Greatness...

 

My prayer:

Sweet Jesus. Thank you for all that you are doing for us. Thank you for being just what we need when we need it most. The glory is all your God. 

What God Said Tonight:

Now is the time of great experiences and achievements. But those achievements come in reaction to great challenges. 

Do not be afraid of the challenge. Do not be intimidated by it, no matter how big, The challenge is only there to provide the jumping off point, the excuse for the great glory and blessing. 

I will use every last bit of this challenge to bless you. I will turn it for your good. Do not be sad or worried or nervous about the challenge. Truly, rejoice in it. It is there for your good. 

Now and forever my child. I love you now and forever.

God's glory set free...

 

My prayer:

It was another intense day God. Thank you for bringing me through it. Thank you for giving me peace in the middle of the chaos. And thank you for turning 24 hours of work into 12. 

I love you like crazy.

What God Said Tonight:

Every day and every challenge is another chance for you to trust me and for me to show my glory in your life. It does not take a life filled with only good things to show my glory. It is in the hard times and in the challenges where I can most help, when my power and my love is most apparent. 

I never want hard things to come into  your life. But, when they do, I will always provide the opportunity for you to trust me in it and I will always provide the opportunity for me to turn it for your good. 

In your trust, in your faith, my glory is set free.

Restoration...

 

My prayer:

Thank you for answered prayer today God. What would have been a devastating loss, you turned into a short interruption. Thank you for how well you take care of me. Thank you for caring about the things I care about. Thank you for hearing me, even when my prayers may seem small.

I love you Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

A restoration is a reason to celebrate, no matter how big or how small. 

I am a God of restoration. I love to bring back those things that you love. Something that is lost and then found has more value to us than something that is never lost at all. 

I go after the one and I never come back empty handed. 

I love you, now and forever my child.

A night off...

 

My prayer:

Sweet Lord. I am sure I have plenty to talk about but my mind is blank tonight. Maybe tonight I should really just focus on listening and hearing what you have to say. 

What God Said Tonight:

I love you daughter. Not every moment needs to be profound. Not every word needs a purpose. 

Rest tonight and enjoy a moment of no pressure, no needs, no problems to solve. Let me take on the world and the worries and you take a night off. 

I love you and I never intended for you to carry the load you do. You need to off load to me much more than you do. I love you and let me carry the load.

My prayer:

Thank you for a beautiful day God. There are times when I am in the amazing nature that you have created and I just have to look around with my mouth hanging open. There are no words I know of that can accurately describe what you have created. 

I know we have messed it up and I can't wait for the day when you bring the new heaven and the new earth. But until then, I will continue to fully enjoy the rich beauty of the nature we have left.

What God Said Tonight:

Did you love today? Did you give out love? Did you receive love? If so, that is what I consider a good day. 

I watch for the love in your life. I watch for every time you show love and every time you receive love. It is what I most care about. 

Your soul is saved. That is already set in the book of life. Now, I want you to have as much love and you can hold in your life. That is what will make the difference for you and everyone around you. 

Lean on God...

 

My prayer:

Amazing Lord. Today was rough and it wasn't until tonight that I realized, I didn't really ask for your help. No wonder it was so hard! I can think of one moment where I asked for help with a specific situation, but that was it. 

How is it that I can forget? How can I forget to ask for your help? I know from many years of experience that you always help when I ask. I know you turn impossible situations into perfectly solved answers. I know this, but when it was hard today, I just wallowed in my anger and irritation instead of asking for your help.

Forgive me God. You have taught me so well and I simply got it all wrong today. I pray and ask for your help to do better tomorrow.

What God Said Tonight:

A day of struggle may not have been enjoyable but it reminded you of what life, your life, can be if you are not completely dependent on me. 

I tell you this not because I don't trust you and not because you do not have free will. I tell you this because you do have free will. You are free to choose any course at any time. 

I fervently hope you choose my path for you. I fervently hope you choose to lean on me. Not for my sake but for yours. 

I can best love you when you are leaning on me. I can best help you when you are leaning on me. And, I can best bless you when you are leaning on me. 

Come on over and lean on me tonight.

Peace and calm...

 

My prayer:

Amazing God. Thank you for this blessed life you have given me. It is not always easy but it is always blessed. I loved today. Beautiful weather, the space to relax and turn off my brain for a little while. I needed that. 

Living life with you is pretty amazing. The way you take care of everything and work it all out, someone who doesn't know you wouldn't believe it. Thank you for choosing me and saving me. Life would be pretty miserable without you.

What God Said Tonight:

Calm waters, calm seas, this is a time of peace and of calm in your life. It won't last forever, it may not even last to tomorrow, but while it is here, take the time to relax into it. Take the time to really let that peace and that calm soak into your very being. 

There will be times in the future where you will need that bank of calm. You will need to reach back into it. So, take some time and soak it all up now. 

