One of the great things about God...

My prayer:

Wonderful Father. You know how I was complaining not that long ago about how life had become so boring...well that season sure is changing. Today was a lot of things but it definitely was not boring!!

God, thank you for being with me and bringing me through every season in my life. I am so grateful that I get to lean on you. I get to bring every worry to you. I get to trust you to always be there for me. I understand what an amazing gift that is God. Or, I begin to understand. 

As long as I am in your presence, nothing else really matters because everything else will work out for my good. You have said it, I have seen it, I believe it. 

What God Said Tonight:

I have seen you in the future and you are going to love it. One of the great things about being me is that I see the end from  the beginning. I already know how it will turn out so that gives me a lot of time to just enjoy the development of something, of you. I don't get inpatient because I know how it will all turn out. 

That is where my great assurance comes from. Your great assurance must come from knowing that I know and that you can trust me. 

Listen for my voice. Move when I say move. And we will see the dream fulfilled in your lifetime.

Run to God...

My prayer:

Awesome God. After a day of stress and being super irritable, I find myself here tonight with you and in perfect peace. It is amazing to me how you can do that. It is amazing how you can bring peace into any situation. 

I love your peace and the calm assurance that you give me. I am all yours God, now and forever.

What God Said Tonight:

I am your safe refuge and your strong tower. I am your place of peace. 

When you are under stress or things are going wrong, run to me and I will surround you with my love, my peace, my protection. Run to me and I will never run away. I will always run toward you to get you safe with me as quickly as possible. 

I am your safe harbor from every storm. I love you and the more you step out and risk for me, the more I will surround and cover you. Do not be afraid.

Pain...

My prayer:

God, I pray for the humility and wisdom to recognize your lessons in my failures. I pray for the humility and wisdom to recognize your lessons in our successes. I pray for the grace and humility to take no offence with others failures. I pray for the humility and wisdom to celebrate the success of others.

Thank you for who you are and all that you do.

What God Said Tonight:

Pain is not always a sign of failure. Pain is sometimes the indication of the exact spot to target your healing.

Pain is like a pointer. It shows you where you need work in order to go to the next level.

The hard part is, the pain doesn't always directly indicate the source of what needs work. That is where wisdom and seeking me comes in. Let me lessen your pain but let me also show you what your pain is pointing to. It is an opportunity to get healed and free from something that has been on you for years.

I love you and I will see you free.

Seeds of truth...

My prayer:

SO many things running through my mind tonight God, I am not sure where to start. I am feeling like we are on the edge of some really exciting and wonderful things and for once in my life, that just has me excited without any fear or worry! That probably doesn't sound like a big deal but it is for me. 

I think I have finally gotten to a place of true and deep trust that not only do you love me and only plan the best for me but that you truly are in charge. Everything that happens in my life, you have either brought or can take me through it. I think I have finally REALLY realized that there is nothing that you can't handle.

Now, I have been saying that for years but I have not been living that way. I have always had that deep seed of worry that things were not going to work out or that I was going to mess it up. For the first time, I think I finally really believe that you are the sovereign God that you have always told me you were and that you have always shown yourself to be.

I am sorry it took me this long. Thank you for not giving up on me. Help me to keep this truth deeply rooted in me.

What God Said Tonight:

The seeds have been planted in you for a long time. It just took the right care and the right environment to see them grow into the full understanding. That is how I almost always teach. 

Sometimes I will give you that "aha!" sudden understanding but most of the time, if you look, there was a seed planted in you long before that moment. It is the seed that grows that makes you able to recognize the aha moment for what it is, truth. 

I am the truth. I will teach you truth. You will live a life of truth if you live with me in you. I love you, now and forever. That is truth too.

The rest of the way...

My prayer:

Wonderful God. Thank you for all of the confirmations lately. Thank you especially for last night. Doubt and offence came knocking but you answered with such a definitive word, it was awesome, you are awesome! 

Thank you for all that you are working out in me right now. I definitely have a long way to go but it is good to be on the way. LOVE YOU!!

What God Said Tonight:

On the way is always the right place to be. There is no final destination as long as you are still on earth. There are only minor stops along the way. 

My way is always the right way to see miracles in your life. 

I love you daughter. Go rest and I will guide you the rest of the way.

God's kiln...

My prayer:

Another great day God! Thank you for this season of joy and freedom! It is hard to believe that I was so discouraged less than a week ago. You have given me insight, you have taught me, and you have filled me with your joy. Thank YOU!

What God Said Tonight:

I have my pots, lined up in the kiln, ready to be fired. I have formed you and shaped you. I now will need to fire you to give you the strength you need. 

Do not be afraid of the fire. It is only a means to an end. I will be in the fire with you. I will see you through. Look to me in the fire and you will not burn. Do not fear. 

God's car wash...

My prayer:

Hey most wonderful God. How are you tonight? I am very grateful that you got me through today. Two hours of sleep is not usually enough to keep a person going all day but we made it and even got a nice trail run in tonight! 

God, I am doing everything I know how to listen to your voice, to embrace what you are doing in my life and to offer this ordinary life as a offering to you. I really hope this is what you want. 

It is so hard to rest, not be so crazy with doing stuff for you, and just experience you instead. I absolutely believe this is where you want me right now but it is harder than it sounds. I will definitely need you constant help through this lesson.

Trusting in you awesome Lord.

What God Said Tonight:

Your life is kind of like being in a car wash right now. All I really need you to do is stay put, don't move, and let me get you cleaned up, polished up and ready to go. 

Every thing is in place to do everything we need it to do. the soap, the water, the polish, the scrubbers, and the hot air to blow you dry. It is all there in place and if you just wait for me to finish the process, you will drive away looking like brand new and ready to take on anything. 

Stay in place and let me do my thing. Love you daughter.
