understand it is not a permanent end. Help us to remember that the separation, for those who are covered by your blood and sacrifice, is only temporary. God, let that comfort my dear friends tonight and in the coming days. I pray God that you give them peace. I pray God that you cover them with a complete blanket of love tonight to heal the missing piece of their heart.
Thank you God for being our comforter. In Jesus name.
What God Said Tonight:
Healing is not just for the body. Sometimes, the healing you need is for your heart, your mind, your spirit. Sometimes the wounds are so deep that only I can heal them. I hate it when you hurt. I hate it when my children hurt. I save your tears for a reason. You are so precious to me and I want to capture every hurt, every pain and heal it for you.
I am with your friends tonight, even now. I love them and I will be there for them throughout he healing time. I am the Great Physician and I will heal them.
Share your tears with them. Be the hands, the feet, the arms that I cannot be for them right now. Love them as a reflection of my love.
This too, as hard as it seems, is something that I will turn around for them. I will not leave them. I do not abandon my children in pain, even when they sometimes abandon me. I am still right there ready when they are.
I love you. Let me bandage you when you hurt and heal you when you are damaged. Let me have my way during tragedy and it won't turn out like you thought it would. I can turn any situation around, including death. I have all power and I am not limited by the circumstance. I love you and I will always heal you, no matter what this world throws at you. Lean into me and rest while I take care of it all.
My prayer:
Awesome God. I am stuck dwelling on missed opportunities tonight. Someone once told me that judgement day for Christians would be you showing us all of the missed opportunities in our lives, all the things that could have been. I hope that isn't true God. That would be a pretty horrible thing to see I think. I make myself half crazy thinking about the missed opportunities that I am aware of. I can't imagine how much worse it would be to see the ones I didn't even realized that I missed! Then I start to wonder, maybe I was suppose to miss that opportunity. Maybe I didn't miss the boat, maybe it was your will that I pass that one up...but then that is probably wishful thinking.
God I thank you that you turn everything to the good of those who love you and are called according to your purpose. God I pray that somehow you turn this missed opportunity to my good. If it was an opportunity you meant for me to take and I missed it, I apologize and I will try to listen better next time.
God, please fix the things I mess up and help me to do better next time. I can't get it right on my own and I need you if this life of mine is going to turn out the way you intended it to.
Thank you God for all that you do and all that you are. Thank you for taking care of me. Thank you for filling in when I mess up.
What God Said Tonight:
My daughter, the best thing you said there was that you can't get it right on your own. That is truth. That is why I came. That is why I sacrificed my life for you. I knew and I know that you can't do it alone. You weren't designed to.
Stop worrying so much about what you should have done or what your life should be and enjoy what it is. I will take care of everything. You don't have everything you want yet but that doesn't mean that you won't have it in the future. If you had everything right now, there would be no need for tomorrow. You would not have anything to look forward to.
Be content for right now. Worry less and trust me more. You have prayed, I have heard you. I already have a plan and purpose working in your life, so relax and enjoy today. Enjoy tonight.
I love you so very much. You will have all of the very best, you just may not have it all right this second. Rest, be content in knowing that you have much and more will be given. You are the daughter of the most high God who takes care of His children.

What a wonderful day God! I had forgotten how wonderful it is doing outreach on the streets. It has been too long! Thank you for the opportunity. Thank you for bringing together the amazing team. Thank you for all the free BAGELS! You really did have all the details worked out.
We met some wonderful people today. Most everyone of them talked about wanting to make better decisions or not knowing what to do. All had experienced loss.
God, I just continue to lift up each and every need to you. I pray that you restore "P" and all that was taken from him. I pray that you guide and direct "D", "J" and "R." I pray God that you continue to tug on "R's" heart until she realizes that you are the one and only true God. And God, all of the others, spoken and unspoken needs, I pray and ask that you meet each and every one so that their lives are changed as a result of coming into contact with you. I can't wait to see what you will do in their lives!
God I praise and thank you. You get all the glory and honor. I am yours forever.
What God Said Tonight:
You know they say the sky is the limit, but I say there are no limits with me. You can go to the sky and beyond and never reach the limit of what I can and will do for you.
I will cross any distance to be with you. I will bust through any barrier to find you. I will fight anyone and anything to protect you. I will do whatever it takes to be with you.
My love is a burning passion for you. I have always wanted you. I am your Father and your teacher. I am your healer and your guide. I am your provider and your redeemer. I am the answer to every problem and the fulfiller of every need. I am everything you need and everything you want.