It is as important as air to your well being. 

I love you now and forever my child. Remember that always.

Build your life...

 

My prayer:

Thank you for making a way for my friend tonight God. That was such an ugly situation and at the last minute, like you so often do, you made a way for a peaceful way through it. Thank you for loving her and taking care of her. I remain eternally grateful for you in our lives.

What God Said Tonight:

A house made of wood is sturdy and may last for a few hundred years but house made of stone can last for thousands of years. Build your life with stone, the solid stone of my will and my promises, and it will last you through eternity. 

There is nowhere you can go that I will not go with you. There is no experience you can have that I will not walk through it with you. I am yours and you are mine forever, my child and my brother. I will be for you, forever.

Provision and protector...

 

My prayer:

Thank you for the blessings of today. There were too many to count. I am grateful for this life and this season you have me in. It is beautiful. Can't wait to see what you have for tomorrow.

What God Said Tonight:

A life lived well is its own blessing. 

I will always having blessings and joy in your life. You do have to look for them sometimes. Don't let the worry, the stress, the attacks, overshadow the blessings and joy. They do not have the power to harm you, if you keep you mind and spirit focused on me. 

I am your provision and will provide you with the blessings. I am also your protector and we keep you from harm. 

I love you my child. Keep your focus on me, on the blessings, and live each day in the full embrace of my love.

Lean into God...

 

My prayer:

I had to lean hard on you today God. Thank you for being strong enough to take whatever I give. Thank you for giving me peace when things looked at their worst. Thank you for bringing things to at least a temporary stopping point so I can rest from it all a bit. Thank you for blessing you gave me tonight. That was a truly spectacular sunset!

You are amazing and you take such good care of me. Thank you Father.

What God Said Tonight:

Let the flow of my will run through your life. Lean back on me and let me take you to your next season and to your destiny. 

Every season has its time. It has a beginning, a middle and an end. I have you heading to the end of one season and the beginning of another. But don't be concerned, don't worry about striving for what is next. Lean back into me and I will take you there. 

It is an easy transition if you lean into me. I have great and marvelous things for you my daughter. Never doubt that. I love you now and forever.

Even this...

 

My prayer:

Amazing Father. Today had some surprises in it, not great surprises, but thank you for giving me perspective. Thank you for helping me to recognize that this too will pass and that sometimes, those things I think are so very important, really are not so important. 

I trust you with today and I trust you with tomorrow Lord. I am yours, now and forever.

What God Said Tonight:

Not every bad thing that happens in your life will result in bad outcomes. Not every good thing that happens in your life will result in good outcomes. I am in charge of your life and when you trust me, I can turn those things that are meant to harm you, for your good. I can take that loss that you experience and make it an opportunity for great gain. 

I will fill the holes and you will have more than you had to begin with. 

I tell you, it is not about any particular person or any particular circumstance. It is all about trust and love. Love the people I put in your life and you will see great things. Love and trust me and I will take you places you never could have imagined. 

I have a plan. This was no surprise to me. Trust me to turn even this for your good. For your benefit. 

Grief...

 

My prayer:

Amazing Father. You continue to bless me in ways that I can't even describe and I am so grateful. 

My prayer tonight is for those amazing people in my life that are not experiencing those blessings right now. They are up against struggles and loss that are overwhelming to them. 

I pray God that you be with them tonight. I pray that you comfort them. I pray that you give them help and guidance. Help them to see the path of blessings that you have for them. Help them to overcome the fear of taking that first step on your path for them. God, I lift them up to you in this time where they can't really reach out on their own.

Thank you for being you and for loving us God.

What God Said Tonight:

A death in Christ is nothing more than the beginning of an eternity in paradise. It is vital to remember that truth. 

A loss on earth is a loss, but it is temporary. It needs to be grieved, it needs to be acknowledged but in that acknowledgment, do not lose the joy and celebration for that person who is now with me in heaven. 

A new story of grief needs to be told. A story that is consistent with the truth of the salvation of my people. Grief has no sting for my people. I will help, I will heal, but I will also remind my people of this truth and this new story of good news in the salvation of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. 

Set aside...

 

My prayer:

I cannot praise you enough God. I literally cannot. I am grateful for every minute of this beautiful day you gave me. I am grateful for this amazing life you gave me. You are my everything God. Thank you for the beauty you have surrounded me with. Thank you for health and strength. Thank you for purpose and guidance. Thank you above everything for your love. I am yours, now and forever God.

What God Said Tonight:

I have you here for a purpose. I have set you aside for this time. It is a perfect fit for where you have been and where you are going. Right now, it is your time to enjoy. Live in this moment and enjoy. 

We will have more work tomorrow. We will have places to go. But for now, for this season, rest in your place of sanctuary and peace. I am here with you and loving every minute of it.
