Waves...

My prayer:

Friday night, nearly May and we have a bit of a blizzard roaring outside. I love when life is unpredictable! 

I don't know what tomorrow will bring God but I know I will face it with you and that is enough. Anywhere with you is better than anywhere without you. 

My thoughts are kind of all over the place tonight God. Flitting around and not settling on any one thing. I feel unsettled. Maybe it is just the odd weather? I am not sure but I think I would be better off listening to what you have to say instead of blathering on with nonsense words and thoughts.

What God Said Tonight:

When it rains it pours. It is a saying but it is true. The happenings of your life, the themes, come at you in waves. Just about the time you think you have handled one, another once comes right behind it. 

The only way you mange the waves is to ride on them. If you sink into them, you will drown. You have to ride on top. The way to get on top is to reach for me. I will lift you up. 

Don't wish for the storms to leave your life. They often bring just what you need. They bring the moisture for the next season. But yo can and should ask for my help to rise above. From up here, the storm does not look so bad. 

I love you and I am with you now and forever.

Stop and listen...

My prayer:

My brain is done for today God. I can't think of a thing worth talking about. But, my ears are always open to hear you. 

What God Said Tonight:

I have a lot to say but the time for saying it is running low. It is crossroads time. Time to make choices. Your  choices determine your future. 

Your future is with me. 

Never forget to stop and listen for my voice during the day. 

Wholeness...

My prayer:

A better day thanks to you God. Do we ever get to a point where we are satisfied, no matter the circumstances? Can I ever get to a point where I am so solid in your presence in me that the world, satan, and general nastiness can't reach me? To get to a point where I can say, "I call it all joy." That would be amazing. 

I pray God that you help me to be more aware of your presence in me. Let me feel you, see you, touch you, whatever you will allow God. Your presence in me makes me worthwhile.

What God Said Tonight:

A place of wholeness. Wholeness of body, mind and spirit. That is what you seek and that is what you will have. 

I came to make my people whole. 

I came so that you could live. 

I came for you. 

The frustration of waiting...

My prayer:

I am not proud of myself today God. I let anger and frustration get the better of me. I got angry with people I care about. I let stupid things get me frustrated. 

I made apologies God but I need your grace and mercy to cover me and help me to do better tomorrow. 

Thank you Jesus for covering my sin.

What God Said Tonight:

Waiting on me is never fun, You know to wait, but how long?

There is a little stretch more. Nothing more than you can handle. I am here and with you in this, now and always.

This week...

My prayer:

Awesome God. I pray for your help to see the purpose in this week coming up. Help me to see the opportunities to be a blessing. Help me to see your direction and you plan. 

God, I pray that this not be just an ordinary week. Let this week be extraordinary. 

Thank you Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

Waves of trouble, pain, joy, blessings they rush in and they rush back out. Yet you still stand firm rooted in me. Your standing, your roots are what keep you from being swept away. 

I won't let go. You are mine and I am yours forever. 

We will walk the path of mercy and grace together. We will see people healed. We will see people saved. We will see the new heaven and the new earth. It may not all happen this week but parts of all of it will happen this week.

Unity...

My prayer:

What a wonderful lazy day God. Thank you for the privileged of doing nothing but enjoying life for a day. Life doesn't always allow for that. 

It seems like the theme from tonight was family members in need. I pray tonight for our families. So many people who need healing, direction, financial help, peace and so much more. You created us to be in relationship and our first relationship is usually with our family. I pray that your will be done in our families.

What God Said Tonight:

It's time to realize that your life is not your own and that you are not alone. There is an inter-connectedness within my Kingdom that is very real and permanent. 

I created you for strength and for independence but today is not the day for it. Today is the day of unity. Today is the day of family. Today is the day to come together and speak with one voice and one purpose. 

The coming of my Son is very near. The bride needs unity. Find your commonalities. Find ways to come together.  It is up to you.

Look to God...

My prayer:

My awesome God. Two nights where I was too wiped out to spend this time with you so tonight, before it gets to late, I want to be sure to take the time. I have missed hanging out with you like this.

I am very grateful for all that you did for me this week. It was pretty amazing how you turned everything around. Early in the week, I was pretty discouraged and it seemed like everything was going wrong. But, then you did your thing and turned everything around. I love that about you!

Ok, enough about me. What is on your mind tonight?

What God Said Tonight:

Sometimes life can feel like wearing heavy robes in the ocean. It seems like everything is working against you and trying to drag you down. But, when you look to me, when you lean on me, when you trust me, I can free you from the weigh of the world and let you soar to the surface.

Look to me and let me free you. Let me heal you. Let me lift you up to where you can breath and see the sun again.

I love you and I am always here for you. Just look up.
