Nothing is wasted...

My prayer:

Take me somewhere tonight God. I need a change of scenery. I need to get out of the same old same old, if even just for a few moments. I love you. Take me somewhere with you tonight.

What God Said Tonight:

Where would you like to go? There are so many options. I can take you to the heavens and show you my life there. I can take you to the beginning and show you how it started. I can take you to the end and show you how it ends.

I can take you anywhere and anywhen you want to go; but, we will have to return here. To this place and this time because here is where I need you and now is when I need you here.

I do not waste moments and I do not waste lives. Those of you who give you life to me, I take that as a very serious responsibility. I keep it safe and well cared for because of who I am. 

Rest...

My prayer:

We made it God. There were several times this week that I was not sure I would, but here we are Friday night, in one piece and generally in my right mind! 

Thanks for bringing me through another tough week. I enjoyed the challenges. It definitely was NOT boring! 

Love you God and can't wait to hear your voice tonight.

What God Said Tonight:

I have really only one job for you for the next twenty four hours. Rest. Rest in me. Dwell with me. But rest. 

I need you full, not empty. I need you fueled and ready.

 For right now, just rest. I love you. I have so much for you. When you are drained and empty, I can't get to you everything I need to. 

Rest in my love. rest in my peace. Rest in the assurance that I am taking care of everything. I love you, go and rest.

Damage...

My prayer:

People can be so complicated. God, so many of us go through this life and get so damaged. Then we take out our damage on each other. We don't even mean to half the time but we do. And then, we create more damage. 

God, you are the God of Restoration, of Healing. I pray for your Restoration and Healing to cover our lives, our hearts and our spirits so we can be blessings to each other and not damage each other. 

Thank you Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

A world without damage, hurt and pain, that sounds like paradise. I have for you a future that is pure good without pain. But that future is still a hands breadth away. 

In the meantime, you can practice loving each other. You can practice not damaging each other. You won't always get it right and sometimes you will get it really wrong; but, it will help prepare you for the paradise I have for you. 

Practice is not meant to be perfect. If you were perfect you would not need the practice. Practice love every chance you get. As you do, you will see less hurt, less pain and less damage in you and in the people around you. 

I know sometimes I sounds like a broken reeord but the answer truly is, almost every time, LOVE.

God with us...

My prayer:

My God. I want to hear your voice tonight. That is really all I want. Talk to me and let me know that you are here with me.

What God Said Tonight:

You know that I am always with you daughter. You never need to question that. I have come to be with you, now and forever. I have come in the form of the Holy Spirit for this time, this season. There will be a time and a season where I will come as Father and will I will come as Son. For now, I am here in Spirit. 

The Holy Spirit may not be seen easily in a physical way; however, it's presence, my presence could not be more real and could not be more powerful. 

I have come to you in this form to help you. I have  come to show you the way through this life. I have come to be with you. I couldn't stand being apart from my children any more. 

I had to find a way to be with you. So, I first came as Son and sacrifice. Then I came as Spirit and helper. Soon I will come in all of my glory. That will be a truly great day!

Illogical...

My prayer:

Wonderful God. Why do I sometimes want things that I can't have and would be no good for me? It really is illogical. Especially when I see all around me that what I think I want, would likely turn into a disaster. Usually, I am a pretty logical person but not right now. Not with this thing.

God help me to want the things that are good for me, the things that bring me closer to you, the things that are in your will for me. Help me to stop wanting anything that does not.

What God Said Tonight:

I am your God but I do not practice mind control. Your thoughts, your wants, are your own. I gave you free will for a purpose. Only you can make choices of what you will have in your life and what you will not. 

Some of those decisions will be based on your wants, but not all of them. Some of them will be based on what you know is best and what you want to be able to do and to give. 

I am with you no matter what you choose. No matter what you want. I am your Father and I love you. You cannot do anything that will separate my love from you. I want you to make smart decisions because your life will be better. But, I will be with you whether you choose the my will or follow your own desire. 

I am with you in it all. Think about where you are taking me. That might help you choose what is best. But no matter what, I love you.

Fixing it...

My prayer:

Hi awesome Father. Today was rough. I really just wanted to escape all day. Too many problems and not enough solutions. I hate it when that balance is off. I don't mind having some problems. I actually kind of enjoy fixing things. But when the problems outweigh the fixes 100 to 1, that is when I get discouraged. 

God, I am just going to put this whole mess of a day in your hands. You can fix the stuff that I can't. For every problem that I don't have a solution for or an ability to take care of, I give them to you God and ask for your help. 

I am not lazy. I want to do my part. But my part is not enough right now.

What God Said Tonight:

Just because there is a problem in front of you does not mean you must solve it. I know it is your nature, your personality to want to fix it. You want to make everything ok for everyone; but, you can't. And even if you could, you shouldn't.

I have shown you recently how your holding back allows others to come in and be a blessing. I want to do more of that. There will be plenty of times where I will need you to step in and help. Stay alert for those times. But stay alert for those opportunities that allow others the joy of giving and helping. 

I don't need a put together plan that touches on every point of every need. I know the needs. I know how I will meet the needs. Sometimes that will include you. Sometimes, that will include your neighbor or your friend. 

You are always welcome but sometimes your best way of fixing is to stand back and let me work it out. 

I am asking that you follow my voice to the letter. Not just what you think I would like; but, truly listening to my voice to hear what I need from you. It is a key difference. In the first, you are trying to make me happy. In the second you are partnering with me to minister to the world. 

Trying to make me happy will never work because I already am so happy with you. I could not be happier. You are covered in the blood of my sacrifice and are perfected. I cannot love you more, I can not be happier with you, there is nothing that will make me love you more. 

It is time.

Life is a dance...

My prayer:

What a wonderful day God! And to think, I almost missed it. I almost canceled my plans and isolated today but I am very glad that I didn't. 

Thank you for the wonderful friends you have put in my life. Thank you for the beautiful weather. Thank you for a beautiful hike. Thank you for good food and good wine. Thank you most of all for loving me and giving me such a great weekend of rest. 

I feel like I have been on vacation. Thank you for restoration. You are so good to me!

What God Said Tonight:

I have more for you. I have a rhythm of grace for your life. I have a natural flow for your life. When you are in it, I can bring you rest and restoration. When you are in it, I can make you more effective in everything you do. When you are in it, you will have great and overwhelming peace. 

Feel the rhythm, move to my beat, and find yourself in your purpose. 

Life is a dance and I will always be your partner. Remember to let me lead.
