Life in the desert...

My prayer:

Amazing God. Thank you for the peace you brought me today. I pray for your peace to blanket the earth tonight. I pray for a moment where no violence, no fear, no persecution, is present. Only your peace, your love, your joy. Blanket us with your presence God. I love you.

What God Said Tonight:

Even in the desert there is life. A dry season is dry and difficult bit it is not dead. 

Find life wherever you go. Look for the evidence of hope, the evidence of me. Find the small but powerful evidence that I am here and I am with you. I promise I will always leave them. 

I love you and I will see you in joy, in health, in victory before this season is over. I love you and I will never leave you. I love you, now and forever.

Faith...

My prayer:

I fought fear today God. Fear is not something I have to deal with very often. You taught me at an early age how to stand up to fear and watch it run. I got there today, but barely. 

I pray God for your strength, your power, and your healing in me. 

What God Said Tonight:

Faith is a funny thing. You need only a mustard seed's worth but it always feels more comfortable when you have a mountain full. 

Your healing, your future, your strength does not rely on your faith. It is dependent only on me. If you can find one breath to trust me, I will do the rest. 

I have great plans for you. Trust me to do my part.

Empty chairs...

My prayer:

I am seeing things a little differently these days God. Life seems to be throwing me a lot of curve balls and I am never really sure what to expect. It is not boring, that is for sure. 

I pray God and ask you help to field the curve balls. Help me to know what to do and what not to do. What to say and what not to say. Guide my steps and control my tongue 

God. I am yours. Your will be done in all things.

What God Said Tonight:

The chairs are empty and the tables are cleared. You think you have missed the party but the opposite is true. I have postponed the party. I have rearranged things so that you can be front and center. 

Your time is not yet here. It is coming, it is prepared, it is not yet here. I love you.

What defines you...

My prayer:

I am really trying to have a good attitude throughout this latest challenge but I am not doing a very good job. I could spend a lot of time and effort complaining about it all but that doesn't do anyone any good, especially me. So, instead, how about I close my mouth and open my ears. I am confident anything you have to say will be a lot better than anything I could say. I love you and I will keep trying.

What God Said Tonight:

A prayer can take on may forms. Sometimes, just a groan or a cry can be the most powerful prayer their is. Anytime you are connecting with me, it is a time of prayer. 

I was raised on a cross for the whole world to see that I love you more than I love life I was resurrected to show I have power over all, even death. I was lifted high and brought low and none of it changed what I knew to be my purpose. 

The circumstances of your life are not what defines you. They are not who you are. You are my child and as such you can know that I will fight for you in every circumstance. Don't begin to think that you know the season you are in. You know today's circumstances, but that is all. 

I will guide you and lead you through each day until we are on the other side. I love you and I will not leave you to fend for yourself.

Flying...

My prayer:

Awesome God. Thank you is inadequate. Without the sacrifice you made over 2000 years ago, I would not know you. There is nothing worse I can imagine than living this life without knowing you. You made it possible that an imperfect person like me could know, talk to, receive from, be blessed by, the perfect God. My gratitude for that cannot be expressed. You are my world.

What God Said Tonight:

The mountains seem to big to climb, but we will not be climbing them. We will soar over them.We will glide around them. We will fly, not climb.

When you live your life in my will and according to my power, the natural laws no longer apply. Where before you had to walk and climb and struggle, now you can glide and soar. 

I love you my daughter and together we will soar.

I would do it all again...

My prayer:

The day we remember your sacrifice Jesus. It was such a tremendous sacrifice that even though I have known of it my entire life, I still don't think I can fully  wrap my mind around it. You were beaten beyond recognition, treated worse than the worst criminal, and killed in a horrific way. You walked into it willingly with full knowledge of what was to come. And all of it, every minute, every new level of pain, every sacrifice, was all for us. 

Sometimes, when I know I have really messed up, my first thought is God could never forgive me for that. But if I stop and think of all that you went through so I could be forgiven of ALL of my sins, suddenly it does not seem so hard to believe.

Thank you Jesus for every sacrifice. You are amazing and I love you like crazy.

What God Said Tonight:

Every closed door is closed for a reason. But, it is not closed forever. Your next opportunity is just in front of you but the door is closed, for now. 

Stay alert. Stay aware. I will lead you in. 

I love you too and I would do it all again.

Lean on God...

My prayer:

Awesome God. Thank you for healing me. Thank  you for strength. Thank you for bringing me through this season. 

I continue to pray that above all things, your will be done on earth, in my life, as it is in heaven. 

Thank you Jesus.

What God Said Tonight:

Little is known and little is seen of the reality of your life right now. There are great moves and happenings within the spirit realm that you only see the aftershocks. 

It is time to trust me. It is time to know that I am God and that I will not let you down.. Now and forever, regardless of what you see in front of you, my love for you will never die. My watch care for you will never falter. 

Lean into me, knowing I am God. No fear, no worry, just trust. I love you.
