Asking...

My prayer:

Wonderful God. Thank you for hearing and responding to the multiple prayers I sent your way today. You provided, you redeemed, you cleansed, you loved. I am so grateful that I can come to you no matter what the issue, no matter where the person is and you make it all turn around for their good. 

It seems like all I have done is ask you for help today and the thing is, I am not done asking. 

God, I ask for wisdom to make the right decisions and your healing power for my life. You know the situations. I need your help. 

Thank you Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

There is nothing wrong with asking. I tell you to ask, to lean on me. I am your eve present help. Ask and keep on asking. I am here for you and I am here to help you live this life in this less than perfect world. 

I have no problem with asking, but, when you ask, believe that I will show up and take care of it. Expect me to do what I have promised to do. Look for and wait for the response to your prayer. 

Don't forget the follow up. In the follow up is where I get to show the amazing things I have done both globally and locally. I can show you how much what you do matters. 

How to fight sin...

My prayer:

Thank you for the praise report that "E" is home from the hospital and doing great! You are such an amazing healer!! That was a nasty motorcycle accident but you stepped in and took care of it all. Your love and care for us is pretty amazing. Especially since we don't deserve any of it most of the time. 

God, I need to talk to you about something tonight but I am not sure if I should. The thing is, more and more, when I look around and see the terrible things that we as a society, that I, ignore and/or allow, I get worried about where it will all end. How much is too much? How violent does this world have to get before it is done?

But then, I see the other side of the story. Who am I to judge what anyone does? I mess up all the time and all sin is the same to you. There is not greater or lesser sin for you. 

So, do we just allow things to get worse and worse until you come to get us? If not, what do we do? Fight it? Protest? That never seems to be very effective. A whole lot of people have killed a whole lot of people in your name over the years. Seems like that is defeating the purpose. 

What do you think God? What should I do?

What God Said Tonight:

Sin is rampant in this world and has been since the day that Adam and Eve allowed it in. Every generation thinks that there generation is the worst and every generation is right.

The world is on a down hill slide and there is only one way to stop it or even slow it down. Love people. Love them and show them your life with me. The more people that receive forgiveness and redemption before the end, the better. I want all of my children with me in the end. I don't want even one to be stolen.

The way that they get to come to me is not through judgement and not through war The way they come to me is by my children loving them enough to tel them the truth and to love them into the Kingdom.

You want to make a difference in a world that is buried in sin. Love people and tell them about me. It is the only defense against sin.

Remember too that in the end, we win. We prevail. We go on to live life together in paradise.

Our birth right...

My prayer:

You will pour out a blessing on me that I can not contain...Guess you were pretty serious about that God! Thank you for the continued favor. 

I pray God that your favor continue to grow and spread out to the wonderful people you have put in my life. Spread it to every situation in my life. Spread it out to every opportunity you have brought into my life.

I thank you God that you have already said that everything I touch will be blessed. I thank even more that you meant it and you are accomplishing it in my life. YOU ARE WONDERFUL!!! 

What God Said Tonight:

Favor is no mystery. It is not a magic potion or the result of some perfect combination of worship and prayer. Favor is your birth right in me. 

Favor is because of you. You are in me. Favor follows you around because it is looking to land on the people and children of God. Favor is attracted to the children of God. Stay still for just a moment and it will catch up to you. 

Joy right in front of you...

My prayer:

Well God. Today was definitely a Monday. But lots of good stuff happened too and I can only imagine the stuff that you protected me from. I am left pretty drained though. Just want to hear your voice and go to sleep. 

I ask God that you refill and refresh me during the night so I can try again tomorrow. Love you!

What God Said Tonight:

You were stuck looking at today when your vision is focused on tomorrow and that makes it frustrating and hard. 

Your tomorrow is on the way and I have already taken care of it. I know you are anxious for it but don't lose out on today and the joy in today by focusing on tomorrow. Tomorrow doesn't come in any faster by you focusing on it. 

Remember when you were a kid and could not wait to grow up. All you thought about was "One day when I am grown up I will..." But, thinking about it all the time did not make it come any faster. Actually it made it feel like it was taking longer and in the meantime, you missed out on a lot of fun that I had for you in that childhood time.

You missed the joy right in front of you because your eyes were on the future. 

It is good to hope for the future but don't let it rob your joy for today.

A GOOD future...

My prayer:

WOW GOD!!! What a GREAT day! You healed, you restored, you brought home a prodigal daughter and that was all before noon! Then you gave me hope, fellowship, wise counsel and peace like I have not had in a while. 

At the same time, I am SO EXCITED about what is next. You seem to be up to some pretty amazing stuff and I can't wait to see you do your stuff and share it with everyone!!

What God Said Tonight:

Love you back daughter. I have planned for this time. I knew this time was coming. 

When you were worried and wondering about he future, I knew this time was coming. When you could not see how your life was going to work out, I knew about this time. 

I am the giver of hope because I know tomorrow and I know the plans that I have for you and your life. I promise they are GOOD. You step into agreement with me for your future and I can promise it will be good 

Today was good, tomorrow is better and wait until you see next week!!!

Smoldering dreams...

My prayer:

Awesome God. I have a lot of "what ifs" going through my head tonight and I am not sure how to sort through them or better yet, but them to bed so I can sleep. Typically "what ifs" are assuming the worst. What if the world comes to an end tomorrow? What if I get in a car accident? What if...fill in the blank. 

But tonight, my what ifs are all positive. What if the impossible dreams you have put in my heart really can come true? What if I really have been waiting all of this time for your perfect timing? What if all of those things that I gave up on really can happen? 

And suddenly, tonight, it ALL seems possible. Not probable, but definitely possible. Part of me is still a little afraid to hope but most of me is just EXCITED!!!!

What God Said Tonight:

I see you and I know your dreams. I gave you most of them. 

Today is a day to reignite the dreams that have been smoldering. Their ember had almost died but if you breathe on them, breathe life into them, you will find a flame begin to form. Keep at it, keep breathing on it and you will see the flame grow. 

Your dreams have not died, they have been burning under the surface at a low heat. They have been becoming hard and permanent in the fire. Just as clay or metal hardens after being put in the fire, so have your dreams. 

They can now stand the attacks and the trials that will come against them. They can now come out into the light of day and not have to worry about being crushed by a well meaning friend or not so well meaning enemy. 

Your dreams were not dead, they were being prepared. Now, is the time. Today is the beginning. Get ready to see your miracles.

Advance prayer...

My prayer:

Such a wonderful night of prayer and worship with you and with amazing friends. I love nights like this, just soaking in your presence, hearing you so clearly, joining faith and watching you change people and situations in miraculous ways. 

Thank you for all that you do. I love you for who you are. I am all yours God, now and forever.

What God Said Tonight:

You have no idea. There were forces at work tonight that intended to derail your lives. Your combined faith and warring in my Holy Spirit against them created a barrier that they could not get through. Your worship, your prayer, not only was edifying for me and encouraging for you, it kept you from being harmed by the attacks of the enemy. 

When you are listening to me, I will tell you when you need to war and to fight. I will tell you when you need to bind and to loose. I will keep you safe. When you are listening carefully to me you flow in a natural rhythm which matches the need in your life and the lives around you. 

You will pray for protection before you know you need to be protected. You will pray for provision before you know that there is a need. You will pray for favor before you know the opportunity. When you listen closely to me, you can pray in advance of the situation and avoid some pitfalls. 

Seek me first and all these things will be added to you. Keep that word in your heart and in your mind. Seek me often. Listen to my voice and I will lead you always.
