Childlike faith...

My prayer:

So many years God of seeking for approval and love. And now, I am just now realizing, that your approval and love has been there for me the whole time. Not because of anything I did or didn't do but because of who you are and what you did at the cross for me. 

All I need to do is accept it. It so simple it is hard. It doesn't fit with how I think about life, reality, you. But, it is true. I know it to the depth of my soul that it is true.

I am ready to walk in the freedom that comes with receiving your new covenant God. I am ready to fully accept all that you have provided for me. I understand that I don't earn your approval or love. I understand that you are 100% on my side no matter what. I am determined to live the rest of my life in that truth.

What God Said Tonight:

You are getting it my child. You are beginning to understand the truth of the new covenant.

Remember when I said that you should come to me like a child. I meant that in many ways. One of the ways is directly related to this. A child has not learned cause and effect. A child has not yet learned that certain behaviors result in certain things.

It takes the faith of child to believe that I paid for all of your sin. It takes the faith of a child to understand what it means to be completely forgiven so that your sins are forgotten. Watch a child, once they have misbehaved, and have been punished or gotten away with it, they move on. They don't dwell over it.

I am sending an anointing to you tonight for childlike faith. With it, you will see the truth of what I have for you.

Truth in love...

My prayer:

Awesome God. I don't have the time or energy to spend on anything that is not your truth and that is not real. I don't want to "play" at being a Christian and going through the motions that look good. I want you, I want all of you, unfettered by the trappings of religion that we have placed on you.

I pray that your truth is revealed in every situation. Where we, where I am being deceived, make it plain. Where I have been misled, show me your truth. Where I have followed a path that is not your plan, correct my path. 

I am yours, now and forever.

What God Said Tonight:

Sharing the truth in love. You have heard me say this many times. But, I want you to listen to it in a new way tonight. Share the truth in love. Truth is in love. Love is the one real truth when that love comes from me.

Your quest for truth, for purpose, for joy, for me is summarized in one constant, love. I loved you so I made it possible for you to be completely redeemed and made perfect in my sight. I loved you you before you were born. I love you.

The more you receive my love, the better you become at loving me and loving others. My love in you creates beauty, peace, healing, and joy that cannot be stopped.

It is that simple and that difficult.

Grateful heart...

My prayer:

It is pretty traditional but I can't help but be thankful to you God, today of all days. Thanksgiving is definitely one of my FAVORITE holidays. Family, friends, food, and grateful hearts. That is some really good stuff. 

Top ten things I am thankful for this year:

1. You in my life
2. Amazing friends and family who I get to love and who love me
3. Your blessing and favor on my life
4. The opportunity to give to people who need some help
5. Your healing power and living in divine health
6. This latest journey to better understand your grace and salvation in my life
7. Incredible mentors in my life that believe in me and help me to improve
8. Your call and purpose in my life
9. Time to rest and to play
10. My crazy but hilarious cat

I could also just list you ten times and it would be the same thing. Everything wonderful in my life is there because of you and I am so grateful! LOVE YOU.

What God Said Tonight:

Living with a grateful heart will feed your soul and bless the people around you. Living with a hard heart will steal from your soul and hurt the people around you. 

Your life, every life is a mix of blessings and cursings. It is the world you live in for now. However, you get to choose what you focus on and what increases. It is very much the same as the message that you have been hearing about focusing on your strengths. Instead of trying to fix your weaknesses all the time, you can focus on your strengths and utilizie them. When you do, you accomplish so much more. 

It is the same with a grateful heart. When you focus on the blessings, you can do more. It doesn't mean that there are not things in your life that are hard and are not how you want them. It does mean that you can see your life improve as you recognize with a grateful heart, all the blessings you have. 

I love you and I am thankful for you tonight. You are my magnificent child who is clothed in my righteousness. How could I be anything but grateful and in love with you?

My prayer:

God, you are so cool! The way you work things together is pretty amazing. 

