God's guidance...

My prayer:

Awesome God. So many of us are so often seeking you for guidance. We want you to tell us what to do, where to work, who to marry, etc., etc. But, I think maybe we over think it too much? I think that what I hear from you is that you will guide us always and that you will turn all things to the good of those who love you and are called according to your purpose. If that is true I think that maybe I should spend more time trusting that you have things under control and less time worrying whether I am making the right decisions. Right? 

But even as I say that, I can hear doubt and fear saying, "But what if you get it wrong? What if you mess it all up? Then you are going to suffer. Do you want to suffer? You better make the right choices." 

God, help me to hear your voice over the voices of doubt and fear. Help me to trust more and worry less. Give me the confidence to know that you are guiding me and that with your help, you will lead me where I need to go and turn all things to my good.

Thank you Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

I was the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. Back when I was kept separate from my people because of sin, I had to guide them with obvious and outward manifestations of my power. 

Now, now that you have been redeemed and I am in you and you are in me, I don't have to do that any more. I can guide you from within. I can show you through your thoughts, your heart, your spirit, the choices that will work out best. Listen to me from within you and you will always know the choices to make. 

But, when you miss it,when you don't make the choice that I would have you make, you can still rest. I am still with you. I can still work it all out. Yes, there may be some earthly consequences to deal with but I will be with you even in those things. I will get you through,  and as you said, I will turn things around for your good. 

I am your loving Father and Lord and I will always take care of you. Trust my power and my omnipotence to lead your life. I am God and I will not let you down.

God's love...

My prayer:

Wonderful God, I am not really in the mood to talk tonight but always ready to listen. Thank you for such a wonderful and relaxing day!

What God Said Tonight:

I have a message for you tonight and it is not new but is is vital. 

I love you. Not just the kind of love that you experience every day with the people in our life but I love you with a love that has died for you. I love you with a love that comes from creating you. 

I am so into everything about you that I can't even express to you the depth of it. Sometimes you get a sense of it but my love for you is bigger and greater than you can ever know. 

If you could just understand that love, you would never worry, you would never doubt, you would never have another care for the rest of eternity because you would know that my love will never fail you. You would know that I will never allow you to suffer, I will always find a way out for you. My love will always be enough.

God is like the ocean...

My prayer:

What a wonderful night of worship God! I don't know why it still amazes me, but every time we slow down enough and focus on you, you do the most amazing things! Thank you for the words of wisdom, love and support tonight. Thank you for such amazing friendships and prayer partners. Thank you for always showing up and being amazing!!

What God Said Tonight:

You are like the pebbles and the sand on the beach and I am like the ocean washing over you. I am always present but there are times when I move and you notice me more. 

When I move, the circumstances change. When I move, the people around you move. When I move, you move. Once I have moved, everything looks different. The same things are still there but it is in a completely different place. 

Let me move in your life and I will rearrange the things that are out of place. I will quench your thirst. I will fuel your fire. 

Being with God...

My prayer:

Awesome God. If there was your purpose in my life today I think I missed it. Today felt like something I survived, not something I lived. 

I don't know, maybe I am being to harsh. I did get to help a couple of people today I think. 

I am ready for my life to mean more, to have more of an impact for you. God, let me in on what you are doing. Let me know how I can be a part of it?

What God Said Tonight:

I have had you in a time, a season, of being with me. Not doing for me but just being with me. This season was important but not comfortable. I don't always need you to do for me. More than anything, I need you to be with me, to believe in me. That is the simplest and hardest thing to do. 

My path leads to glory. My path leads to fulfillment. My path leads to salvation. Walk my path for you. That is what I need you to. I need you to listen to my will for your life and follow it. When there is something that needs to be done, I know I can come to you and you will say yes. But that also means that I will hold back opportunities until it is the one that I truly want for you. Otherwise, you will be all tied up in other things that take your time and attention away from my path for you. 

I have more to do. I have more for you to do. Watch for the open doors and opportunities that I bring. Your purpose will be fulfilled when you do.

Light and hope...

My prayer:

Awesome God. What a long and crazy day. I am very glad to be here with you, safe and sound, and ending the day on a much better place than where it began. 

God, thank you for always pointing out to me the positive in situations. It sure is a better way to live. I remember when I use to not be able to see and find the positive in situations and I was pretty miserable. Now, even in the rough times, you show me the bright spots and those bright spots bring me through.

Please always show me the bright spots and help me to show them to others.

What God Said Tonight:

I am your bright spot. So, as long as I am in something, as long as I am with you, there will always be a bright spot. 

I love you my little lighthouse. Keep shining my light for those around you. 

It is the light that brings hope. Hope is as important to your survival as air. You cannot live without it. I am your light and I am your hope, now and forever.

Gentleness and strength...

My prayer:

God your presence is so sweet tonight. You gentle and loving presence is better than anything else in my life. Mmmm, I love you. 

You are a gentle peace, a joy,  a comfort, a soft warmth that lets me know that everything will be ok. God you are more powerful than anything else in the universe but you are so gentle with me. I love you.

What God Said Tonight:

Gentleness and strength are not opposites. It takes great strength to show true gentleness. 

There is a misconception that gentleness is the same as weakness and there is nothing farther from the truth. Weakness is displayed through fear. Weakness is displayed through forfeit. Weakness is displayed through lording strength over those who have less power than you. 

True strength is showing kindness when harshness is expected. Showing forgiveness when revenge is expected. Showing gentleness in very situation. Strength is shown in love and in the confidence to know that everything will work out in your favor. You don't have to beat someone else to succeed. 

I love you sweet daughter. Rest in my gentleness tonight.

Well rested...

My prayer:

Fantastic Father.  Vacation is over, back to work. I am ready I think but what a wonderful rest you gave me. 

Thank you for blessing me and for giving me the opportunity to be a blessing to others. Thank you for loving me and giving me the opportunity to love others. It all comes down to that really. 

If nothing else, I appreciate how life slowed down a bit over the last week to help me to remember what is important and what isn't. What do you think God?

What God Said Tonight:

Life, your life is a series of steps within a journey. Sometimes the steps are small and they do not take a lot of energy. Sometimes they are quite steep and it takes a lot of energy and work to get yourself up to the next level. When those times come in your life, I always will do my best to provide you a rest time before it to prepare. 

That is why it is so important to rest when you have the opportunity. Your rest is always for a purpose. 

I am glad you are well rested. This next step is steep and will take a lot of effort. But, you are prepared and you are ready. Follow my voice and my lead and I will always make sure you are prepared for the next thing.