Awesome God, I want to pray over our outreach tomorrow. It has been awhile since we have hit the streets. I pray God that it is everything that you want it to be. I pray God that you draw in every person that you want us to talk to. I pray God for your strength and your protection for the team.
I pray that the water quenches thirst, the food satisfies hunger, and the message saves souls. We do this for you and your people God. I pray that you help us to make a difference. Speak through us, shine through us God. Change people's lives tomorrow God. In Jesus name.
What God Said Tonight:
I hear you and I will of course be with you tomorrow. I am always with you. When you are speaking in my name, how much more am I with you. I love you daughter and tomorrow will be everything I had intended it to be. It will bless. It will bless the people there, the people ministering, you, and me. Tomorrow is a day of blessing. You don't have to worry about a single detail. It is going to be more than you have imagined.
You know how most of today you were hiking but not on trails. You were blazing your own trail. Did that remind you of anything? It was a parable of your life right now. You might run into game trails along the way that you can follow but this is uncharted territory you are going into. There is no right way and there is no wrong way. There is only my way.
Seek me daily and I will guide you along the way. You might run into some really rocky and treacherous areas. Sometimes you will have to turn back and back track for awhile, but I will always find the way out for you. I will always find you the safe path to the destination we have set. I love you and I am with you always. Stay close and follow me.

Amazing God! After a full day at work and a full night of worshiping you with friends...I am wiped out and falling asleep sitting up. But, I can't go to bed without hearing your voice What is on your mind tonight? I love you God!!
What God Said Tonight:
Walk in the glory of my presence and people will follow. Watch for the leading of my Spirit and you will travel far. You are made for greatness and I will complete what I have started.
I have such a plan and a purpose that you will not believe. You can believe that it is all coming together for your good. You are a bright star, my shining lighthouse and I have prepared you to shine.
You shine brightest when you humble yourself and lift others to the position of visibility. You shine brightest when you help others to shine. You are meant to ignite those around you to shine. You are meant to teach them how. You are meant for so many things that you would not believe me even if I laid them all out right here and right now.
I will show you every step and I will lead and guide you always. I will never let you wander with out direction of purpose. We have too much to do. You will not walk this path alone either. You will always be surrounded by love. Relax, receive my blessings, reach out to others, you can and rely on me for everything.

My prayer:
Mighty God and love of my life. I have been consumed all day God with the wonder of being loved. Being loved by you and being loved by amazing people in my life. At the end of the day, that is all that really matters. When all is said and done, I bet the only things that will matter is how much love I was able to give and how much love I received.
Better than money, better than property, better than accomplishments, love is better.
Thank you God for surrounding me with love. Help me to love others better. Help me to love you better. Help me to remember with at least the level of clarity that I do right now, that love is all that really matters.

Thank you for an amazing night with my small group family. Those people really know how to love. How did I get to be so blessed to be put in the middle of them? How did I get to be so blessed to be a part of your ministry? How did I get to be so blessed to be able to talk to the most high God? How did I get to be so blessed to hear you speak? How did I get so blessed God? I know I don't deserve any of it. Your grace and mercy are phenomenal God! Thank you for blessing me! Thank you for being a blessing! Thank you God!!!
What God Said Tonight:
You are blessed so you can be a blessing. You are favored so you can favor others. You are my lighthouse remember. Shine for me. Let people see the blessed life you live with me. Let people see what blessings they can have. Let is shine.
I bless you for a lot of reasons. First, because I love you. Second, because I can't really help myself. Third, because I need you to be that lighthouse, that example to the world of what a relationship with me can be like.
Fact is I love you too much not to bless you. I couldn't do it. Can you imagine loving someone and never giving them anything, never doing anything for them? I might have to challenge whether you really loved them if you never gave to them. My blessing your life is a natural consequence of my intense love for you.