I never cease to be astounded by you! I love when you let me see how you are working things out. I love it when you give me those behind the scene glimpses of your plan. I love being a part of what you are doing! 

Thank you, love you, in awe of you, My GOD!!!!

What God Said Tonight:

Peace. I bring you peace tonight. 

There has been so much striving in your life lately and it has been good. You are going to new levels and it is good. You are stretching and seeking me, which is good. 

But, for one day, twenty four hours, just rest in my peace. Let my peace envelop you. Let my peace guide you. 

I cover you in peace. Let the cover of my peace smother any worry. Let the cover of my peace drown out other voices. Snuggle in with me and rest.

Greatness...

My prayer:

Awesome God. I know it is not quite Thanksgiving yet but I find myself in a very thankful mood tonight. I am especially thankful tonight for the wonderful people you have put in my life. Amazing, talented, insightful, encouraging, loving, smart, and just plain wonderful people! Thank for surrounding me with your best kids God!

What God Said Tonight:

You are in a place that I have saved and determined for you. You can do great things from the place that I have put you. You can see the world changed. You can also do great harm if you choose to. 

I surround you with great people to help you be the best that you can be. I surround you with the best so you can strive for more. 

I have greatness stored in every child of mine. I placed it in them before they were born. When they partner with me it grows. Then I put you all together and wonderful things can happen. 

I love you and all of my wonderful children.

Perfect in Christ...

My prayer:

Pretty fantastic day of favor God! THANK YOU!! A new big contract, a very annoying 9 month project that was completed today, a great work out, and a good book. Nice combination of good stuff. 

I am still wrapping my head around your grace God. I have been thinking today about the fact that you don't see our sin. It is covered in Jesus sacrifice and when you look at us, you see His righteousness and forget our sin. All of it.

I have been trying to imagine what it would be like to not see our sin. Do you still see our sinful behaviors but the sin designation has been covered or do you literally not see it at all? Do you only see us as your redeemed kids, clothed in your righteousness? Just trying to understand.

What God Said Tonight:

I see you perfected in Christ. I see what you do but I have already paid the price. 

What you do is not my focus. What you do is already taken care of through your salvation. 

Who you are matters to me. I love you.

Different, weird, unique (DWU)...

My prayer:

Awesome Father. I need some insight tonight. Why do I get so passionate and so worked up about your truth? Most of the people I know are fine with the status quo and while they enjoy learning more about you, they don't let it drive them nuts. 

For me, when I learn a new truth, I have an intense need to make sure everyone I know understands that truth and I get upset when I can't explain it right. When I see truth, I need everyone to know it. I can't rest until I do everything I can to help them understand. 

As I read that, while it is not comfortable and makes me a bit crazy, maybe it is not a bad thing? Maybe that drive to help people understand your truth is a good thing? But, I don't think the way I approached it today was good. I get so passionate that most people see it as aggressive and it is probably hard for them to hear it.

I ask God that you give me the words and help me to say them in love so more people get to hear your good news and receive the truth of your grace. That is the only way it will really impact them anyway, if your Holy Spirit speaks through me. Help me God to weed through the distractions and keep to your simple truth of grace, mercy and salvation. And if there is anything that you need to change in me to see your truth shared, please feel free to change it. Love you God.

What God Said Tonight:

There are things about you that I designed. Things that I put in you, for a purpose and with a plan. Then there are things about you that are there as a result of the struggles and the experiences of your life. Those are things that I did not necessarily put in you but I can still use them. 

Stop worrying so much about why you are the way you are and start focusing on the good I can do with who you are. I can partner with you and find the right times, the right places and the right situations to ensure that you walking in your full purpose in me. I can match up all that is in you with the needs in my kingdom. 

The needs are many,  you are willing, I can do the math can get you into the right positions. 

Don't worry quite so much about being different. I can use different. It is your uniqueness that makes you perfect for this time and this season. I love you, just as you are. I have positioned you perfectly for what we need to do. I will talk and work through you to see my truth revealed like never before. And, of course, I love you too my daughter.
